I get it if the users are more amateur or beyond in terms of knowing how to manually use its camera on its smartphone but for many users...its often time just auto setting, point and click. In this department, for whatever reason Sony chose not to optimized and poor support with 2 to 3 iteration of phone per year is garbage and makes people regret purchasing its smartphone. Had Sony optimized or even bring over their camera software say like the one used in their line of Sony 100iii-vii. It would've been a hit and even I would've purchased one. Support and overall usability is important for my end and so the Pixel line has always been my choice of phone. I used to be a note series starting with the original from Samsung but stop at some point because it was all hardware advancement but little effort was done in the software optimization and frankly at this point. Its a little to late to redeem themselves. I do however like the photos coming from the Galaxy Ultra series especially when the conditions are right. The photos are phenomenal even compared to the Pixel. However I really enjoy taking creative photos at night and using the night skies often as my back ground...the Pixel is my choice.
The Sony for me. I like their build quality and I also like the fact that they are not so wide, which makes holding it easier. Headphone jack and SD slot are other positives. I currently have an Iphone 13 Mini, which I really like, but I have owned Sony in the past and really like their products.
I am owner of Sony Xperia 1 IV. It's a good phone, but I think 1 V is better at least in only reason - 8 gen 2. My phone sometimes heats, but I used to use it without problems. Sony is the best because it is classicaly handsome, 3.5mm, SD slot, 4K HDR 120 display and truly optical zoom.

I thought samsung was better than sony, but actually it’s not. Apple had very big battery life in another video, but apple doesn’t use the same type of apps, and has different battery consumption. I was kinda surprised on the screen density of the xperia. The xperia is actually an upgrade of the samsung, and to top it off, sony has every damn feuture you can wish for. Samsung = 200mp camera+ s-pen but, Sony = higher pixel density, made for gaming, sd card slot, earphone jack. That’s a lot more. And xperia mark 5 is actually way better in any aspect to the xperia pro. So xperia is a dead clear winner, îll pick it.
I had a 14 pro Max, brought the phone to Apple store as online Apple care suggested, online Apple care and the Apple store tech said there's nothing wrong with the phone after doing software and hardware diagnostics, but neither one was able to get WIFI calling to work; Apple was a big fail, got rid of phone
Id choose Sony *professional quality* - waterproof - hi-res audio (by itself you don't need speakers) would fill a room - battery life and duration (battery cycles alone outlasts phone performance) also best on market for stamina (software improves everything) - camera, *stereo jack, expandable memory* _____ But Samsung has more protective case options (Sony only has their case and maybe Spigen/Caseology) _____ Battery wise my XZ2 compact still lasts all day. But phone freezing due to outdated and low memory. Camera is main purpose for keeping. (My Xperia 5m2 & 5m4 are like new) all 3 used daily
