Let's hope Kojima gets to make masterpieces in the near future and this time he won't be weighed down and second guessed by anyone. In short, fuck Konami and best of luck to Kojima.
This was the crown jewel of my PS4. A thunderstorm occurred and before I could power down my system, a lightning struck and killed my PS4. @@SHNHorror I know youre joking, but no. Kojima did have a say in the graphics, but he's the director, and P.T. was no one-man project. Not to mention that Radius Gordello's remake does this as well. There has to be some kind of tech or trickery for them to be able to pull this off.
most efficient way to render mirror in a room for a video game is doing an exact copy of the room, you could see the hit light is so clear, no noise that I really assure you that's an exact copy of mirrored content

Konami: You can't make a demo with just one hallway
Kojima: Hold my beer
the inexplicable cancellation of this masterwork is proof that we are living in the worst timeline.
the darkest timeline xd
We are truly in the Sodom and Gomorrah timeline
14:47 "After killing his family, the father hung himself with a garden hose they had in the garage (After killing his family, the father hung himself with an umbilical cord they had in the garage)"
“Look behind you…”
“I SAID, look behind you…”
I thought that was creepy as shit 😰
Horrific.
How is that even possible?
I always thought that the cords were disposed after the child's born.
And more importantly, how the hell can a simple chord used to give nutrients to a baby before it's born Is strong enough to hang a full grown man?
@@sarahlencioni607if you had a really long one I could see it… it’s rather sturdy and reasonably thick. I wanna it might snap.
But also this is just silent hills whole story line about births and old gods being born. It’s probably something else entirely…
Who has an umbilical cord in their garage?
13:45 now THIS is walkthrough artistry. having what the character does make logical sense, since in real life you probably wouldn't normally look behind you on the stairs. very, very well done. you played it like a cinematic.
There’s some spooky horror games but this is the only one that genuinely terrifies me
I never got why people were bummed when this was canceled until playing Death Stranding. Kojima is a design & world building genius. Hurts my heart we’ll never see this game fully realized 😔
That det stranding game was terrible imo.
@@ragnarok9658 nah
His worst creating yet is what made you realize?
@@death_forsale1362 I’m speaking from point of view. You’re allowed to not like the game but don’t put that feeling on others 🤝
there’s 8 billion of us. we all like different things
@@collision5904yes it is terrible
I remember watching a playthrough with my buddies late at night. I was then going home on my bike at 3 am, scared shitless at every redlight haha.
Oh hell no haha
Hello Daniel
I'm just gonna keep scrolling through the comments as I watch this. Okay? Okay.
Cry a little inside every time I see this and think of what the game would have been. But we have youtube videos for all time :) Thanks, great playthrough!
We need to petition to bring it back. Riot protest something….this game was too good to be canceled
Can't believe it's been 10 years 😢 feels like it was just a month ago
I never had the opportunity to play this demo since it was already gone by the time I got my PS4. But Jesus Christ, this game is so fucking scary. I'm about halfway looking at somebody else play it and it's not even that dark over here and I'm scared shitless. This really could've been the best horror game ever made. It's so sad that it got cancelled..
Yes. Same here. It's a crime that this got removed, and that Silent Hills got canceled.
Good going on Konami's part for canceling this and fixating on mobile games instead. Why have a gaming studio if you don't even invest in actual games right? Let's hope Kojima gets to make masterpieces in the near future and this time he won't be weighed down and second guessed by anyone.
In short, fuck Konami and best of luck to Kojima.
Takedrugskillabear o
Kojima is making bangers and konami is forgotten
Why are we here...? Just to suffer? Every night I can feel this game.
Do you still have it on your ps4?
LudicrousKid I didn’t have a PS4 before this came out.
@@tommybro5313 well that's unfortunate. neither did I.
absolute chills every time that silent hill screen pops up at the end. Amazing game. Its genuinely heartbreaking to see it go like it did.
Nothing will ever top this masterpiece
i don't think this is the first time you've played this. well directed, sir. loved it.
Cancelling this game was one of the biggest gaming tragedies.
This was the crown jewel of my PS4. A thunderstorm occurred and before I could power down my system, a lightning struck and killed my PS4. Spared my flatscreen, soundbar, and other 8 systems plugged into the surge protector. I swear Konami sent that storm to target my PS4 just to take away my P.T. Now all I have are these amazing gameplay videos on UA-cam.
You’re doing gods work for people that can’t play this game.
11:32 lol you definitely had something creepy breathing behind you, the radio even said look behind you as you walked away
27:15 - I literally screamed! Loudly. The tension was freakin killing me. I knew something was gonna happen. Every time he did not walk through the door I was like WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!? YOU FOOL!!
They could release this as a movie and I'd pay to watch it
Me at the beginning: MY GOD, THIS GAME IS BEAUTIFUL
Me after 5minutes: This is getting me real nervous, I think I have to poo!
Me after 9:45 minutes: I’m safe if I don’t full screen-nope! NOO
MY god they had a masterpiece, graphics, psychological horror built up from the beginning! This could match or actually beat resident evil 7 and every other horror game
Damn you Konami
Hear, hear!
RE 7 was made after this and was clearly inspired by SH PT. Still, not even close to this.
i wanna know more about the you having to poo part
Kojima*
The standard for all horror genre video games set by a DEMO... if only this masterpiece had been finished...
The most scariest thing about P.T is that it was cancelled
I remember hearing about this game and not knowing anything about it until I played it with a bunch of my friends together at my house when we were 13. Talk about scared shitless.
Was just talking to my roommate about horror games and asked him if he had seen this before... he said no so I sent him straight to this no commentary gameplay video haha. Can’t wait to hear about his reaction in 30 minutes :) This will forever be a legendary game idea!
what was his reaction
@B. R. on god
At this point, I only hope that the first three Silent Hills get remade without changing the stories (especially SH2) like the Resident Evil games are being remade. The HD collection was a slap in the face and these games are classics. I wanna relive those games on a modern platform, dammit!
I can honestly predict that if there ever will be any remake of the first SH games, you'd prefer the HD Collection instead..
I don't know... the old school graphics really enhance the experience imo
I'd be fine with them just releasing new SH games, they originals are perfect the way they are
@@mellowboar9160 Imo, the graphics of parts 2 & 3 still hold up
@@Stigmatix666 yeah
they look really good for being ps2 games, but they still look oldschool enough to give that kinda eerie vibe you get from old games
I love them
@@mellowboar9160 Yes, I agree. But they sure do look fantastic for being released early '00's.
This could have been one of the greatest horror survival games ever, and they cancelled it for some of the worst reasons ever. I hate it when good games are cancelled, and yet crap like Ride to Hell Retribution, Fallout 76, Anthem, Sonic Free Riders, and Superman 64 are allowed to exist. At least we got Layers of Fear 1 and 2 because of this game.
Just imagine how fantastic the full game would be
Them cockroaches are just too damn realistic.
In another universe we got this instead of Death Stranding
Can't believe next monday 12 august/19 this game will reach 5 years since it was released in the PSN. To be honest, after watching your flawless playthrough, I shed a tear when the Silent Hill theme started to play. This franchise shaped me, and it's too sad to remember how everything went to shit.
Now we have four games, but this.. this was a Crazy demo. And i don't want to imagine the game with the four Monsters (kojima, del toro, reedus and junji ito )
Probably One of the most scarier silent Hill with the four.
now it's been 9. 9 years. wow.
I feel so bad for the baby that was crying. Im only 16 mins in but man the more she/he cries the more bad i feel.
A COMPLETE AND TOTAL MASTERPIECE. I think the real demon is the one who got this cancelled.
My son got this brilliant teaser for me to play, he knew how much I loved Silent Hill and Fatal Frame, but this was too wonderfully horrifying ! Thanks for playing so chickens like me could see the end.
As much of a shame this game was cancelled without PT I’m sure we would have never seen Resident Evil for instance revitalised the way it has and a lot of horror games out today are which are obviously influenced by PT. It really has had a lasting legacy.
man I freaking love your videos. I just sit back and enjoy the show. Thanks for the uploads
It's really cool that you can hear the lantern swinging sound in some parts of metal gear solid 5
I have not been this scared of a walkthrough in ages
9:57 The Fox engine emulating the flashlight bouncing off the mirror onto the walls. That's amazing, how did they do this without any raytracing available at the time?
Kojima . 😂
@@DPDPDPDP Given how you can see the flashlight bouncing off of the wall, I think they copied the flashlight too. Neat as hell
Ugh I still can't get over how AMAZING this game would have been!!! Thank goodness I was able to download and keep a copy.
Not only are horror games just too scary for me to get through, I can never figure out the subtle puzzles and what not you have to figure out for these kinds of games. Much easier to just watch playthroughs 😆
Totally get what you mean 100%. Puzzl-y games like this aren't fun when I'm playing them myself because it takes me wayyyy too long to figure it out, or I just end up googling it just to get past it. Lmao. What fun is that??!! I'll ALWAYS have way more fun watching other people play games. Even if they're not good at them, they can edit out the frustrating parts.
I literally jump up and sigh when he walks pass the bathroom and seen lisa standing there. I wish someone would have picked up on this game and finish it rather than canceling it.
It's kinda sad they canceled this game. A first person silent hill game would've been an absolute game changer.
Ah. Goosebumps... R.I.P to a beautiful, wonderful, horror masterpiece that could've been...
they're making Silent Hill 2!! It's a reboot to what P.T. was supposed to be
@@illuwu Wonderful news to wake up to! :D
Same here, it was my first silent hill that introduce and I never get a chance to play. Shame onto Konami.
I was heartbroken by that cancellation, more worse than losing your gf
even this project never made it silent hill 2 remake still comes and few other Sh titles too i dont expect anything creative or story continues those unknwons Sh titles jsut happy they redone SH 2 remake at grounds SH 2 HD was BS tough no fog effects and voice actors was terrible we dont wanna see that ever again Interesting also is New dev team invited Annapurna small indie company do to visuals this game i really hope they wont mess fog effect again Xd
This came out 8 years ago already?! I remember being excited about the possible release of this game and crying when Kojima left Konami 😭 and realizing this game was never going to be made.
In my restless dreams I see that town, Silent Hill. You promised you'd take me there again someday, but you never did.
Well I'm alone there now in our special place waiting for you.
14:48 if you listen closely you can hear a muffled voice saying the father hung himself with an umbilical cord instead of a garden hose. if you cant hear it, try using headphones
edit: someone already found it 3 years earlier
ok, this is scary af. kudos to the development team.
One of the most impactful games in modern gaming history and it was only a demo.
Nearly every other horror game on steam is trying to capture even a sliver of what this game accomplished in a single hallway demo
Still come back to this to cry that it got cancelled 😭
The radio host says that police found the father in his car listening to the radio, but then later says after killing his family the father hung himself with a garden hose. So which one was it?
Hello I am Brazilian and I must say that I love your Channel, I like horror a lot
Rest in peace. I can't even use F, I respected this game so much.
This game had it all. It was destined for the greatest triumph, It could very well have been the best horror video game of the decade and one of the best in history.
But the world was not ready for it. There will never be my forgiveness for what they did to it, never.
Silent hill 2 remake coming guys
"Supremely terrifying," says Joel McCallum of Tulsa, Oklahoma. "A sumptuous feast of mind-bending, stomach-churning horror!"
Man this game would’ve saved the franchise
How could they truly cancel this work of art.
#FUCKONAMI
H I know right. Idiots
I will still not forgive Konami for cancelling this masterpiece
I dare you to watch this at night, alone at home full screen and with headphones.
*I DID, NO CHANGE, SAME AS IN DAYLIGHT.*
What's it with Norman and babies?
I never appreciate the ads in the video like this before 😂😂
Look on the bright side. At least we got a, uh, Silent Hill 2 Slot Machine!
22:14 “I’m heading there now.”
How’d you get the red screen? Most players get a white screen.
