  • Back in September, Eric at MOMSouth was kind enough to give my camera the rundown of my new Indian Chieftain Limited. He goes over the tires, handlebar controls, Ride Command system, rear air shock and the 500 mile service (which I've already had done by the time this video is being released.) I love this bike!

    Hi Nightcruiser I picked up my 2019 indian chieftain darkhorse. This was my 60th birthday and in the first thirty days I have rode 2800 miles. I've rode since I was four years old, from riding motocross and trials to yamaha xs1100 and a few harleys. I honestly believe that my chieftain is the best bike I've ever owned. Thanx for the video.

      Hi Mark. That's fantastic! Congratulations in on your Chieftain Dark Horse, and Happy Birthday! You have several times the riding experience I do, but I also agree that the Chieftain is the best bike I have ever owned. Thanks so much for watching and for the comment. Ride safe and enjoy!

    Merry Christmas young fella! Hope all is well and looking forward to your next video when you're ready. I'm thinking seriously about the 2020 Indian RM Burgundy with Tan seats, the 116 and all else in terms of stock upgrades. Any input, including if you test ride one, would be helpful if suits your plans. Wishing you a Happy New Year...have fun, enjoy and be safe. Cheers!

    This is an absolutely stunning bike, but I also like to take the bags and windshield off and just go all boulevard, so it's going to be the Indian Springfield for me, hopefully very soon. Actually, I think I'm going to need one of each Indian model just to be safe.

    Thanks for posting. Great machine. Wow - tools and gauges! I did not even get an adjustable wrench with my HD. Very nice touch from Indian. Is the truck standard?

    • @NightcruiserMA
      @NightcruiserMA  4 роки тому

      e b The trunk would be standard with the Roadmaster (as well as hard lowers) it is an add-on with the Chieftain line.

  • @JohnnyRebKy
    @JohnnyRebKy 4 роки тому +2

    Why not the road master since you added a trunk already? Just curious. Often it's cheaper to strip down a fully equipped bike then add it all to another. Of course the limited has a cooler look lol. I ask because I can't decide myself. Roadmaster looks good stripped down like a cheiftain and can put it back on for a long trip. I know that's what I'm gonna do if I buy the Harley. Strip a ultra down like a street glide instead of trying to make a SG tour when I need it

    • @NightcruiserMA

      JohnnyRebKy just liked this color of the Limited better, and the more modern styling.

    Hello, I hope everything is well. I have a couple questions for you. I am looking to replace my 02 Ultra Classic next year. I am looking at several bikes. The Indian Challenger and Roadmaster are a couple. Why did you choose the Chieftan Limited over the Roadmaster? How happy are you with the Rush Exhaust and the stage 2 cam?

    • @NightcruiserMA
      @NightcruiserMA  4 роки тому +2

      Hi James. Great questions. I went with the Chieftain Limited over the Roadmaster because of the styling and the color. At the time, the Roadmaster only came in the more retro styling, and I preferred the newer/sleeker look that looks like a Victory with a little Street Glide influence. Now of course there is the Roadmaster Dark Horse, which has the more modern styling, but a more matte red that I’m not certain how I feel about.
      On this bike, I don’t have the Rush Exhaust. My friend Sally has it on her Chieftain. I have the TAB slip-ons with Zombie baffles, and stock headers. It’s loud. Really loud. But I think I would like to switch to the full Rush exhaust like Sally has. It’s maybe 85% as loud, but it just has a much better tone in my opinion.
      Also, you can check out my review on the Challenger from December 25th 😊
      Thanks!

    Do you wish you waited for the Challenger? Also, isn't the trunk crazy expensive from Indian? I'm hearing upwards of $3500 for one. Is that correct?

    • @NightcruiserMA
      @NightcruiserMA  4 роки тому

      Jay C Nope. I wanted this color. I didn't know the Challenger Limited would come in this color, of course, but even if I did, it's such a different bike that I would probably want to wait a bit on it. It's going to be a very different experience than the 111.

    About the same time, I picked up my 2020 Road King Special, Vivid Black. I love my new bike. After being on HD touring bikes since 2000 it's refreshing to have NO TECH! None! Done with all that crap. Just want to get on the road and ride without synching, logging in, clicking, dragging, farting around, effing with a bunch of distracting electronic crap that will be obsolete in five years. Nice bike though.

    • @NightcruiserMA
      @NightcruiserMA  4 роки тому +1

      Very true. I love the Road King. My first three bikes had no fairings, and by the third one, I was attaching a Garmin GPS to the handlebars. When I got my first Chieftain, I realized I wanted a fairing because it's just nice to have things all together and to have a radio, BUT, that being said, I do miss having bikes without a fairing. I can turn all the electronics off, but I do enjoy the open road with just a windshield in front of me.

  • @Gretchen1205

    Why didn’t you get a Roadmaster? I love that color.

    • @NightcruiserMA
      @NightcruiserMA  4 роки тому

      Seabass 82 For that very reason! I love the color, and it wasn't available on a Roadmaster. So, I made my own but without lowers. Like a half Roadmaster. A RoMast.

    Excuse me. That was no horn. Sounded like a clown nose. If a horn is not at least 120db it’s basically useless in traffic. Time for a Denali Sound Bomb. Other than that a beautiful bike. Congrats.
