I am in my pyjamas most of the time so I feel right at home watching the video’s. thank you so much for the advice, it covers so much of the things I have been having issues with. Brilliant and clear instructions and the giggles they video gave me too with the way you describe things are very welcome. This channel is a wonderful little gem for UA-cam.
First video seen, new subbie. Thank you for pointing out that FMQ is only part of the beauty of a quilt, and piecing, design, etc are what the viewer sees first!
i think that I now have the courage to try the free motion quilting. I have been putting it off but you explain sooooo well that there now seems to be some method in this "madness". Thank you very much.
Your quilt looks beautiful! I have been watching so many videos on FMQ and I learned so much from your video, I think you successfully pushed me off the fence and I am finally gonna try my hand at free motion quilting. Thanks for a terrific video, hope to see more😊
Thank you for your video. I found it really helpful, especially explaining the actual mechanics of what you need to do, the problems with drag etc. I practised FMQ for the first time yesterday, on a larger piece, a full fat quarter I think. I was amazed to find I could do it easily. However, I now need things like your video to achieve what I want to do. To say my drawing by sewing machine looks a bit amateurish would be an understatement! There's quite a difference between 'can do' and 'can do to a reasonable standard', but I'm getting there :)
I use the cheap 1.00 garden gloves from the $store that have the little rubber dots on the fingers and I have had them for two years. They work great for me. Whatever works right!! Lol. Thanks for the video, I learn something new every day. You can definitely teach an old dog new tricks..I'm proof. 😊
You're a legend. I love this video. Although I reckon I'm probably an 'intermediate' FMQ'er nowadays, I picked up on some of your tips that are new to me. Oh and I love your everyday type person, laid back approach!
Thanks for this video. It's nice to see quilting on a standard domestic machine. So many FMQ videos use high end machines or long arms with stitch regulators. You have given me the confidence to try FMQ on my vintage machine. DR
This gentleman is doing this for free. It is difficult for someone who is not a professional presenter to to get rid of all their mannerisms and talk and think at the same time. Most of us have a repeated phrase that we say when we are trying to gather our thoughts.

I am new at FMQ and this was very helpful to me. Thank you. I need more patience, and I need to make a fort!!
Birdie!
What do you suggest for an all over pattern please
Very interesting however we could use a lot less “you know”s.
