100% If you want something that is as close to new as possible you can get ex demo cars from the dealerships and can usually save a few thousand and you can usually take delivery of the car in a matter of days.
Howdy! Right But it depends from income Try to buy a used car in Kazakhstan with engineers salary 400.0euro :) You will be a national hero as well Have a good day! Tararabit
And when you try to claim that warranty they usually bs you about how that’s not covered. Not worth it imo, I rather spend that extra money to hire someone to do a pre purchase inspection
This video is very helpful and useful..Thank you for sharing the same. Also, requesting to make a video on How to get license, different types of car driving licenses in Australia.
One of the main reason why the uptake of Electric vehicles is low in Australia, is because our country is so large and the fuel range of EV cars with so low. Theyre a great option for people who live in inner city areas, but if you have a decent commute to work or like to travel on weekends, ICE vehicles are still a better option for most Australians
Hello, thanks for this information. I want to buy a cheap new car, but the dealers only want to sell expensive cars. Can you please help/ advice me... I live in Mackay, Queensland. Many thanks, sincerely John Lincoln
Buying used car from dealer , i think is better , because if you discovered a bad matter within your car , you can return back the car to him , i think they give you guarantee , is n’t it?
Great video. With rego costs, the big difference in costs is related to the number of cylinders the car/truck has. E.G..it will cost more to register a V8 as opposed to a 4 cylinder vehicle.
Not every state. for private passenger vehicles in victoria it is based on the risk level of the area you are in. ie. metro or rural. Other states it is either weight of vehicle or size of engine or both.
Very informative video, Thanks! Does Australia give consideration or loan assistance to newly landed immigrants in buying a car or a house since we don't have a credit rating yet? Do we need to build a good credit score first to get a loan or do we need to pay in full? My family and I will be moving to Melbourne early next year and planning to get a bnew car.
Hi! Thanks for your questions! As mentioned in the video, I'm 99% sure that you have to have Aus citizenship or PR to access a car loan, but I recommend talking to your bank just in case :) edited: there's this article by finder that talks about car loans for temporary visa holders - it seems there're a few major banks that do offer loans but they have stricter eligibility criteria (www.finder.com.au/car-loans-for-temporary-residents) - either way, highly recommend talking to your bank once you're here :)
@@livingsimplyaustralia Hello Ms. Martina, thank you for your response. 😊 Yes, we will be PR status when we arrive, it's the eligibility that I'm thinking about since we're newly landed and no credit history. I'll do as you've recommended and hope for the best! Will binge watch all your videos they're great!
@@livingsimplyaustralia hi... Do you know If there is an especific visa to work in Australia with all the family? I have two little kids and i heard that Australia want more families... Do you know something about It? Thank you!
@@robertnervoso771 Hi Robert, thanks for your question. My understanding is that if you come to Australia on a relevant work visa, your dependants and spouse are eligible to come with you. Having said that, I highly recommend checking the Department of Home Affairs website or contacting a MARA registered agent (only registered entities are able to provide visas or legal migration advice).
When you go to buy the car the seller needs to have the registration paperwork on them. you will sign your name and amount paid on that form and you will lodge it (online or in person) That will transfer the car into your name. The old owner should also put in the notice of disposal. Only tranfer the money for the car in person where you can also write out a reciept even if its just hand written on a scap piece of paper.
@@ottigreenisgo thank you!! I have been stressing quite a bit about buying my first car. Would we sign the forms before I give him a cheque for the car? Thank you!
@@nathansmith5726 yes exactly, normally it would be you pay a deposit and then you can do a bank transfer for the rest of the money when you are there with the forms etc in hand. There are people that will help to broker the deal for you if you don’t feel comfortable with the process. And I will always recommend getting a private mechanic to check over the car first to ensure it is a good car for the money
Just on your info about Carsales its not all as cut and dry as you make it out to be.I send a message about the car I am interested in and I never get a reply back
Sometimes that happens (if the person sold the car and forgot to take the ad down e.g.). But in the majority of cases, they do reply back. Having said that, if people are not replying back to you, then use other tools. Good luck.
Hello, I love your videos very useful and and informative. I am hoping to move with my family to Australia in 2024. Please help me find a job that doesn't require any qualification because I am under qualified. Thanks
We have an import tax on cars to protect our own car industry. problem is we haven;t had our own car industry for a number of years now and they keep forgetting to remove the tax. Also it is based on what people are willing to spend on a used car. For a 10 year old hatchback you will be paying more than 3x the price in australia compared to somewhere like the uk
@@ottigreenisgo dont think so you mean luxury performance cars in uk , the not 3 x times price in Australia either , 2016 BMW m4 comp in uk £30000 in Australia $70000aud , Australia has import duty " custom duty " luxury car tax , stamp duty uk doesn't have why much cheaper new

Buying a new car is a massive waste of money. Buy used with low mileage and you get much more value for money.
Good used cars cost almost the same as new cars of the same model because last year new car prices rose a lot.
Buy used and that too with a low mileage ? Are you serious or an idiot?
