  • Stacy Newman interviews Naomi Judd. I love this interview, Stacy is so good! In many interviews you can sense Naomi is not comfortable, but not this one. Thank you to the More Than The Music Team ❤️

Naomi Judd's suffering was not in vain. Coming, myself, from a family who suffered from unspeakable and deadly depression, I know that Naomi was so much more than human. She was a blessed and glorious light that shined on everyone, even in her own darkest hours. Naomi was a rare and true EMPATH. She wasn't beautiful for nothing. Her heart was the smile and compassion she wore on her face. And, her SPIRIT will exist throughout the universe until the last person whose heart and soul she touched ceases to exist. Since we have a recorded history of Naomi's "song," her SPIRIT will live on into infinity. Rare and beautiful soul, Rest in Peace and Lead the Choir.

Her book was a god send to me. Because I not only had anxiety and depression but found out I had borderline personality disorder. It makes the depression and anxiety more intense. For a while I thought I was going crazy with the way I was thinking and feeling but after listening to her book river of time I discovered I wasn’t the only one that thought or felt that way. It was a huge relief and comfort to me. Sad she is gone but I understand why she felt like there was no way out.

How heartbreaking that Naomi’s family never told her that they loved her. I miss Naomi’s storytelling. She is so real and vulnerable with so much honesty and integrity about her difficult and painful experiences. Her music and songwriting really transported us all to a happier place where love really does heal all. ❤️ 😊

This was one of my favorite interviews about the book. Both women were mutually respectful and it was so full of emotion.

I love this! If you happen to come across the full episode of Naomi and her hubby on the "my kitchen rules" show, that would be awesome! I can't find it anywhere.

Naomi wrote some of the most peaceful loving joyful spreading peace Comfort songs she really had to work hard to find those moments I guess that's how she was able to write in such depth about them Love Can Build a Bridge Grandpa and she was very truthful and hysterically funny and a little bit of her troublemaker in a good way I think I believe it when she said Aretha was mean

“I’m happy and content right now. Probably the most at peace I’ve ever been.” But you could see how heavy her soul was. It crushes me. I’ve never heard anyone else who GETS IT though. Unless you’ve been down deep where she’s been, where I’ve been, I don’t think you ever can understand. She makes me feel understood. That never happens.
Also, I want the recipe for that smoothie she made at the mental health shop. ;) Girl, what?? 🤍
    Love you, Naomi.

Hello friend. Audible has both books 🥰 you could listen to Mama Judd read the first couple chapters. Wy does not read any of her book, but the woman who does is fantastic!

I’m severely visually impaired, so I’ve been listening to the books on audible. I wish both women had read their own books, although I think it would have been gruelling for Naomi. I’m about 6 chapters in on Wynonna’s book. It’s not as heavy. Would love to have heard it in her own voice.

Compare this interview with her interview with Phyllis George.
In that interview she knew she was dealing with spiritual warfare. She also knew how to deal with it.
Very sad. The medicine only made things worse for her. 💔

what year was this ..had to be at least 2015 or later . .I'd say...it seems to be around that time 2015 ish 2016 when she first started coming back out after those 30 months of hell...and started the lithium combo bc her face is still puffy ..

Who was looking out for this woman? Who made sure she didn't have access to a gun? Who left her alone? She looks like death warmed over. We watched while she suffered and killed herself. Let her talk,it is all she has. Pathetic.

I really do miss Mama JUDD and with Wynonna out on the stage by herself doesn't sound right without Naomi's voice included, the music sounds great but without the harmony of Mama JUDD sing along just don't cut it, the music sounds awful with just Wynonna and now that Naomi is gone but never FORGOTTEN is that Wynonna has gotten a big head on her shoulders and acting out like a badass rock star on stage and none of her music sounds Like Country anymore since her mother's passing, her mama brought out the good country music for the Judd 's and has written a lot of beautiful songs and those are the ones I'll cherish forever 💞 But it's getting kinda hard for me to listen to WY'S music anymore 😤 and I'm not trying to be mean or anything but if you were raised by your mama who created the JUDD 's and written the songs country then sing it COUNTRY and don't change any of the lyrics or songs to sound Rock.... I'm getting to where I don't want to listen to Wynonna 's music anymore just for the fact that her mom is no longer here and that her music is sounding more like Hop Rock..... I'm all Country and will stay this way till I croak....🤠

So sad that someone suggested electric shock therapy...how scary as it probably made her worse. Thankfully Wynonna is trusting Jesus for healing from her mom's passing. Naomi got too into New age with Eckhart Tolle...so dangerous. Sad she didn't turn to Jesus only as he is the ultimate healer

Oprah told her about Eckhart Tolle and I believe gave her a book. I don’t know about you, but I never trusted Oprah. Spiritual Warfare is real and I wish more people would realize this and ask for the armor of God.
