Excellent demos of all aspects of FMQ & machine settings!!
I have a Husqvarna Viking Rose Embroidery machine that I bought in the mid to late 90s & I love it for everything!! I haven't embroidered with it in quite some time but it is a work horse for any sewing job, including making cushion covers, upholstery work or clothing & repairs!
It has also been a long time since I did any amount of quilting, as I am not really "a quilter" but recently became interesting in making some small projects again & hope to go bigger with time. I tend to try to make things go faster but will take my time as I start over. FMQ is fun as I have done it before & look forward to getting started again soon.
We are emptying my sewing room that was "taken over by aliens", to reorganize it & clear my cutting table & set up my machine back down into the desk I remodeled for it.
The information I learned from you video will be very helpful & I thank you!

A lot of great info in here! My only beef is the constant assertions / assumptions that ‘ladies’ are the target demo. That could very well be your primary viewership, but there are plenty of us fellas that enjoy quilting, too.

Yep, I was taken aback by the "ladies ask me" as well, but maybe all the experience she has had with these questions have been from women? So... fellas, dont be afraid to ask for directions, haha!

I learned so much from this video! I am so glad I stumbled upon it yesterday! I have watched it repeatedly, taking notes along the way. So, informative, for example: the different types of thread spools and how they are wound determines how you thread your machine. There is so much more I could go on and on! Thank you, sweet child!

What a wonderful presentation! Your knowledge and experience obviously allow you to provide us with a down-to-earth delivery, with great volume, and a very pleasant voice which makes it easy to stay with you for the duration. I have started watching several instructional quilting videos and have soon become discouraged by the poor voice recording, annoying music, or blurred images. I have subscribed to your channel and will be watching more of your instruction. A great job!

Thank you for the wonderful, "good sense", instruction, tips, and --for me--the pep talk. I'd given up ever being able to FMQ except for fun on throw away things. You've given me a little hope and a more helpful plan for the plain old logistics that's been lacking to this point. Maybe, after all, this Grammy will be able to leave some pretty things for my family that come not only from the heart but hopefully through better trained hands and fingers. Bless you!😊

Best free motion video I watched. You gave import information on thread regarding the direction the thread is spun onto the spool and simply fabulous ideas for holding up fabric.
I use a bungie to keep my electrical cord at the back of my longarm from dragging as it shuttles from left to right (I do not have one of the fancy longarms like APQS that have internal sources of power) but I never thought of managing the weight if the quilt that way.
PS I enjoy the timber of your voice!

I just wanted to say that watching your video was very interesting. Been sewing for a very long time and quilting for a few years. I thought all of the things in your video was helpful and some I did not know about quilting. I will be watching some more of your video. I enjoy that you are very young and so good alright at your craft. I started sewing with my mom at the age of 5 years old. but quilting only for about 6 years. However I am a firm believer that even someone who is been sewing for year or anything for years and is older can always learn something new each day. Even for young lady's than themselves. So keep up the good work and I will continue watching you helpful tips and video. God Bless you and your family.

Fantastic instruction. I've struggled with free motion quilting on my Viking Sapphire 870 for many years and your video has showed me a number of places where I went wrong. Can't wait to do some practice stitching!

You are so thorough and knowledgeable. I have never done free motion before. I recently got a singer patchwork machine . . . The directions are awful. . . I really appreciate your sharing of knowledge. Looking forward to more . . . . I will practice daily now that you have given me motivation and a small bit of confidence! Thank you!
