@AN-DROID GAMER RATUL People are mad because it is very obvious that MCU Spidey depended too much on Stark to the point that he was dangerously near "Side-kick territory." And there's really no reason to hate on the TASM crane scene, because that's like saying Spider-Man shouldn't have been helped out by people in the train on Spider-Man 2. These two scenes are very similar and both show the city finding out that there is a hero that saves them, and they are also willing to support him. Now this is very different from Spider-Man being helped too much by Ironman. @AN-DROID GAMER RATUL Yeah me too, I don't like it when they call him "Ironboy Jr." It just doesn't sound like spider-man. And even though you might think there's no reason to, that's ok. But I had to admit that there's a little bit of truth in the name. But people have different perspectives, I just wanted to show you the other side of the spectrum.
What I wished: Spider-Man 4 Amazing Spider-Man Trilogy without Interference from Sony MCU Spider-Man films that continues Tobey Maguire’s Peter’s story
Well realistically speaking if the amazing spiderman trilogy wouldnt be interfiered with by sony they wouldnt have flopped causing for sony to make the disney deal so that means either a tobey in the mcu or a good sony spiderman universe
I’m going to be honest, I love this film, it’s one of my favourite Spider-Man movies. I know it’s an unpopular opinion, I know everyone trashes TASM movies, but I love them. I love Andrew Garfield, I love the action, I love the characters, I love a lot of things in this movie. So I thank you, for making a positive video about this movie, I feel there are so many videos thrashing these films to the point where it’s getting old. It’s fine to have an opinion and I do agree sometimes with a lot of the issues people have with these films, but I just feel like people should try something new and talk about what this film got right. So I thank you. I love your content and I love this video.
Solar animations I KNOW!! I think it’s ridiculous that people keep tearing this movie to shreds. I agree these 2 movies are the weakest in all the Spider-Man movies we got, but dang! Sometimes I feel like Batman & Robin gets more respect than The Amazing Spider-Man movies, and that’s truly pathetic because these movies were nowhere near that level of bad. I’m sick of the unnecessary trashing of this movie too.
KingInTheNorth Um...nobody is wrong. Art is subjective. If you like the movie, you like it; if you don’t, you don’t. Nobody is wrong for liking the movie, nor is anybody wrong for disliking it.
The most appealing part was the lack of plot holes and ridiculous coincidences. The Spider-Man story bathes in them, but this movie does a great job of connecting everything(like a web). Gwen working at Oscorp and her father being police chief were unlikely, but the movie explains why Spider-Man knows the Lizard: Spider-Man got his powers from his father's research, and the Lizard's work succeeded because he worked with Spider-Man's father. Also, the Lizard fighting a SWAT team is exactly what should happen if supervillains existed, and it worked very well.
That email sounds like the real life version of that clip when Steve Buscemi is walking around a school in an unzipped hoodie, backwards baseball cap and a skateboard slung over his shoulder saying, "Hello, fellow youths."
This movie and the series it could have spawned could have been something genuinely special. Webb, Garfield, and everyone else deserved far better. Great video, man.
I'll just going to say this, but the reason why I prefer Andrew Garfield among both three is because, 1 he's a really talented actor, and 2 his version of Spider-Man was a damn man, like he had confidence and strength, something that Spider-Man fans can disagree, but that's just how I see Spider-Man
I do agree that Garfield gave a good performance in spite of the problems with the scripts he was given, but I also feel that, in terms of embodying the character of Spider-Man and Peter Parker, Maguire and Holland are closer to home for me.
All composers had different type of heroism in their themes when it came to Spider-Man. Danny Elfman - Iconic heroism. Christopher Young - Dark heroism. James Horner - Magic heroism. Hans Zimmer - Frenetic heroism.
This is coming from someone who believed these films to be irredeemable: You're a genius and you managed to legitimately find something really brilliant in this film. Thank you.
My grandma has raised me my entire life, and Peter’s relationship with Aunt May in TASM is a scarily accurate mirror of my relationship with my grandma. Down to even certain things that get said and situations that take place between the two of them. I think that’s why the TASM duology will always be special to me. It was real.
This is one of the reasons why this show has a special place in my heart and will always be better than the spiderman we are getting from Tom. Everything felt too damn real, its like looking at a mirror, I've lived with my grandma and grandpa, it is scary accurate how the interactions they have are similar to ours (not literally per-se but you get the point) and Andrew's spiderman literally moves likes spiderman, better than Tom's and I dare say Tobey's spiderman, which is why I kinda get the whole Tobey is the best peter parker but Andrew is the best spiderman.
@@DVRKSTXR Yeah, that's cool, but when watching a superhero movie you don't expect realism, you expect an extraordinary story, and that's where I think TASM failed, they focused way too much on realism that ended up making an ordinary story
TBH TASM's Flash Thompson is the best live action Flash i've ever seen.. the Raimi Flash is so..... much than a bully, The MCU Flash... well we don't talk about him. TASM Flash is perfect.
Damn thanks man. I was too young to really understand this movie and just disliked it because it wasn't like the comic books I read and as a superhero fan and a well-versed moviegoer I have stayed away from watching it again. All I ever knew from these films was what everyone told me. Thank you for being able to show me a new perspective.
Sure. They're not COMPLETELY devoid of merit, just mostly. I wouldn't go back and give it another chance though. I rewatched it somewhat recently and it was worse than I remembered, it's dull and pretty stupid.
The reason why I love your channel so much is because you YOU are a normal person. As weird as that sounds it humanizes you because all the movie and series reviewers focus so much on “proffessionalism” and it ruins the feel of the video. They sound like someone doing a job instead of someone who genuinely cares and loves a movie. Your review on Spiderman PS4 is the most genuine response to the game I have seen and I respect you so much for it. Please never change and always stay true to yourself because I really love how you make these videos
This is the best channel on UA-cam. Your artistry, your ability to tell stories are inspiring! Congratulations on the sponsorship and keep up the phenomenal work.
I need more videos like yours. Videos that actually showing passion and emotion in the things you talk about. I actually believe that you love movies and that you love these characters. Your video on batman is one of my favorite videos of all time. Seriously, keep up the work, you actually, legitimately inspire me.
“American writers often say they find it difficult to write Superman. They say he’s too powerful; you can’t give him problems. But Superman is a metaphor. For me, Superman has the same problems we do, but on a Paul Bunyan scale. If Superman walks the dog, he walks it around the asteroid belt because it can fly in space. When Superman’s relatives visit, they come from the 31st century and bring some hellish monster conqueror from the future. But it’s still a story about your relatives visiting.” -Grant Morrison
I made a video in response to this comment, a sort of why the current rendition doesn't work from my perspective. My points aren't phenomenal, but the gist is there.
Such a good scene, even better when you realize that being on the bridge is metaphorical for change, passing towards something else, crossing over your own flaws, selfishness and twisted vendettas instead of drowning yourself into them. Peter Parker becomes Spider-man when the way to Manhattan is open for him. His greatest challenge yet as a hero is on his way to Spider-man's home (Manhattan). Clearing such a challenge allows him passage to where he can be his hero self.
You honestly made me cry, my dude. This is a great video. And this is why I saw this mediocre movie twice in theatres, because through all the shit there was still a real, emotional story about the fictional character who means the most to me. Thanks.

I can’t believe you only have this many subscribers, because the energy you take into making each video and the quality and passion of every one of them honestly goes above and beyond most creators. Thanks for making the amazing content you put out, and don’t ever stop man :)).
This video gave me a completely new perspective of tasm, I loved the movie but watching this helped me understand why people *thought* it was bad. Because they didn't see like I didn't. But now I do, thank you 😊
That's why I don't really dislike this movie that much, its biggest sin would be its blandness in comparison to the funkyness of the previous films, but I thought the movie was making itself clear of this character arc once he finishes saving the people on the bridge and taking a look at his mask, thinking what Cap Stacy said and the direction he wants for his powers.
The Amazing Spider-Man, Into The Spider-Verse and Spider-Man 2 are the best Spider-Man films ever made. Unfortunately today with Disney I really doubt we'll ever seen again something so close to the comics character like these three films... My congratulations for your video, you have done an amazing job ! ❤
Overanalysing movies is almost always good and you should not have to excuse yourself for that. As long as your arguments make sense it's the best thing when talking about film.
Nobel prize HiTop, nobel prize! Glad you're finally getting the recognition you deserve and boy did you tease us with this for a while. I'm definitely seeing the film in a new light now. It was worth the wait.
This trilogy came out at the wrong time in my life for me to be interested at the time. And what I did see hasn't encouraged me to go back and watch them now. Maybe I should...
your genuinely amazing, the way I look at movies now after watching you is so different from how I did before, just don't quit and I know your going to be the most popular film analyzer youtuber in no time and things companies like marvle or DC might actually consider what you say people want, because as far as your comic book movie videos go you hit the nail on the head 100% of the time
There's a reason why these films are better than MCU's Spiderman: they actually gave a sh*t about putting Ben into the movie, because they know you CANNOT remove NOR replace him. I have greater appreciation for these films now. 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
Douchebag... you prolly dont know who Spiderman/Peter Parker are. Tom's could've been named "spider boy" and would be much better, as that kid just doesnt feel like Peter Parker and Spiderman.
The beauty of this is that even though Flash has an audience and the perfect opportunity to justify pounding Peter, he lowers his voice and keeps the moment between them private. He came to comfort Peter and even though he was met with sudden anger, Flash still tries to comfort him because he knows Peter needs someone in his corner for one day in his life.
This was always my favorite part of this movie...I actually lost my great uncle right around the time this movie came out and I used anger as a coping mechanism...this scene felt like it was speaking directly to me.
After watching this video, I can now say that I didn’t appreciate The Amazing Spider-Man 1 as much as I should’ve. It’s similar to Spider-Man 3, there’s a good film hidden deep within it that needs to be dug up to see it. Thanks Alex for helping me see that 👍👍👍
Nothing more to say. I actually saw the ASM movies when I was eleven/thirteen years old so that I liked both of them very much when I first saw them (you just are more excitable for everything as a kid) and even now I like the first one quite a lot in spite of seeing all its flaws and even the second one has its moments and is almost kind of enjoyable for me from time to time (a statement which I'm going to be killed for but whatever)
It was nice to see a positive analysis of this movie. I actually like the reboot, and I wish it would have continued. I really don't care for Spider-Man Homecoming, although I do like Tom Holland as Spider-Man/Peter Parker. Crazy Idea, I would like to see Andrew Garfield reprise his role for the Venom sequel. How? We got the Spiderverse film right after Venom, so audiences know that there are now different universes. During renegotiations, let the MCU do their thing with Spider-Man, and then Sony can do their version. Two different Spider-Men in two different universes. Hey, it could work!
Yeah that's what I was thinking too. Is there any reason we couldn't say that Venom is set in the TASM2 universe? As long as the MCU keeps putting out their own awesome Spidey content, I'd be all for this
@@rainmaker2338 it would make sense too, especially since the Venom movie had similar qualities to the Ultimate Venom from that story. So were the villains in TASM2 movie. A loose version of The Ultimate Spider-Man story line is what Sony could follow. I'd be up for that!
Both were beyond horrible. Peter Parker is a total asshole, the editing is shit, the lizard is garbage, for some reason Harry thinks Peter knows spiderman based on a picture he took from like a mile away, and Peter's parent's subplot was just complete garbage.
laz kar I think it works for those films tho. I wouldn’t take Man of Steel or BvS seriously if the saturation was way too high. This is why I really dislike age of Ultron because the saturation is just awful.
laz kar Well I actually liked the colors in MOS and BvS. MOS has way more color than BvS it’s not all dark. BvS also has some color with the knightmare scene. I just like that aesthetic with the dark colors I know that’s just me though. I didn’t think any CGI was bad for BvS either.
@@BUGG1257 cause he has the best acting and plays Spidey perfectly. I even liked his Peter Parker. Don't understand the hate with his Peter, people say he's too cool for Peter Parker and he isn't awkward but I just don't see that. Sure he uses a skateboard now and may look cool but he's still the awkward Peter Parker we all know and love. Just look at the scene from the 1st movie when he asks Gwen out, he was super shy but still felt very confident cause he liked her very much. And that scene was after he got bit by the spider, I think the spider gave him a little bit more confidence. If he didn't get bit I think he would've struggled more to do things like that.
@@BlueBlur2003 I totally agree. People claim hes to cool, but I always saw it as a facade. Because underneath the cool cockiness Peter Parker was just scared. I mean, it's a fact that Peter makes jokes during fights to ease his fear a bit. So I always felt like the director was going for something like that. Like hes not really cool, hes just a nerdy, shy guy with a facade so he doesnt show it.
@@BlueBlur2003 You guys probably didn't read the comics. I think that most people that have a problem with Andrew compare it to the comics wherein he really should be a nerd/ loser(it makes more sense for the character). Looks-wise though he's a really good fit.

I don't see the reason why Sony hire people like Raimi and Webb if they are still the one who makes the call here. its like hiring an artist to draw for you but you're teaching the artist how to draw if that analogy makes any sense.
I really love The Amazing Spider-Man. I know people dislike it, but I love the first one. Andrew Garfield is incredibly underrated as Spider-Man, and he got done dirty by Sony. Garfield is my personal favourite live action Spider-Man, followed by Tobey and then Tom. I would’ve loved to see Garfield’s Spider-Man in a universe like the MCU. I feel like his Spider-Man would actually work better in that Universe. I feel bad for Mark Webb. I really liked his vision, and the darker, more grounded take on Spider-Man and the “Vigilante” aspect of the character, right down to the suit. I love the TASM suit. I love it’s darker tones and makeshift stuff like the sunglasses and tennis shoes. Like I said, I know people hate this movie and I understand why, but I love it. Great Video, Alex
I agree. I loved the first movie. I was so disappointed with the second one. What were they thinking casting Jaime Fox as Electro. From the moment I saw the trailer I knew it was going to be bad.

Toby’s Spider-Man, and Andrew’s Spider-Man we’re relatable at least in there personal life with normal human problems, and they both are stand alone super like the 1962 Spider-Man the original Spider-Man, and Tom isn’t that, so you mcu fans tell me what is relatable about mcu Spider-Man, if he has problems at home or in his personal life

Marc Webb and Andrew Garfield deserved to have a good movie. Marc should have gotten his shot to make the movie he wanted without the interference of Sony. We would have probably gotten such good movies. It was so unfair to both of them that I will forever feel sad about this. :((
This is what I’ve been saying for years, this movie was so close to being good! If only the second was like this, The series would be considered a decent Spider-Man series and not a studio controlled hack job...
4:51-- yeah, I love it! In your right to zero in on this. Mark Webb is right it was the right intro to encapsulate the whole point of the film. Campbell Scott was the Perfect cast for Peter's father...! And your analysis about all the father figures and Peter's life and how is not appreciating the parents who really has... All spot-on!
Another great video man! You're doing good work. I actually really like the Amazing movies (definitely the first one more) and you nailed it, dude. People don't talk about the father-son dynamic in this movie enough.
Look... The TASM movies are flawed as hell and it's all Sony's fault... BUT I love them. Scenes like this are scattered throughout both films and those scenes are Spider-man! Garfield feels like Spider-man, Webb gets Spider-man!
Excellent video as usual. Regular compliments are becoming too routine from me now, and I fear that my appreciation for your superb efforts are becoming understated. I'm going to say very before every compliment for the next few weeks as a result. Regarding if that becomes too routine, well, we'll cross that bridge when we arrive there.

For every amazing thing in life, there’s three disappointing things it seems like
Amazing Spider-Man 3 could've been a chance for redemption
What I wished:
Spider-Man 4
Amazing Spider-Man Trilogy without Interference from Sony
MCU Spider-Man films that continues Tobey Maguire’s Peter’s story
i agree
Well realistically speaking if the amazing spiderman trilogy wouldnt be interfiered with by sony they wouldnt have flopped causing for sony to make the disney deal so that means either a tobey in the mcu or a good sony spiderman universe
I wanna see the amazing Spider-Man in the mcu
Alejandro Feo Cecin What do you want? Not asking in a rude way, just want to see.
Me two
I’m going to be honest, I love this film, it’s one of my favourite Spider-Man movies.
Couldnt have said it better myself. I love these movies aswell. And i respect everybody's opinions on it.
KingInTheNorth

Can we talk about how realistic the relationship between Ben and Peter was? if you live with your old grandpa you know thats true.
The trilogy's ben parker was great tbh
It’s realistic but ben’s fucking death, ben’s goddamn death...

But it’s still a story about your relatives visiting.” -Grant Morrison

ua-cam.com/video/KoK8tXzSIl8/v-deo.html
I made a video in response to this comment, a sort of why the current rendition doesn't work from my perspective. My points aren't phenomenal, but the gist is there.
zack snyder was in the process of doing so, but we all know how that turned out
Such a good scene, even better when you realize that being on the bridge is metaphorical for change, passing towards something else, crossing over your own flaws, selfishness and twisted vendettas instead of drowning yourself into them. Peter Parker becomes Spider-man when the way to Manhattan is open for him. His greatest challenge yet as a hero is on his way to Spider-man's home (Manhattan). Clearing such a challenge allows him passage to where he can be his hero self.
The way you analyzed this made me look at TASM at a great more deep way then I ever have before. I never really hated this movie.
You honestly made me cry, my dude. This is a great video. And this is why I saw this mediocre movie twice in theatres, because through all the shit there was still a real, emotional story about the fictional character who means the most to me. Thanks.

That pic
Ya don't say
That's why I don't really dislike this movie that much, its biggest sin would be its blandness in comparison to the funkyness of the previous films, but I thought the movie was making itself clear of this character arc once he finishes saving the people on the bridge and taking a look at his mask, thinking what Cap Stacy said and the direction he wants for his powers.

I really like how you set up these videos man, you actually ended editing video footage with EDM and gwen snapping her neck...but it's NBD really lol
_"it's feel better right? Look, you uncle died... im sorry ok... im sorry"_

Holy shit perfect.
Spiderman homecoming is trash
Did you increase the colour saturation of the amazing Spider-Man? I swear I didn't see the colours pop so much.
Matthew Vincent that's why he said Snyder
laz kar I think it works for those films tho. I wouldn’t take Man of Steel or BvS seriously if the saturation was way too high. This is why I really dislike age of Ultron because the saturation is just awful.
No, I don't believe he did. From what I remember, the colors always did pop as much as they do here.
laz kar Well I actually liked the colors in MOS and BvS. MOS has way more color than BvS it’s not all dark. BvS also has some color with the knightmare scene. I just like that aesthetic with the dark colors I know that’s just me though. I didn’t think any CGI was bad for BvS either.
laz kar Well TASM was supposed to be real and emotional because that’s how Marc Webb envisioned it and I loved that aspect of those movies.
I love that bridge scene, I've always said thats the point he becomes Spider-Man too. It literally gives me chills when he gives the kid the mask.
Andrew Garfield is still my favorite Spider-Man. Hands down.
Agreed. Hes just the best, I dont know why. I wish I did, it's just a feeling.

I really love The Amazing Spider-Man. I know people dislike it, but I love the first one. Andrew Garfield is incredibly underrated as Spider-Man, and he got done dirty by Sony. I feel like his Spider-Man would actually work better in that Universe.
I feel bad for Mark Webb. I really liked his vision, and the darker, more grounded take on Spider-Man and the “Vigilante” aspect of the character, right down to the suit. I love the TASM suit.
