- Healthy game day snack ideas or simply entertain your family and friends with this crispy chili tofu using air fryer. Spicy tofu in tandoori masala turned out delicious. Crispy from outside and soft inside. A great weight loss, low carb and high in protein appetizer if you are looking to make. It is also Vegan, dairy free, and gluten free. Enjoy this with your favorite sauce. I am having with coconut sauce which perfectly blends with the spiciness of tofu. Let me know if you try and don't forget to spice up your day. Crispy Chili Tofu in in Air Fryer (Tandoori Tikka Masala)
Spicy Tofu Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb Organic Tofu (Firm / House Foods Brand from Costco)
2 tablespoon Gram flour / Besan
2 teaspoon Garam masala (any kind)
1 teaspoon red chili powder (you may add 2 teaspoon for more spicy)
1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
2 teaspoon tandoori masala
1/4th teaspoon turmeric
Crushed black pepper
Salt to taste
Half lime juice
1 tsp olive oil
Directions:
Drain and press tofu as shown in the video. Cut them into cubes.
Add all the dry ingredients in a bowl, mix well and taste before adding tofu cubes. Then gently mix together with lime juice and drizzle of oil.
Air Fry Directions:
Pre heat air fryer. Spray a bit of cooking oil. Place the marinated tofu into the basket making sure they are not over crowded. Then air fry for 6 minutes under 380 degree F. Open, turn the tofu pieces and air fry for an additional 6 minutes.
Serve it hot with any sauce you like. Or just be creative like the coconut sauce I used. Enjoy!
If you don't have an air fryer, you may bake it in the oven or shallow fry in a pan.

i have never tried tofu and didn't knew its variations in cooking. You have covered so yummy dishes on tofu on your channel and they are great. I loved this crispy appetizer recipe. the lime and olive oil drizzel is going to enhance more flavor to these cuties.

I don't have air fryer, i can do shallow fry with minimum oil in pan, right? In tat case, how many minutes i need to dry each side?
It will be done much sooner when you shallow fry. Try 2 min each side first. Depends on how crispy you like.
