Both houses & cars have become too expensive for most these days, most especially for single people and/or single-income households. Even a lot of 2 income households can't afford them.
The industry has driven prices too high for most families. The solution is for prices to align with family budgets, even if it means a market correction. The wisest thing that should be on everyone mind currently should be to invest in different streams of income that doesn't depend on the govt.
What if you don't know how to trade any of these? I mean, see your point some people have the money and are willing to invest, the question is where to.

Looks easy but the expenses that I need to spend on inspections, compliance, gst, registration, etc would have a significant cost
5% custom duty, fuel excise is 49%
What is fuel excise, I read on a blog that total 10% tax is charged(cost of vehicle+shipping charges)

In Canada, used imports from Japan must be at least 15 years old, so does Australia have a limit like this? Or any car can be imported?
I've seen imported cars less than 10 years old in Australia.
It depends, the Australian government allows the import of certain cars less than 25 years. But any car over the age of 25 years can be imported
