My parts are awful it the back but I'm just focusing on the top and front of my hair. I'm just happy it looks decent for my first try because I'm wearing this to my brother's wedding
The parting and parting charts are major helpful. Thank you. I find starting with larger braids as practice is the way to go. The style is neater and you don’t waste hair. You get to perfect your parting and braiding skills while it not look like you’re practicing. ❤
I moved to an area that has no affordable or close braiders so I’m attempting this myself! Super nervous cause my hair is short but I blocked off 4days to get this done. Literally watching this on REPEAT!!
It’s the adding of the hair that looks so intimidating, the way you slid it in made it look realllll easy. I’m starting tomorrow! They might just have the knots on em when I’m done! 🤷🏾♀️
You’re a great teacher you make everything look so easy. I started using your parting method on my clients cutting down on my time braiding and such a crisp look 😍 but they came out so nice. Thank you for showing us!💕💕
Yes, I do my own hair. The only time I usually let anyone else do it is when I want a cut, lol. I just did individual small kinky twists. They look more like sister locs, but I love them.
Wow, thanks for this tutorial! For me, feeding the braiding hair so many times may take too long so I think I’ll do the regular box braid way at the thickness I like and add in the curly hair to see if it works… I also appreciate you showing how you secure the ends of the braids, I’ve been looking for that! Beautiful work!
It's funny how I was on here looking for something else and found this. But I started Saturday around 1145pm and finished Monday @5❤❤ It was such a task but I did it
Great video. I started braiding my own hair in 2019. I am loving the braided look vs. twists. I go back and forth between the two. I haven’t gotten to knotless yet. My hair is so fine that I’m not sure if it would last long doing knotless. In order to make the knot really small, I start with a very thin piece and then start feeding in more as I go. Lately, I’ve been using the gogo curls and I actually love them. I get tons of compliments and most are blown away when I tell them that I do my own hair. DIY is the way to go. My parting still needs some work but I don’t beat myself up about it. I have Meniere’s Disease (inner ear disorder) which causes severe vertigo and balancing issues. So I do my hair in sections over 2-3 days in order to avoid tiredness and to make sure they are neat.
I would love to try this (I may honestly use some synthetic curly hair I have to practice on my mannequin head.) I would hate to get the human hair and waste it. Also thank you for the pre-parting visual. I struggle so much when I get to the top of my head 😂
I been diying for like 10 years now. I taught myself to do regularl box braids in college 10 years ago and was mainly doing those until recently. I’ve been really enjoying marley twists and sleek buns on myself these last few months. I’m gonna try these later this month when I take down my current twists.
Thank you for all of the detailed descriptions throughout the process! My baby is mixed and she didn’t get my hair so I’ve been struggling with some techniques and your video was so helpful. I can’t wait to do these braids on her!
Sis, you make this look so easy. I’ve braided my hair several times before in box braids but I’ve never done it this way I’m watching, but I ain’t sure yet. It looks difficult but if I can braid, I’m pretty certain I’ll pick it up after a while of practicing, I think I’m just gonna. Buy me a doll and practice.😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤ and it usually takes me three days to finish my hair doing this particular style. I think it’s gonna take about five or six days.
I'm always diying my hair since i was 14. Cus the braiding places charge alot and they pull too tight. My fav hairstyle to do is between box goddess locks and boho box braids. Your natural hair looks very healthy, your serious face is adorable lol, and i love how your hair came out. I'm doing this style tomorrow. Also I'm using all human hair cus synthetic breaks my hair out really bad. Subscribed❤
I literally love you for this video. Me and you have the exact same hair type, hair problems as far as tension on the scalp, and almost the same length. So seeing you do your hair in this method helped me a lot in braiding mine. tyy
This video helped a lot! Very detailed! 🙌🏽 Question: how do you determine how much hair is added if you want them waist length? My only struggle is adding the braiding hair for length. 😩😩😩
Great video! Loved how detailed this video is! Question, how long does this hairstyle lasts for? I’m planning to get braids soon - never done goddess braids before and I really want to but If I do this hairstyle, I want it to last for about a month or two as I will be going on vacation and will be swimming in water…any tips?
I’m never using synthetic hair again. In the past I’ve braided my hair using wavy human hair because it was easier for me and I worn zillions which are similar. I had stylist using the synthetic hair but I itched for days and weeks. Sea breeze, and tea tree oil didn’t help me, but Vicks did. I refuse to take out the braids and went around smelling like Vicks vapor rub. LOL. The inching finally seized. One time, I washed the synthetic in red vinegar, rinse out, let the hair dry on hangers and took the hair on hangers to the Braider. She understood, but we end up having to get two more packages of synthetic hair. Synthetic hair is made in the factory from plastic. I like your prior parting and will use that technique but will not be adding extra hair because I’ll be using 100% human hair. Keep the videos coming.
Beautiful! I would have loved for you to really show us the finished result and show us close ups, side views and back views. I loved the tutorial but really wished I could have enjoyed the final look more than a few seconds😻🙏🏽
Will mousee help seal the hair or is that just for shine? My hair will be too long for the hot water method and I don't want to put any glue on my hair. 😢
yeah mousse is just for the shine! it might help a little though! sometimes i don't dip it but i have to make sure its not blunt and tapers off enough at the ends to avoid unraveling
@ is there a way to steal the air with another method? I don't want my natural hair damaged in any way but looking for a style thats low maintenence and swim friendly.
Does your hair easily tangle? I’m thinking of making a purchase as I want to get this hairstyle done soon but I will be needing this hairstyle to last and not tangle up on me as I will be doing a lot of swimming…
@@hi.goodbye2167 Hi dear, our human hair that doesn't tangle easily, if you're concerned about tangling during exercise, we recommend certain care methods. 1. Active Hair Care: To prevent tangles during sports or swimming, loosely pull hair into a bun, ponytail, or braids. 2. Protective Styling: Protect braids and curls at night to avoid frizz, breakage, and tangling. 3. Silk or Satin Products: Use silk or satin pillowcases and scarves, or wear a silk bonnet to protect hair while sleeping.
@@hi.goodbye2167 Dear, our human braiding hair is designed with high-quality material and is not easily tangled. We recommend tying the braids into a ponytail when needed, such as after swimming, for easier management.🥰🥰🥰
I currently have boho braids and I absolutely hate them I've had in sinse may 10.my hair is itching like crazy my sytlist latched the hair to my real hair I thought she would have added hair .this is my first and last time getting boho I usually get individuals or cornrows .
This parting method literally saved me so much time. Day 1 half head of knotless boho done finishing the top and final touches tomorrow
My parts are awful it the back but I'm just focusing on the top and front of my hair. I'm just happy it looks decent for my first try because I'm wearing this to my brother's wedding

Thank you
I used her pre part method for the back of my hair and when I tell you I never parted my hair so fast in the back I was surprised 🥰🥰😭😭😭
The parting was so much help! Thank you so much! I’m good at the braids but suck at figuring the parting out, this was a godsend ❤️
