I like to make these videos as a hobby. It is like a video journal for me. The majority of my videos are time lapses, which are my favorite videos to make. I also like to create videos about the wildlife on my property here in south Georgia. If you find any of these videos entertaining please drop a like and subscribe to see more! Thank you.
Pond Build. Part 3. Grass and Landscaping Still to Go.
Hello! It has been nearly a month since the land clearing people came to mess with the pond. It was finally dry enough to spread the dirt around. Now, all I need is to plant some grass and get the landscaping work done. I will set cameras up to capture some nature and wildlife.

Hello all. It has been a few weeks since the last update on the pond build. It has been slow due to all the rain we have been getting. I hope it dries up for a few weeks. We have had signs of nature already around the pond. #pondlife #nature #wildlife #rain #pondbuilding

I appreciate the comments and thanks for watching!
What weight oil are you running? 0w20?
I have been using 5w-30. My friend at work has a similar year vehicle and he runs his with 0w20. Thanks for watching!
@@hillbillyrickoutdoors5208 any particular reason why you run 5w30?
I would not have sold it. I would've gotten a used SUV for my family. You will never be able to get one of these new, ever again. SUVs are going nowhere and will continue to be produced. However, naturally aspirated mid size trucks are leaving the market. The Frontier is basically the last one standing.
It was a tough decision for sure. Thanks for watching!
I’m thinking of getting a ‘20 4 door Taco. I was apprehensive about getting the 4 cylinder but I wouldn’t haul more than 2 dirt bikes. The truck market is insane and I’d rather not buy an ecoboost or deal with Chevys lifter problems. So the higher cost for Toyota, you’re really paying for reliability and durability. Just tuff to drop decent money on a smaller truck.
Definitely a dependable and quality trucks. If you feel like you will want just a little more power than the 4 cylinder then I would definitely get the V6 Tacoma. The 4 cylinder will last a long time though! Thanks for watching.
Last of the good ones nice truck, my dad has a 2018 2 wheel drive just like this it only has 22,000 miles he said it’s the last truck he will buy.
100% agree! Thanks for watching!
Damn that thing is nice, dig older vans
I love driving it for sure. I try to drive it a couple times a week. Thanks for watching!
Great van camping in 😊❤
Thank you! I appreciate you watching!
Checking in on you brother-you alright? Heard your area got hit up pretty hard with this last one….🙏
Thanks bud for checking in. It was rough. The eye came over my house as a Cat 2 storm. So we had 100mph winds for about 30 min to an hour. Somehow, we only lost one tree and suffered no damage. I can't say the same for most though as there are trees and powerlines down everywhere. My power came back on Friday. I am one of the few. Thanks for checking in!
So glad to hear that-you were the first one I thought of when I heard it hit Ga. My heart is breaking for these poor people in the Carolina’s/Tennessee/Virginia and Kentucky. In my prayers but they need a lot more than just that right now.
@lookingback6314 yeah, it's looking bad up in the mountains areas. I don't remember a storm causing so much destruction over so many states.
Check out the Overland Torque Tune “OTT”. The load a modified file into you ECM. I have done it to mine it no longer hunts gears or odd shifting plagued by the Toyota factory setup. I wish I had done it sooner. My 2,7 now runs almost as if it were a V6. Also there is no longer any slow throttle response due to the fly by wire connection to the throttle. Just Google OTT tuners. They are Nation wide they will offer free upgrades as long as you own the truck. My Tacoma SR is a 2017 2.7 liter 4wd with 117000 miles on it. I had been using the Banks Pedal Moster it is also a great product, but the OTT is far superior and about a $100 more than the pedal monster. I wish I had done the OTT sooner. It is all still stock except for the OTT.
Thanks for sharing. There was some other people that commented on the OTT on some of my other videos and that they highly recommended the OTT as well. Thanks for watching!
@@hillbillyrickoutdoors5208 I also want to add that for your warranty all that is changed as far as the dealer is concerned 1 file has been replaced and the only way they would know is by noticing a newer date on the file.Don’t tell the dealer you have updated with the new file, also if the dealer overwrites your good file OTT will reload your file free. It’s a win win deal.
This a very good buy now about $300 amazon
@@jameshchetwyndjr9739 I still use it for graduations and family events. Thanks for watching!
Wow my buddy Guttlyy....had a Kool ass brown van , just like that ...ohh the van times lmao ...such good times .lol
I have had it for over a year. I drive it a couple times per week. I also camp out of it as well. It's been awesome so far. Thanks for watching!
this is my first truck and don’t get me wrong i love it but the 4 cyl does tend to piss me off a bit getting on the highway. it feels like its trying to fight against me when i’m climbing mph. but it’s something i just gotta get used to coming from always driving v6 cars. i’d rather have this problem and reliability than having a car break at 100,000 miles
Yeah, I learned that you need to hit the gas hard, high rpms, when getting on interstate and passing. I got used to it sounding like it and I actually liked the sound it made. Mine had an ECT button that helped keep the truck at high rim before shifting.
Democratic pedo van.
J adore ❤❤❤❤❤
Thats one big turkey
😂
That is awesome!
Now, THAT is a beautiful sight! Thank you!!!!
Yeah, it was just down the road from me too. I had to pull back around because I couldn't believe what I saw at first.
This was so sad.

looking forward to see that pond filled up. Found your channel while checking out pathfinder reviews.
Awesome! I think it may fill up by the end of this weekend. We are suppose to get a good bit of rain. Thanks for watching.
Wife and I just bought a 2023 SR after our 2002 Tacoma reached the end of its financially feasible life and we love it.
I love these trucks. Great quality and very dependable. Thanks for watching!
Still pretty cool..
I really haven't had a chance to use it for camping yet. It has been way too hot but the temps are coming down. Thanks for watching!
I am very impressed. Cx405 60x zoom
For the price, it does a lot more than I expected. Thanks for watching!
Yeah they're cool in your yard but when your on your way home at 11:30 pm and they're in the road......not so cool
I hear ya, that can be stressful. Thanks for watching!
Psh looks badass to me 🤙🤙😮💨😮💨😮💨🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I’d stay in that
@@J.Nevermore it's nice to stay in, especially when cooler. Thanks for watching!
i don’t believed in 10000 mile oil change 5000 mile i’ll change it i have a 2021 2.7 litter too ❤
I just installed a whole new ac for my '95 G20 so if you're interested in doing yours ill give ya all the help I could. Just let me know. ✌️
That's awesome, thanks for offering. I haven't been driving it as much as I would like to this summer due to how hot it has been here in south Georgia. Yeah, if I get to fixing it this fall I will definitely hit you up! Thanks again!
had to double the speed and still boring, thanks
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
I enjoy your videos.
I appreciate it. Thanks for watching!
I have a 2019. I wish I had factory wireless CarPlay.
My coworker has the same truck as you, a 2019. Not much has changed from then to the 2023. I guess things like wireless CarPlay has though. Thanks for watching!
It's just a shame you can't even get the bose on this trim. Seems the audio upgrade might be out of my league. I do like this trim though.
The audio sounds good to me but I agree, with this trim I would have expected something more.
wholy guacamole...its possible to kayak the place 😱😱😱!! whats the best time to kayak it my friend? 11am, 2pm, or 6pm??
I'm unsure when the best possible time would be. It would be fun though!
Is it waterproof?
As long as you have a good seal on your door it is basically a tent. You can have the screen open in a normal rainshower and stay dry. In a heavy rainshower you can still have it open near the top to let air go through and stay dry. Thanks for watching!
Too bad you couldn't have gone 4 door instead, good luck bro.
I hear people complaining about the v6 taco gas mileage. I just got a 2022 SR5, drove it to Texas. 27 mpg. I call that pretty damn good
That is awesome mpg for any truck. Thanks for sharing and watching!
@@hillbillyrickoutdoors5208 to be fair I had to really try to make that happen though
@@Turbinelife87 I try to play around with mine too just to see what sweet spot (or speed) to get the best mpg. Sometimes it makes it fun just for traveling purposes, lol.
@hillbillyrickoutdoors5208 yep, me too. Alot of people drive it like a dragstip truck expecting good mileage...not gonna happen. These truck can get good mileage unfortunately you have to drive them like a grandpa
Jesus loves you! God bless! Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. What if it just attracts a lot of mosquitoes?
It will probably do that too! We get a lot of wildlife back there before the pond like deer, racoon, foxes, etc. But I plan putting mosquito fish in the pond too. Thanks for watching!
@@hillbillyrickoutdoors5208 mosquito fish??? I’ve never heard of that before… I’m assuming they eat them?? How??
@@Lulu562_ they look like guppies. They eat the mosquito larvae on top of the water.
@@hillbillyrickoutdoors5208 ooooh ok!! Thank you for that I just learned something new. 😂
You’re gonna miss it.
I already do. Thanks for watching!
6:48 i to have a 3rd gen 2.7 4 door short bed and take it from florida to nc and driving through Atlanta i somehow was following the route on my phone, got cut off and suddenly i was entering blood mountain. that was fun.
You definitely got to keep your head on a swivel through Atlanta. I was going northbound and went through a detour once on I-75 and 20 min later found myself back on 1-75 going southbound. Thanks for watching!
Well at least you’re not buying ANY 2024 Toyota Tacoma!!😳
😂 thanks for watching!
Put in dirt
Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.
Great video! Family comes first, you used the truck to its potential and showed us what it is capable of! Love your roadtrip videos and great job on the reviews, many more to come with your family and the new vehicles!
Thanks, I appreciate your comment. I am looking forward to bringing more videos of future road trips. Thanks again for watching!
Hey, there’s always a ‘23 Tacoma 4 door crew cab. Should be enough room in the back with that configuration.
I did look for those too but at the time my local dealership only had their 2024 models in and I wasn't interested in the new ones yet.
I would’ve been more then happy to have the opportunity to purchase it..
I had a lot of offers!
Good luck! Just got a 1990 g20. Will be making a camper as well!😊
That's awesome! I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have enjoyed mine so far. Thanks for watching!
I bought a new 2003 Tacoma 4X4 with the 2.7 and it's the only vehicle I've driven since then. I'm still very happy with it and feel no need to get something new. I understand why you did though.
If I weren't for the room I needed I would have definitely kept it. I felt like I could of driven it as long as you have had yours. Thanks for watching!
Say it aint so bro , it sucks these were the last of the dependable tacomas for a while
Whenever I get a used one in the future I will be looking for a 2023 or older. I'm sure the newer ones will be great too but they may need years of tweaking before they are considered reliable.
I have a 2005 2.7L 4x4 5MT access cab with 237k on it. Drives like new and it's awesome. I couldn't get one of these with an automatic, because I tow a small trailer and get 20mpg towing.
That's great mpg, especially for towing. Having a manual transmission would of made my truck even better! Thanks for watching.
@@hillbillyrickoutdoors5208 Don't get me wrong, I'd rather have an automatic, so I could drink coffee and relax, but....in addition to being an anti-theft device, it helps immensely with towing and MPGs.
@OverlandOrange also, they seem fun to drive too. But I agree, it's harder to drink that coffee and eat that burger in the truck with a stick!
Remember when you bought this as well, enjoyed all the videos on it. I have the exact same truck except mine is a 22 Tacoma Sr access cab black 4x4 without the jump seats. Put on a ton of extras. Love the simplicity of the truck, at 10800 miles I don't have a bad thing to say about it. Simple truck for a simple man, six foot bed is the way to go on these. My truck is paid off keeping it for a long time. Simple truck for a simple man, something tells me you will miss it. Peace to yourself and your family...........
Thanks, I appreciate the comment! I already miss it. One day I plan on getting the same truck, 2023 or older.
