making the item icon the actual 3d model helps with this , many games just have a artist drawn icon and would not go as far as making the model itself , 3d games do have some small advantages in things like these , it seems the developer took full advantage of the visual representation of changes to your character when you change your equipment , very cool , not a big fan of turn based games but synchronous turns are neat , and i don't get bored as fast as you an just rush easy encounters and take your time on harder fights , instead of taking a long time for a fight that is just a stomp

Really wasn't sure how I felt about the artstyle change when it was first shown off tbh but this sold me on it big time. And the new mechanics like breaking glass and cutting open the gate is badass. I may be easy to influence when taking in consideration the dark environments of the game. In any case, consider the scenario for the Abyssal Station in the Expedition DLC. I'd compare it to that context.

Turning the "actions per turn" system into "turns per action" is really ingenious And everything else? My expectations were exceeded. Now playing loud or stealthy is truly different from one another
this is truly the next iteration of turn based system. made me realize there is no sense of timescale in crpgs. if one character is faster they just had more AP and did more attacks. now with this system you'll literally be able to do more things in the same frame of time and feel the difference. imagine using a time slowing psi ability and dropping three dudes in the time it takes for them to take two steps. attacks take time to prepare too, which means you can hide back in cover before they start shooting. it'll feel like john wick simulator

Wow, I didn't know Infusion evolved so drastically, turning into Underrail 2 in the meantime. I do like where you are going with this, looks like Underrail x Wasteland 3 -- which is good, bc I love both.
The health, psi and i guess action point bars are very unique, huge fan of the atmosphere and vibes. Those two things made underrail incredible if you had even the slightest ability to fill in the gaps with your imagination. The first game never got the attention it deserved for what it was, this one I can see being massive, I was never a turn based or classic fallout player but underrail drew me in like no other game.

new environment interaction options and lightning look splendid. getting rid of turns/action points and moving to you move the world moves paradigm feels good as well.
This already looks phenomenal, and compared to the previous and already-cool crafting system, the dynamic attachment system just seems like it's going to add heaps more versatility to how we get to prepare for and handle encounters. The lighting is also amazing, and I love how much immersion the flashlight seems to add when interacting with darker environments. Speaking of immersion, I'm a huge fan of all the new animations for everything right down to storing quick-slot items in the tactical vest. I had high expectations as a result of your previous work, but I've just had to pick my jaw up because this is something else entirely; I have 1300 well-spent hours in UnderRail, and I can't wait to dig into Infusion for many thousands more!
I've never seen a turn based system like that, I'm really excited to try it out one day when I get the chance. Trying new things is always a risk but i think you've gotten your system for combat to a good point and I'm really excited for it!
Honestly, all the devs I’ve followed lost my respect a long time ago, and I haven’t pre-ordered a game in years. But you’re the only dev whose work I’ll always buy on day one and at full price because you fucking deserve it. Great work, and I’m looking forward to it!
Looks awesome, lighting in particular is very atmospheric. The expanded gameplay has a lot of potential. Visuals and ambient sounds are rad tho I would prefer a more obnoxiously loud assault rifle sound. Keep up the superb work.
something as simple but sweet looking as that lung, heart and brain indicator (which i assume is stamina, health and ???) makes me super excited for the game edit: holy shit i just checked out those sweet equipping animations and waaay clearer weapon modification with ui and all! looks great!
This looks great so far, I really like the changes to the HUD and Inventory system and the new Health/Psi display is very creative. My only gripe is the player model, it looks like a place holder or like a pre-made asset of a generic human, the animation of him walking and running looks floaty and weightless. I understand this is early alpha and subject to change, just thought I'd share.
This just looks phenomenal. The new armor visualization, the weapon mods showing up on inspection, and even just the environment looks awesome. I have a feeling the new armor slots may have been inspired by Colony Ship RPG, which is not a bad thing. Blown away that this is an alpha, its more complete than most early access games are in 1.0
