Wholeheartedly agree :) this really was just such a beautifully written and acted-out story from start to finish. Priest certainly knows how to write a good tale...even if Guardian went crazy towards the end (tbh I loved it regardless, despite the insanity), Word of Honour just never skipped a beat in playing out such a wonderful story and weaving in such fun and complicated interpersonal relationships. I think I'm off to watch it again now, definitely the best thing I've seen so far this year (and that's saying a lot, as there's certainly been a lot of good Chinese dramas already in 2021!).

Lol i watched this on Netflix and fortunately, Netflix airs a full version. And honestly, i remember this scene the most because it's very cheesy and flirtatious. I screamed like crazy when i was watching this scene.

We really feel the changes and growth in their relationship with the 3 times name calling. @@ipsitahansdah7428 No problem, and it’s not inconvenient at all. The people in the ghost valley including Wen Kexing are humans, not ghosts. They are considered ghosts because I assumed they were all rejected from the so called “righteous” sects for some reason or the other. They pretty much hidden themselves from the real world. That’s why they referred themselves as ghosts. At least that’s what I understood from the drama. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong 😆
I am not sure why they cut out those scenes. If sucking out the blood from the shoulder and WKX crying and wrapping his arms around ZZS' waist could pass censorship, these scenes shouldn't be any issue.

Most of those cut scene should not be cut at all cuz they made the scene more meaningful and real. Most if not all should not be censored as it is part of the drama. Haaayyyy if they did not cut those scene it would have been more than perfect 101%
5:40 Omg this scene 😭 I think it's the equivalent of the novel part where ZZS is to go with the shaman and Beyuan to be healed and he's asking WKX if he's sincere with him (in regards to his feeling), to which WKX asks "can you not tell?" and ZZS responds with "no I can't, I'm only used to lying, so tell me, are you sincere with me?" and I thought it was the first real vulnerable moment we see of ZZS. He's insecure whether WKX means what he says or if he was just fooling around with him.

To be honest, I really like how the special version and the original version of episode 12, the lines were subbed differently as in the special version, the subtitles were subbed originally to what the actors were actually saying, while the original version were low-key in their dialogues. I really like what was said in the special version of episode 12 lol Because that subtitle makes more sense than the original version, although it's still dubbed but the subtitle of the special version was much better.
I need two more special episodes: 1. The one where Ye Bai Yi draws his sword to kill wen and A'Xu is supposed to rest his head on wen's shoulder which is cut from original version 2. The much awaited last ep with white hair wen and A'Xu bickering in the air Ou..... Idk if I asked too much, just hope that Youku would be kind enough!!

Isn't it amazing what a few added seconds of a long last look, or a simple gesture of completing a hug can enrich a scene. You can feel their connection so much more with the special version. It doesn't take a kiss or a bedroom scene to show their connection. Just a look or a hug enriches the story. After watching a review, I understood subtle gestures more, lite the hair pin scene. That was the gesture of their marriage. It was explained a woman gave her hair pin to her husband and they were married. So sweet and subtle. 😭

In both versions, ZZS responds to WKX's touch by turning his head, but only in the special version do we see WKX's initial action. Youku, thanks for spoiling your "Word of Honor" fans! :D
