- I found a few things wrong with the van and decided to bring it to a mechanic and get those things fixed. Trying to make the 1989 Chevy G20 Van road worthy so I can take it on long trips and solo camping.

Wow! I guess you got lucky by doing that test drive on the interstate. It is always good to see how your older vehicle will react in those situations, especially before long trips.
I am glad I did that too. Now I have a few more things that need to be done.
Seems like you struck gold with a local mechanics shop! Thats not always easy to find these days. Id say that was a fair price for the job. Definitely get the rear ones done as well along with the tune up and check engine light just to be sure its nothing major-maybe just an air flow or oxygen sensor?? See you on the next one!!!
Yeah, I'm thinking it's an O2 sensor. I am scheduled to drop off the van again next week to get the rear wheel bearings done. Have a good weekend!
Do the tune up and flush the coolant.
It's back at the mechanic this week to get the rear wheel bearings done. They are also giving it a tune up. Good idea about flushing the coolant. I need to add that to my list. I appreciate the comment!
