@@JustWriteMusic Actually, I m using all 5 of them. Would also consider important the presentation on "Transformations". The tutorials I found was quite brief, focus on the simple mechanics of transformation. Your explanation is more detailed, you care about to the student.
Oh snap that’s awesome! And thanks so much for the kind words. I thought it was important to teach practical application; It’s how I get my guitar students to care about music theory 😆 What kind of music do you write?
Hello! I was just begining to write some dynamics on my piece... this was really helpful!! Also, I think you slipped more than 5 shortcuts in there, loved them! Thought I knew the majority, I managed to write a little cheat-sheet for myself :) Great work with this video! You really manage to carry on without your face in frame hahaha, amazing. Keep up the good work!! Btw, I really like this motif for the piano... did you continue writing it? Cheers!
Thanks so much!! Haha oooops. Soo glad to hear it helped. I actually didn’t, no; this was written on the fly just for this video. I do like to it upon listening back again, maybe I’ll use it in a solo piano piece or something 😄
@@JustWriteMusic in that class, I'd love hearing it!! 😃😃 Also, another of my favourites shortcuts is "w" to open the individual instrument score inside an ensemble 💕 it's wonders when it comes to analysing just how much movement that instrument individually makes.
Hey Avi! I'm not a Silibelius user, but still found this very interesting. I usually dabble with Guitar Pro which, despite its name, also caters for drums and orchestral instruments. Same concepts, different shortcuts (probably?). Mostly I just wanted to say "Silibelius", which I've done twice now... I did miss your handsome fizzog, but sans fizzog is quite a good look for you. Don't get me wrong, I prefer to see you, but your voice seems to be capable of carry the gig on its own; your voice ... has qualities that are not immediately apparent while your face is running the show. Who knew? People that have been watching with their eyes closed, probably, but apart from them, who knew? I was so excited to see Rivindell that I suspect I'm half hobbit (a quarterling?). So, keep up the good work! :-)
Hey Andrew! Thanks so much for commenting, as always :) Very cool! Software makes so much possible these days; it’s easier than ever to get a legit piece of music out. Haha thanks! I definitely felt a little more relaxed and willing to be more animated without the camera and a light staring at me. More personality showing through perhaps... for better out worse haha 😂 Thanks again Andrew, Cheers!
Also, if you're working in a piece with various instruments is really helpful analyzing the individual movements of certain instrument. In this case, use *w* to open a new tab with the instrument you had selected... One single note it's enough!!
Wonderful! A simple and clear explanation of basic IMPORTANT shortcuts.
My pleasure! Happy to help :)
Which shortcut do you think will help you most?
