    It is good your statement that you are not trying to imitate SRV note by note. Actually guitar for most people (unless the professional) should be a tool for entertaining and express our selves. It becomes a torture when we try to force ourselves and play like the Stars. I agree we have to do the best we can, but without destroying the fun to play guitar. Cheers from Indonesia Chief.

    Been subbed to you for a while now, and you haven't ever disappointed. Thanks for all your content - and I'm excited to see what that sonic blue strat is! I wonder if its a reissue or a 60-64 strat???? Though by the cracks in the screws in the pickguard, I assume its geniune 60s :D

      American Irishman run to the dollar store and get some crazy glue brother your in for a treat. Lol Welcome to the SRV rabbit hole aka woodshed ! The only reason I'm even reading comments right now and not 4 hours into a neighborhood tube amp torture session is that I broke my left hand couple weeks ago. Spread the word so Nik can keep pumping out gold! 🤣😆😉

      Good to know! Thing is really heavy but I don’t mind a bit tried all kinds of pedals that wasted my money but nothing sounds quite so wonderful as these Leslies at least to me. Finally getting a decent rig going and it has changed my life. Makes a huge difference too when someone with a cool channel like you shares and pass on the good hard earned stuff that might not ever get learned by others without the gift! Thanks dude and Merryxmas to all!

    Let's go woodshedders! Put ur amps on standby for a min and put the word out! Lol. Another great video Nik as always either helped confirm a theory I had and or totally brought something new to my attention I had not even thought of! Thank you sir! I know there are alot of exclamation points but I'm having major guitar withdrawl and it's making me nuts. Lol Hopefully next week or so I can start again. I promised my Dr If he took off cast I'd be a good boy and wait but my will power is dwindling!!!!

    Hi Nik, really loving your videos - lots of great information and lessons! Could you share some information on how you set up your reverb? I somehow have experienced that when cranking fender amps and especially when slightly boosted with a TS, the reverb somehow disappears when holding notes. Is it just the design of the amps or do you know any tricks to handle reverb when playing with cranked super reverbs?

    It's sounds really close. But I find in everyone who has the gear and the chops. The bass strings always sound boomy and farty and too bassy. Somehow when Stevie is playing those heavy bass strings just don't sound like that..

    • @theriffwniksevigny5473
      @theriffwniksevigny5473  4 роки тому +1

      It wasnt a tone demonstration
      But keep in mind, we are in a closed room , with low volume.
      Not on a stage, with multiple amps cranked up.
      No matter how many people try, there will never be another SRV!
