I just finished this blanket for a Christmas gift for my nephew. I love this pattern & stitch. It is so easy to do, I can work it while watching TV without a bunch if counting. So easy! Thanks for doing it!
I have just finished this blanket pattern and it is one of the easiest projects I have done in a long time. I love it so much, thank you for doing it in a tutorial.
I just finished the 7 dc BLO then single Afghan. It’s pretty but never again. This pattern won’t drive me crazy. I crochet to relax. I could listen to this instructor all day long. Everything she does is so precious
Really love this. I enjoy doing granny squares and blankets, so this is like doing a classier granny blanket. I like the smaller clusters rather than the larger ones in other shell blankets.
Hi Amanda , I just finished making this blanket. I followed your pattern, but I used Ice Yarns in the color Picasso rainbow. The shell pattern really made the vibrant colors in the yarn standout. I think I am advanced beginner and I loved making this blanket. Thank you so much! With much appreciation, Liz B
Great stitch pattern! The subtle shell texture isn’t too frilly and I can see it in lots of colours. I’ve got a box of natural undyed wool yarns, from lightest lamb to baa baa black sheep, and won’t this make up well as a warm winter throw! Thank you for the inspiration!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. You make things very easy to understand! And the kitty purring so sweetly made me smile the whole way through! I'm on my second blanket this week. Such a good stash buster! ❤️😺
Another beauty! For the time being I've run out of pregnant friends and relatives! Lol. For about last 2 years I've had plenty of recipients for these lovely blankets!
Thank you for the tutorials. I need to follow just you so I don’t mess up. Had a problem with my first blankets growing but you straightened me out, LOL. I appreciate you!
Thank you so much for this beautiful tutorial! Absolutely love the blanket and your color choices! I just finished a blanket for my daughter's godson and it's a much larger blanket that kind of grows with him ( from the time hes born until hes probably 3 or 4), but wanted to do an actual real baby blanket and this is perfect! I love the border, the simplicity, but the class! Absolutely stunning! Thank you!
So beautiful! On my 9th row turning out so nice! I used same colors but using impeccable yarn. I can’t use Caron always have trouble with it thank you for the very good tutorial!
Thank you so much for this tutorial it was so easy to follow I'm using my husbands e-mail my name is Deborah iv followed some patterns but your voice is so soft and its the best pattern iv followed thank you
This is so pretty!!! I wanted to do this in the Bernat baby blanket yarn that is more chunky. Is that possible, and if so, would I be chaining less when I start? I have no idea how that all works, so any help would be greatly appreciated. 😊
Thank you! Yes, you can use whichever yarn you'd like. If using a chunkier yarn, you will chain less and if using a thinner yarn, you will chain more. As long as you chain in the multiples I mention at the beginning of the pattern, you can make this blanket as big or as small as you'd like :)
This is a beautiful relaxing pattern. Amanda, could you please do a tutorial on the Suzette Stitch Ripple. I saw it in the Blended Love Blanket Tutorial. It looks beautiful on both sides and adds a texture to a ripple. Love your tutorials 💖
Thank you! I do have a Suzette Baby Blanket video if interested: ua-cam.com/video/QUo98BGdE_c/v-deo.html. I know it's not the ripple version, but still very pretty!

If you're having trouble finding the last stitch of the row, you can always put a stitch marker in the last stitch. I've also seen people work into the space between the last stitch and the turning chain as well. Whatever is easier for you!
A light bulb just went off thank you on when you do single crochet and when how stitches off set each other shell with your help start me on first time I am going to say thank you
I'm making one with 126 chains, and In my humble beginner's opinion, it's wayyy to wide for a newborn. The result is, it's taking forever, I ran out of yarn, going to the store to buy more tomorrow, and I feel the blanket will be too heavy for a baby. I feel that 100 chains + 2, would be plenty wide. The pattern is beautiful, though. Thanks again Amanda!
Hi Amanda - for this pattern, do the number of waves per row alternate 31 - 30 - 31 etc? Also, I have a blanket my grandmother crocheted for me years ago. I don’t recognize the pattern. Is there any way I can take a picture of it and send it to you to see if you can figure it out? You are still my favorite crochet teacher! Thank you.

I JUST LOVE THIS!!! Question, I have some really pretty DK weight yarn...would that work for this and how would I increase the starting chains? THANK YOU in advance!! 💐
Thank you! Yes you can change up the yarn and use what you like. For the starting chain you’ll multiply any number by 4 for the width. Once satisfied, you will add 2 more chains at the end to keep things in balance. Happy crocheting 🧶

@@AmandaCrochets thanks for the reply. No worries, it’s all good and it seems to be working out.
