- I did a video to show you how to fix clutch engagement height!!
It's so much better after doing this!!
this fix is easy enough but it's hard to do because there is no accessibility, no place...
14mm combo wrench
12mm combo wrench
10mm combo wrench
Flush cutter
10mm ratchet/socket (preferably 1/4" drive, more compact)
Phillips screwdriver
Flat big screwdriver
Flat small screwdriver
Flashlight
This is the link i wached to do this!! thanks!!

sorry for my bad english ;P
Thank you for this. I bought a stage 3 kit from clutch max and my clutch sits so high from the floor.
2016 Scion IA:
Im trying to adjust my friend's clutch. he wants it to engage closer to the floor vs up high. Which one of these adjustments would i need to adjust?
both… the one under the petal is to reduce the engagement course, and the one above the pedal is to bring the pedal closer to the floor, you can only adjust the one under the pedal but you will have a big weird free play… it’s so much better to ajust both!!
Okay I got it---
I'm built like a bear so I ended up having to take my front seat out to work on it.
best advice I can tell anyone who's planning on doing this is : your going to have to feel around for both adjustments
also while you can lower the bite point it still is still a very thin bite point.
I wanted to do this since I bought the car, I had it apart today.
1. I don't know where that zip tie that you cut is or if it exists on my car?( the fuse panel refused to move very much even after I manhandled it.
2.I don't know how your acsessing your stuff if your contorting yourself and coming in through the footwell ( doing a bridge essentially)
I ultimately gave up with it because i'm not usually really good with this kinda stuff but I hate the high clutch so god damn much that it was worth a crack.
maybe there is a no ziptie, the fuse box is VERY well attached!! pull with a pry bar! you have to lie on your back on the car floor to access it, put your head were the petal are and look up! the job it’s esay but we have no space to work! i’m small and i had difficult..
I'll give it another shot so your saying I have to really yank on that fuse box? i just don't want to break anything
I've seen on a forum a guy got a better position by laying a dog food bag or salt back down to make them more level with the car so your not in a German suplex position.
- I hate the high clutch alot if i can get a better feel so i can pull the car up n just go without dumping it like i've never driven stick before i'll do it; believe me i've driven stick for 18 years and this car makes me feel like a newb.
Hola en mí Toyota Corolla 2015 le está costando colocar la primera y segunda marcha. ¿Con este ajuste mejoro el problema? ¿O debo reemplazar el embrague?. Gracias
no creo que esto ayude…
2018 corolla 1.8L MT and it stopped shifting into gear while on the freeway. No previous issues, can this be the cause?
you will not solve your trouble with this adjustment, if you grind gears it's maybe a oil leak in the hydraulic clutch. maybe your clutch slave cylinder or clutch master cylinder. if your clutch going well, i don't realy know..
@@rockrobert6619 thanks ...it's not the grinding so maybe leak
Is it necessary to do both adjustments?
no, your clutch will grip faster with the adjustment of the rod, the adjustment of the stopper will make you have less travel of the pedal! but if you only ajuste the rod, the feeling of the pedal clutch is really weird
@@rockrobert6619 got it 👍 thanks man
are you able to get the clutch even with the brake pedal?
Question would this adjustment make the pedal softer?
no.. you will have less travel to unengage the clutch, and the grip will be faster and lower when you release the pedal
Have you replaced the clutch ?
no, only readjusted it!
Toyota calls this one a height adjustment. The free play one is also to be adjusted after making this adjustment. However Going too far out of spec will probably do damage to the CMC or the fingers of the diaphragm spring 🧑🏻🦯
if you analyze the video well, I screw the rod, so I push the diafragme less far. I shorten the stroke of the pedal, I do not lengthen it. So that's the exact opposite of what you're saying. the only danger of this adjustment is to screw the rod too much and the clutch does not disengage totally. so the gear will grind. and if the gears grind , we will realize it quickly. if the free play si too big, it will do the same thing. and if si really too tight, the clutch will slip or the bearing clutch will always be solicited so the bearing will broken prematurely
