I live in Europe and the Eucerin oil control is the first SPF I bought when I decided to start using SPF daily and it's really amazing, it's the main reason why I felt so down with using daily sunscreen!

You know what sucks? We are so used to the bullshit marketing throws down our throats that becasue Altruist doesnt really care about the "look" it kind of makes me feel like maybe is not a safe/good one?? I don't know...

Garnier is a great sunscreen! I use it on my 3 year old and myself but i never thought of using it as a moisturizer so I'll try that! My normal moisturizer is already spf 30 but in the summer it would be nice to get beter coverage.

Garnier has a la roche posay dupe!!!! Spf for face, it is exactly the same texture, lightweight, amazing and it’s cruelty free!!!

Shaka Fluid is for all skin types. Not just the oily ones. My skin is not oily. Eyes are extremely sensitive. The only one my eyes tolerate. Absolutely the BEST one!

That La Roche Posay Anthelios Fluid SPF 50+ PPD46 is insanely good, great texture, suitable for sensitive skin, VERY HIGH UVA protection, Water resistant yet really light, new generation UV filters, smooth light elegant texture, no white cast, in my opinion it isn't drying even though it has alcohol probably because of the glycerin and emollients. Sensitive, Dry, Combination, Oily Skin will probably really like it.

I grew up using Garnier sunscreen and still do, the kids water resistant formulation keeps me protected for hours during surfing holidays in the tropics. I've recently started using Altruist for my face in the morning and I love that it feels like a moisturiser, it also stings my eyes though but I don't mind as much. Will look into EVY next!
Love love Garner Amber Solaire sensitive advanced spf 50+. and UVA 5*. Protects against UVB UVA Long UVA. I also use their invisible UV protection must that is sprayed over makeup and additionally has Infared protection. Both feel lovely on the skin - non greasy.
I love the EVY (and I’m glad people outside Sweden are talking about it) and I usually use it when I’m done with my skincare but before breakfast. Since it’s a little dry for me I then (like 20-30 min later) apply the LRP that’s really thick and nice. My theory is that if I use two layers of sunscreen I minimize the risk of applying too little or missing spots and since I wait the second one shouldn’t mess up the first one
This is for dry and really pale skin tho, it’s def not for someone that has anything but dry skin

Evy is a holy grail for me. I must have bought it over fifty times at this point. But omg, the eye sting is legendary! It’s SO bad. I don’t think I’ve experienced a sunscreen with worse eye sting. And possibly the same technology that gives Evy its characteristic staying power causes it to be ridiculously hard to wash out of your eyes. As a result I’ll commonly put it on exposed areas of my body, like my neck, where I’m less eager to reapply, but use a different sunscreen on my face.

Yes! I’m all about the Euro sunscreens. One you may like for dry skin is SVR Cicavit SPF 50+ Don’t know the value but filters suggest very high UVA protection and it’s very emollient … not quite as thick and emollient as P20, though it also contains all next gen filters. I also have the eye sensitivity issue and this one doesn’t irritate me at all.
I’ve been loving P20 so much that it’s replaced all of my other sunscreens, all day everyday. It’s actually perfect for me.
You should try Bioderma Spot age spf 50+ ☺️

Hey you can check "Cyrille Laurent " channel. He has video about high protected body sunscreen. He is a researcher and very sorted and knowledgeable about skincare. His sunscreen recommendations is really awesome and logical. Just give it a try🤗, you will not regret it.
I use p20 and I love how juicy and dewy it makes my skin look, I don’t even have to wear foundation. But maybe too emollient and shiny for some.

As someone that lives in France, where Garnier is from, wanna know how hard it is to get that particular type of Garnier sunscreen here in France!???!!! hahaha, I can never find it in the regular store, ever, and I think I saw it ONCE in a large pharmacy, we usually have to order it online, and that sucks. You have to realise, even though it's a French brand, they don't make the same stuff for every area, including in the EU, and the UK is not the EU anymore honey, lol

I LOVEEEEE the evy sunscreens! They leave way less residue on the skin than any other sunscreen (i have tested ALL the popular ones) and I guess it is bc they go deeper. They also have ALL 5 stars of UVA protection!!! I find that whilst the kids one is the hardest to blend out bc it doesn't spread easy, it is the least greasy one once it dries down. I use it all over, even on my face and it is my fave :)
I can’t get them to work for me, the ones I’ve tried (face 30, regular 50, kids 50) are horribly sticky on my skin, yet everyone keeps saying how great they are. 😞 I want to love them as they are really easy to find here in Sweden, and the longevity is amazing. The face one stung my eyes like crazy and the body ones make my skin so sticky I struggle to get clothes on. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong..
@@curlsofa2017 dont know if you do, but I never use a moisturiser under my sunscreen bc I have oily skin. I always only use SPF in the mornings. And then i blot my face off before reaplying. Maybe thats the difference? I understand that this might not work for dryer skin.
Also, yes, they sting your eyes. I find that any sunscreen that have a abnormally long wear time do this to me. I use the LP shaka fluid one on my eye lids but the evy one under and on my brow bone
@@Arthe5 I never use moisturiser on my body (even though I probably should), and that’s where I have the biggest problem with stickiness.. maybe it’s just not for me. 😔For the face I guess I can start avoiding the eye area and just wear sunglasses as I’ve just had laser eye surgery done. Before I always had to use glasses and therefore needed sunscreen all over (I was too cheap to buy prescription sunglasses). 😀 Thanks for the tip!
@@curlsofa2017 Okej va synd! Allas hud är olika antar jag :( Solglasögon är bra men även genomskinliga glasögon kan ha UV-skydd. Det beror på vilket glas och ytbehandling man väljer. De flesta leverantörerna har dock ett lättare UV-skydd i alla sina ytbehandlingar så troligen fick du lite skydd med dina vanliga glasögon också :) (men skyddet beror också på hur stora de var såklart) Hoppas lasern fungerade bra!

I adore Altruist because it's affordable. I can't afford a lot of sunscreens especially repurchase them regularly so Altruist really fits me. On the eyes, it stings my eyes when I get teary but other than that it's great.

@Sundara Daya I have used other sunscreens before I just haven't bought a new one yet but I usually use 2 brands of sunscreens. Japanese sunscreens are my next go to-s.
I love Eucerin products. They are very sensitive skin friendly and don't break me out.
You’ve got to try Daylong! It’s my go-to when I’m in Europe, and it’s a liposomal filter produced by Galderma, the makers of Cetaphil and Differin gel. It’s not rich, but it’s not flaky, it’s my Goldie Locks. And it’s not expensive, it’s like 8 euro for a 50 mL tube and I think 16 euro for a 200 mL tube. It sucks that it’s like double to cost in the U.S. on Amazon. Also, if you ever get some time to go to France, stock up on some Vichy and La Roche because it’s like a third cheaper there than in the states.
I wish there were more cruelty free sunscreen options. For some reason I don't care how good sunscreen is if it's not cruelty free. We need to be kind to our skin and health but also to our environment
Hi, Eucerin has an amazing sunscreen with Thiamidol for fading sun spots and evening out the skin tone. I have been using it in combination with their Dual Serum for about 3 months already and I have seen amazing results. My skin type is normal to dry and I live in very hot and humid area. I hope you can do some reviews on that product.

@@mushy470 not on my skin, and it absorbs and forms a film with a bit of a glow. I use it mostly because of the ingredient Thiamidol that is for fading sun spots, melasma etc.
@@mushy470 it doesn't, it absorbs really nicely, but I have to matify my face with powder after using it (i don't wear other makeup lately in this hot weather)

On the BeautyBay website there is a company called Gruum that partnered with Altruist to sell the sunscreen. It looks like a completely different company but it’s got altruist in very small yellow print on the bottles. Plus you get 2 50ml bottles of the spf 50 fluid for £10 but if you buy from the other places each 50ml bottle is about £10.
I absolutely love some of the sunscreens mention, another good one to try is soltan face once 50+, just another great one although my favours one is the p20 kids and evy face 50 for sure (and the ultrasun mist to top up) 🤗 helps to know they’re vegan friendly and cruelty free

To be honest, we don't have enough mineral SPFs in the UK. Such a struggle to find a decent one that doesn't leave a white cast. I managed to find two founded by BAME women ❤️.

LRP is a tad oily for me but does not irritate my oily sensitive skin though. Gonna try Eucerin Oil Control.

The La Roche-Posay ANTHELIOS Shaka ultralet SPF 50 is also amazing for dry and sensitive skin.
I've got very sensitive eyes and this is not stinging my eyes. It isn't drying, and you can you you favorite moisturizer underneath without feeling lidt you are piling yet another product on. It just disappears on top.
Garnier had recently made af cheaper version/ dupe for it (solair sensitive advanced something). Same mother company = pretty good dupe

Eucerin's facial sunscreen is my fave. Feels amazing on my skin and doesn't break me out (like the other Eucerin products I've tried😿). To be fair thought even though I got covered in acne from their other sunscreens I didn't get sunburn.
The boots ratio gives the uva / uvb absorption ratio, that's not equal to the uvapf/spf ratio... according P20 the SPF is 90 and UVAPF56.6. So boots seems more like a logarithmic relation, spf90^0.896 = uvapf56.6, and 0.896 means 4 stars, so that seems more logical.
Read the packaging carefully when buying the Garnier once, they have a lot of different once. I accidentally bought one and it was super greasy, because it wasn't the right one, so look out for the right one
Also Garnier have a fluid SPF which is an exact dupe for the La Roche Posay Anthelios SPF50+. It even has HA and it's over 1/2 the price!!!!!
yeah ..like that too! only problem ( especially for those with sensitive skin/ eyes): there is quite an amount of alcohol denat. in it

Great video. I do wonder if all of these sunscreens would work for deeper skin tones like Fitzpatrick types V and V1?
Most of them do! The only ones with questionable potential were the Altruist and P20 sunscreens, but aside from that they’re all chemical filters and don’t have white casts. As I mentioned for the Altruist, I sent some to Style and Beauty Doctor to try out, and they mostly worked really well for her as well!

They are all chemical of hybrid. It is very difficult to find a mineral only sunscreen here in the UK and they tend to be more expensive. We have many amazing new version filters available in the EU and even my super sensitive skin can tolerate them. Weirdly enough, I get irritated with zinc sunscreens.
Evy question - Does the long lasting claim also apply to the UVA protection?
In the US, I believe we test longevity and water resistance by exposing a person to UV and seeing if they get a little burnt. But, burning is mostly from UVB. So our tests don't say if the UVA protection is still working. I'm wondering if Evy's longevity is tested the same way, and if so, if there is another test or a chemical analysis that would help us gage the longevity of the Evy UVA protection.

Is P20 reef safe and where can we get this shipped to the U.S.? So sad for the U.S. that we can’t get these filters here. I recently ordered the Evy mousse off eBay. Excited to try it. But the P20 sounds like my dream spf if it lasts that long. I wear makeup everyday due to my sunspots and I need a longer lasting one so I don’t have to reapply as often on top of my makeup.
How do u wash off Evy? Do u have to use oilcleanser? I just want to use gel cleanser, but it mabye don’t wash off with just gel?
