I'm watching this in the library and trying not to cry. Can we all pray for a miracle? Sending healing light, do what you do, please fellow Duranies. 🙏🏼💞💫
I just finished listening to Andy's new solo album and it was solid, as were his vocals. I loved it. I remember this song so well when it was released. One of my favorite songs off the album. It breaks my heart he's suffering from stage 4 prostate cancer. I pray he will have a miracle cure but he'll always live on in the wonderful music he created with DD and his solo work.
this album is sooooooo under rated. he was sooo way ahead of his time. Prayers for Mr. Taylor. May the Good Lord look into his eyes and heal him, pls dear Lord.
I purchased this album, when it came out, Love it! If the label released a single, it would probably have been edited a lot, lessening the effect. Although if edited carefully, just play it twice! `Just as nice!' This was played on the Album Rock FM radio stations, at the time. It's unpredictable: some records sell a lot, others more moderately. It's up to us, the Public. This is a much harder sound than most Duran Duran.
One of the greatest rock songs Andy Taylor has a powerful beautiful voice good song writer one of the greatest guitar player in rock music. The 80s is the greatest decade for rock n hard rock music, 😎🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸🎸🌹🌹❤️❤️🏋️🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🎸🎸🌹
Listening to my discover weekly list today....there's this hot guy's picture with this song playing, great voice, amazing guitar work..... Andy Taylor... WHAAAT?!?!..... Steve Jones, as in Sex Pistols Steve Jones?!?!.....WHAAAT?!?! In '83, my DD poster was replaced by Power Station - mainly due to Andy's guitar work and Robert Palmer 💕 This has made my day a happy one!
I think we were spoiled by what we had. As the years went by, we missed so many great songs. Not to mention the artists themselves! This album is now my favorite 80s album!
Take my hand or you'll be sorry I'm the music for your story Walk with me Through the lonely nights Follow me through the darkness Down deep, give me your kiss Come on baby I won't let you down Take my hand, don't ask why I can't wait forever Put your hand on my heart Swear to me when you say I might lie When I look into your eyes I could love you 'til forever When I look into your eyes Tell me why When I look into your eyes I could love you 'til forever When I look into your eyes I don't know why I love you When I don't even know you Trust in you I do the best I can Take my hand, don't ask why I can't wait forever Put your hand on my heart Swear to me when you say
Unfortunately, we are slaves or what the record companies tell the radio to play. I'm a vocalist, and a pretty damn good one. We came close to making it, but the powers that be declined. The music industry really does suck and I'm glad my son went the corporate way instead of following his father because he sang just like me. This album is GREAT. I have been listening to it for years and it never grows old. Andy is a great writer, guitarist and vox. I wish him life and recovery. Thanks for blessing bus with your songs............
Great song, great album. I remember getting a copy of this vinyl album in the 1980s and saying to myself "this is the dude in Duran Duran?" It's a great real rock and roll album loaded with so many excellent tunes. Rocks!
Duran Duran must have held Andy back... As I recall this is what he put out after leaving the band... Always thought it was smokin' hot... still is!!! Way to Go Andy!
Andy Taylor, Duran Duran's black sheep, guitar rebel, bad boy & the only one from Duran Duran to have a somewhat successful solo album. I think "Thunder" is a really good album and should of been promoted better. The whole album has several awesome tunes! ♥
Actually it was promoted pretty heavily. I can't speak for the rest of the US, but where I lived in NJ/NYC area, it was in good rotation on radio and there was a lot of posters around at record stores. The record had some good reviews but just wasn't embraced by the general public. I bought the album, even though I was more of a Heavy Metal and Thrash fan, I still liked the whole album. One of my fondest memories was blasting this on my "boom box" in my garage while I was washing my car in the driveway. Sometimes some albums just fall through the cracks, especially back then in the 80's. I think because this was more of a "cross-over" style it didn't fit in with the 'pop' music of the time, and was less of a 'hair metal" entry than other bands at the time.
Had this recorded in cassette...I still remember how much effort took me to find someone who had the original vinyl...Nowadays you have only to "youtube" a song and you have it...Different eras, but to be sincere I miss those times when you had to "sweat" to acquire good and rare music...!!!
he should have left duran duran a lot sooner than he did . he was born to rock . i bought this album on cassette in 1986 and wore it out ! in the early 2000s , i stumbled on it in a used c.d. store ! i bought it and still listen to it . great album folks ! i,m 51 and still listen in 2021 !
I haven't heard a song with such good replay value in ages! Must've repeated it about twenty times before I went to sleep last night. How did I not know about him sooner?
Andy, dude, if you ever swing by here, I just wanna let you know: Take It Easy kept me breathing on 2 different occasions in my fuktup life. Thanks for that, mate..
Man, this is such a rare song now. People in my age group (born after 1990) probably only know it because of Armand Van Helden sampling it in the mid-2000s when sampling old songs in house tracks was a fad. It's a shame because this song really deserved to be a classic - The song and video are both amazing and get me really hyped up!
it seems like yesterday when I heard and saw the video on mtv. I’m glad I saw you Andy in San Diego the astronaut tour. I recently saw Duran Duran in Chula Vista my hometown hope to see you again. You are amazing my thoughts and prayers are with you. 😊
@EpiphoneGear , I do believe Andy was a vital part of Duran Duran's sound. It's obvious that Duran Duran were more successful band wise when Andy was involved.
I named my son after Andy Taylor my son is now 20 years old I miss you Andy I hope that you do another tour with Duran Duran because I don't miss it or
Andy Smoak Couldn't be more true! a lot of listeners don't realize it, but Andy's strong rock vouce provided the backing vocals, needed to make Simon's (unconventional) voice work. Studio and stage.

This song and "Take It Easy" are my favorite two from him. I wish he had it greater. I love his tunes. He deserved a greater shot than he was given. Not bloody fair! Guy was talented too. I mean his music didn't have the overall edge of Duran Duran but he could've done something greater.
I'm watching this in the library and trying not to cry. Can we all pray for a miracle? Sending healing light, do what you do, please fellow Duranies. 🙏🏼💞💫
Yes! I'm praying for a miracle for Andy. Please Lord, heal Andy completely of this disease. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

Baddest song on planet since 80 s

For the first time...sorry
Happened to me I thought who is Andy Taylor? Only knew one Andy Taylor from DD lol. Im speechless and what a honey. I was too busy looking at John

We had a miracle and now he has more material for more blazing tunes.

Andy we can’t lose you!!! I grew up listening to you! Duran Duran is and always will be a piece of me. Fight as long as you can!! 😈🖤🖤🖤
How this song wasn't a hit? Its fucking great! Andy its a very talented singer and guitar player.
i think the same!
Because he was the guitarist in Duran Duran - the hard rock community at the time couldn't take him seriously.
He rocked too hard for Duran Duran fans to appreciate it, but the stigma of Duran Duran meant the hard rockers couldn’t take him seriously, either.
I LOVED this song when it came out...had it on a couple of my home made tapes lol. So sad to hear the news about Andy Taylor today...😔

That whole album kicks ass!!
One of the most underrated guitarists of all time. Andy Taylor could easily hang with the best! Great song, great memories!
Love Andy! Such an underrated artist & guitarist!
Even in Duran Duran he strove for a BOLD guitar style. One of my influences ALWAYS. Andy Taylor ROCKS.
He had to break away from the D-squared for a banger of an album! This was such an underrated classic 80s song!

You can not judge a song by its views, and this song is the definite proof
The whole album is amazing…I wore out the cassette when I was a kid. This was before genres could cross over like today…
I agree #Thunder
Loved this album.
one of the most underrated songs ever...
One of the most underrated musicians and singers ever.
i remember thinking THIS SONG IS GONNA BE HUGE!! AND IT WASN'T :(
@Garegh62 Thunder was a good rocking for that electronic period. You can tell you don't like it but He is Andy Taylor and you nothing
True!
@Garegh62 far from and literally? well, tell us about it, please :)
Take my hand or you'll be sorry
I'm the music for your story
Walk with me
Through the lonely nights
Follow me through the darkness
Down deep, give me your kiss
Come on baby
I won't let you down
Take my hand, don't ask why
I can't wait forever
Put your hand on my heart
Swear to me when you say
I might lie
When I look into your eyes
I could love you 'til forever
When I look into your eyes
Tell me why
When I look into your eyes
I could love you 'til forever
When I look into your eyes
I don't know why I love you
When I don't even know you
Trust in you I do the best I can
Take my hand, don't ask why
I can't wait forever
Put your hand on my heart

I think Andy was a wonderful singer! 😍

ANDY TAYLOR, YOU ROCK!!!!
Wow this song is so good. That chorus is catchy!! I just discovered Andy did a solo album, it's great, his voice is good, too!
It's been a fave of mine since it came out! One of my special possessions! Bought it in NYC!
Duran Duran must have held Andy back... As I recall this is what he put out after leaving the band... Always thought it was smokin' hot... still is!!! Way to Go Andy!
Nick Rhodes held him back.
And to think he played in Duran Duran Seems like he was unleashed with his solo music. Such an underrated song and guitarist 🎸 🤘👍
He was also in the Super Group Powerstation

Hi. I'm 51 and hated Duran Duran but loved Andy's music when it came out. I went to see him somewhere in Glasgow when he toured. Loved it.
This sing is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of the best 80's song

You probably did and didn't know it. He was the founding guitarist in Duran Duran. His hair got longer and guitar got louder.
Got you beat listened to it 25 times lol
Because,....insert your age!
Some songs just never get old...this is one of them.
I remember this song when it came out in 1987.🤗♥️🤗

ANDY !! You are Rock Forever ! !
september , 2020. from Japan.
I always thought this great song was very under-rated and never got the airtime it deserved !!
Andy is one of the coolest dudes on the planet.
Know why Duran Duran was so popular? Because they had a kick ass guitar player named Andy Taylor.
Compare this to modern music! The 80s are back!
Love me some Andy Taylor!!! Sweet sweet music. I won't lie....I love this man!!!
He sure looked good during this period of his career. And sounded good.

Awesome. One of my favourite albums of the eighties.
GREAT ALBUM !!! I was 20 then, Ill listen to it tonight at work
Master of rock in DuranDuran and in good heavy metal following his path and not bowing to the proposals of the producers! Excellent Andy!!
it was a hit back in the day , i remembered it instanly after 30 years
