Hi DR.....nw am 5 month carrying....in early stage one time my FBS by lab test was5.2 then DR told me to monitorise blood sugar by glucometer and follow diet....after that it was normal range ...ie FBS is below 95...and after 2 hours it is between 95

I am a gestational diabetic patient. Now I am 35 weeks pregnant. Doctor told to check glucose fasting and after food 1 hr.
How much will be the blood glucose level after 1hr and 2 hr?

As u r close to delivery, there's nothing much to worry with regard to ur blood sugars. However, it's good if u can keep FBS below 92 and 1 hr PPBS below 180 mg %.

I am watching all your videos now. Thanks doctor. One quick question. My wife is 33 week pregnant. He had fasting sugar 103 which is above par. But we are not sure about the Ppbs 2 hour after meal. Could you please let us know the normal range for ppbs 2 hour after meal. Thanks
Please do OGTT to find out her glucose tolerance.
Thanks doctor. OGTT was done at 24 weeks and as per doctor the level was normal. Now as part of screening test we are checking the levels through glucometer. But we are not sure about the normal level for PPBS 2 after meal. Could you please highlight the normal range for PPBS.
Strictly speaking, PPBS doesn't have any important place in the evaluation of GDM. Hence, if you have already done OGTT and it was ok, there's nothing to worry. Thanks...
