- We took a stroll down a beautiful beach in Melbourne Florida which is considered part of Florida's space coast. I take time to film the water in this video because you'll be able to see how many small bait fish are popping out and making the surface dance. You'll also see what I believe are dogfish sharks eating up the baitfish just feet from the shore. If it's another type of shark, please leave a comment below. Thanks for the memories. I used to walk with my friend Rachel from Canova Beach down to the Holiday Inn. We'd stop at the Hilton Tiki bar have a drink swim in the pool then walk back.

It was incredibly still for the east coast Atlantic side. This is usually what the west coast gulf side looks like. It really was a beautiful day!

Have to say although I am a big animal lover, never seen all those dogs on the Beach. As well as fishing along the shore, & not the pier! Would you happen to know if it's common in Florida?
The dogs not so much. They are supposed to be on leashes and in designated areas. New Smyrna beach has a great dog park. And the on shore fishing is very popular in FL. Usually during certain seasons though.
@@SolSearcher I thought so! I am retired LE in NYC & had a horrific shooting because the owner of a Mastiff Bull let him roam loose. Long story short, had to save four victims one of which was a 14 year old girl. New to me about the fishing along the shore :). Looking at the Melbourne area to perhaps relocate too.

Not as touristy as Daytona but close enough to all the attractions. As your name suggests, mene mene tekel and parsin, weigh it in the balance and you'll make a good decision. Lol

That's not a dog beach. Why do people think they can have their dogs off leash at the beach!
Yeah I had to restart my walk cause i got chased by a dog off a leash! I didn't think y'all wanted to hear me shriek. Lol
As long as they are not annoying anyone and the owner cleans up after them I say let them be
