The way case manufacturers for cell phones get dimensions so they can make their products and when those leaks start coming out that usually happens by design not just for the launch but the release of the cell phone. So, I wouldn't be surprised if this thing gets announced but then the release date is very shortly after the announcement. They want all the bugs worked out during this release and feedback and what not run some firmware updates get it in the hands of the gamers and then by the time the holidays come around next year they'll have a sale and they can really push out more units and the thing will explode as long as it does good. That's an assumption of course but let's see what happens

I dont think the close in image for the joy con and the orange grip isnt actually an colored grip accessory,it could actually just be the new switch turned on and the joycon is actually connected to the console in the picture and not on an actual accessory for the console.The picture might have just been taken when the innitial first boot up screen starts when you turn your new console on like on the first switch with the trumpet humming sound.And thats what i think the orange color is,it might not even be orange and its an dimmed lit startup screen from the room the console was booted up in.Hence why it looks orange instead of the classical red were all used to at this point,or its an actuall accessory and we just dont know what it is in full yet...

How different do you want it to look??? Unlike the ps5 and xbox that are just computers that sit on a table, the switch is a handheld as well so it has to be designed with functionality in mind. The design worked the first time so why change it drastically, doesn't make sense

I would love the 1080p OLED screen as well but it would be an extremely tough resolution for handheld mode. It's more than double the pixel count of 720p. Approx 900K vs 2 million pixels. The TDP would be too great for a console with the Switch 2 profile. The RoG Ally is 1080p and requires significant thickness to accommodate the heatsinks required to maintain adequate temps. Furthermore this would lead to very poor battery life by Nintendo's standards; under 2 hours if RoG Ally is anything to go by. I still have doubts the dock mode will upscale to 4K, I'm expecting 1440p due to heat. Even with the fan in the dock there's very little space to push air in a current Switch. Nintendo has some wizards of engineering so perhaps they've really worked some magic but I remain sceptical as we're still running on rumors.
I feel like the switch 2 honestly has nothing crazy added to it. The only thing would be the games exclusive to it. I will probably just be keeping my OG Nintendo switch
