Fit Couple Cooks I'm going to order the book! my wife and I are new subscribers! Quick question - when eating a high fat meal don't you want to eliminate the carbs? Either way what is the science behind your recommendation on eating one high fat meal a day? Looking forward to you feedback! We love the videos, our now.#1 channel.

Weight of ingredients in grams would be preferred in these videos, we don’t buy butter in stick form in Australia or many parts of the world most likely. Remember, you have a worldwide audience.

As a doctor and nutritionist...there is nothing wrong with this recipe. Carry on people. For those saying "THAT MUCH BUTTER" and "ALL THAT COCONUT OIL"..you clearly don't understand how MCTs are metabolized by the body. You also don't understand that "fat" doesn't make you "fat". Fit this into your diet with everything else and let your body run like its supposed to. Love your channel guys. Keep it up. I send my patients over to watch your videos all the time.

Honestly, I am one of the people that doesn't understand.. But I would be very interested in learning about MCTs and that kind of stuff.. I have stopped cooking with butter, because I was told it would counter what I am trying to do.. After a car wreck last year, I gained a big amounts of weight, and I am currently trying to drop weight.. I love the Chicken Fajita meal prep you guys did, and that is one of the most common meals I make.. Would this recipe be good for someone in my situation? Thanks.

ESSENTIALLY, gaining or losing weight depends on how much calorie u eat. ur body uses up calories as energy and if u eat more calories than needed, u gain weight bcuz it is stored in ur body as fat. (carbs are ur primary source of energy)
Calories are made of macro nutrients aka fat, protein and carbs.
      1g of protein = 4 calories
      1g of carbs = 4 calories
      1g of fat = 9 calories
fat by itself does not make u "fat", it only makes it easier for u to overeat calories bcuz each gram is worth more calories than protein or carbs.
thats all there is to it.

Tikka masala & buttered chicken are not the same..Tikka is marinated with yogurt, ginger and garlic . Also made with tomato sauce an heavy whipping cream. Your making a great buttered chicken recipe. An you did it perfect.

I found a butter chicken recipe online that was cooked and prepared like you described. I wondered if it wasn't tikka but in the end I didn't care, it was amazing.

The machine leaves dust on rice from hulling and such.. but think about it Asians have been washing it forever, and in the modern age lazy greedy companies are not going to wash the excess dirt, insects, mouse droppings, bird poopy from harvest, to transport, to storage.. ugh.

Love the video. A couple of suggestions that you may or may not like.
    1. Wash the rice until water runs through clear
    2. Add a teaspoon of cumin seeds and tomatoes to the oil and fry briefly before adding the rice. It gives it a bit of flavour
    3. Fry the onions until they are golden brown. This helps with the flavour of the curry.
    4. I don't add as much butter but substitute full fat yogurt instead. Of course, mix it in from cold then heat to avoid splitting

Quick tip from your Brazilian friend....you don't have to stir the rice...it gets too sticky. Try this way - fry some garlic in olive oil, rinse the rice, add to the olive oil, fry it for a minute, add water and then cook on high till it's done. Easy!

I normally don't comment on anything on the internet, but I just wanted to say that I'm glad I found your channel. I've always been able to cook but of course I avoid it like the plague because I'm lazy. Haha anyway, now that I've decided to start meal prepping to avoid my usual excuses for why I eat like crap... I completely appreciate your channel!! I learn SO much and I hope you guys continue to make more videos, meal prep really doesn't have to be boring and you guys prove it so thank you. ALSO major props for being knowledgeable/real, I know a lot of people are probably going to criticize for the butter but thank you for including this dish, it fits in my macros so I have no complaints 😂🙂 I look forward to trying this VERY soon.

Wow! Your comment means so much to us, thank you! and YES - it really should fit most peoples macros. We are trying to help people realize that fat is NOT the enemy :) And believe us ... MANY more videos are on the way!! Thanks again :)

    • @xtinej19
      @xtinej19 8 років тому +1

+Fit Couple Cooks Wow thanks for replying to my comment :) I completely agree! Fat is not the enemy. I think people are just scared because they lack the knowledge. There's so much more that gets lumped into the 'fat' category and in my opinion you guys gained credibility with me by creating this dish as part of your meal prep series because it shows you know your stuff! Don't get me wrong if a certain individual is preparing for a show/fitness competition this dish probably isn't going to be their first choice but omitting meals like this would be a TEMPORARY thing. It's probably why most people can't/don't stick to 'eating healthy' because they feel they have to cut out all fat which by the way is unrealistic. You guys are not only showing awesome ways to meal prep, you're teaching us to not be afraid of food! Keep in mind everyone, they've created SEVEN meals out of this not ONE.

How is this helping people lose weight in anyway, i am currently 65kg and my total daily fat content on a IIFYM bulking diet is 55g of fat so i could have one of your meals and then what two bowls of air? i can see by your other videos that you do make healthier and less calorie dense foods, but if i was starting out my cutting diet and stumbled upon this with no prior knowledge on how dieting works this could lead to a disaster

    • @Easymealpreprecipes
