I love how this series has so much going on behind the scenes - all these ridiculously powerful fictional characters crossing over with our own world - yet they all collectively agree to settle conflicts via Yu-gi-oh. It's so stupid and I love it.
Honestly it is on par with Yu-gi-oh canon. Want to overthrow humanity and summon the end times? Duel. Want to get ultimate power (via trading cards)? Duel. Want to escape prison? Duel. Want to summon ancient gods (no not those ones)? Duel. Want to fix time itself? Duel. So this tournament and it's sideshows are very on brand
It kinda reminds me of No Game No Life where you have powerful beings that can wipe out humanity (Imanity in the series) but due to the God wanting to prevent war, they play games to settle conflicts.
True, but it is also out of character and Star Wars is intended to be long-lasting in its memory. 20 years from now, no one will know what cooking is as an action you do to someone else. But Star Wars will still be a thing.
I love how this series is a crossover between a bunch of different IPs with ridiculously powerful characters and yet they all decide to settle their conflicts with Yu-gi-oh.
This was only 3 rounds. Gotta admit, I loved Vader’s Eclipse play there. But Vader’s new deck has one major weakness: he deliberately lowers his life points. Effect damage decks would really hurt.

Star Lord vs Vader was already my most anticipated match of the Quarter Finals, but this duel just made me even more excited for it... Dark Planet is something else. Also great to see the Monarchs make a cameo in this series. 👍
Darkseid's dialogue actually sounds like a real Yugioh villain. How his threats lead into his next move so seamlessly. Definitely felt like a Shadow game. 💯👏👏👏
When the tournament started I only expected… y’know… the matches in the tournament. But getting all these extra games on the side really helps the whole story you’re telling and I’m loving it
It's not a anime tournament if it doesn't go off-rail after a few matches, have a bunch of B plot running behind the curtain and somehow end up with the world at stake, before getting back on track for the finale between the protagonist and his rival.
I just woke up, and when I saw darkside with Vader, I thought ,I was still dreaming , Like, how did u put ,one of DC's main villains in this 😂❤ I love it .

I love this duel out of all the ones we've gotten so far and what drives it home is the humor and writing. It's the best thus far. I would have also loved to be a fly on the wall of the Death Star if Vader had lost the duel and the Empire to Darkseid and seeing the Emperor respond.
This series is fantastic! If cameos can come in during the tournament, can we get Brandon Fraiser to appear? Considering his comeback story from losing everything decades ago just to return to make a performance of a lifetime. What better deck for him than Infernities? Let him draw victory from being handless
These Celebrity & Character Duels are so neat and badass, you even get to see them build towards an unbeatable board and also see the opposer attempting to break it. It's always back and forth.
