I really like this interview they're really relaxed I think bc ZZH already know the interviewer and the team he creates a good mood so GJ can relax too even tho he never met the guy before and he's shining and they can be super honest (GJ admitting right away that he lied to be seen in a good light proves it and it went well) they really have a good friendship and trust between eo so it's so relaxing and pleasant and fun to watch as an audience
The interviewer is actually the producer of the show Ace vs Ace, Wu Tong. I am amazed at how he can make almost everyone being so comfortable in the show. I am glad ZZH and GJ came to this show and ZZH even got to sing with my fave singer Huahua (Hua Chen Yu).

They are so laid back they are a joy to watch. This is the difference with Zhan Xiao and Yibo Wang they were really nervous in interviews and made each other blush which was suspicious. I don't see any flirting here is all pure fun between two good mates.
Because XZ and WY were really young and relative newcomers, esp WY who was barely 20-21 at the time. Also, it was one of the first mainstream BL, so they don't know how the people will react to mainstream actors in a BL drama (esp since the biggest example they had before them was Addicted controversy). Most people think it's because they are real CP, but honestly I think they were just really nervous. Meanwhile, ZZH and GJ are older and way more established as drama actors. If the show flops, it will not destroy their careers, so they are more chill and laid-back.

So it makes sense that they were cautious and defensive, but for some reason people think it's because they were f***ing each other IRL.

Despite the low budget, lack of promotions, the story is very authentic to the novel (that's what I heard), the portrayal of the complex characters, the scriptwriting (expansion of the story, cultural/poetic references), the side characters, chemistry and the subtle (and not so subtle) implication of the lead's relationship. Everything is just perfect.

I’m just so happy that a dark horse drama became such a big hit and so loved by many. WOH captured many hearts because the whole cast and crew put so much love and care to it. Great acting and chemistry, good script, and keep the story as close and true to the novel will give you good results.
