I'm a programmer, and the fact that the lap counter seems to max out at 127 is pretty weird to me because it means they've used a signed integer for the lap limit. This is weird because the range for the signed integer is -127 to +127, but half of those values make no sense in this context as a countable object limit. If they had used an unsigned integer with the same number of bits (binary digits in source code) they could have had a usable lap counter with a range from 0 to 255 giving double the number of potential laps. I wonder if Gasmoxian would be able to come up with such a patch? Great race by the way!
