In my opinion, Wynonna Judd is the best female artist in the world, hand down. She's better than Whitney, Celine and Adele because she sings with such soul. There are many wonderful female artists that l love, but she will ALWAYS be my favorite one.
As a Country singer Wynonna is the best.
As for music in general I disagree
Despite her illness I think Mrs.Naiomi lived a wonderful life she pursued her dream was successful had two wonderful daughters that loved her she was a blessing but was so blessed

She actually had an exceptionally difficult life, with enough factors against her to take down the vast majority of people--kind of amazing she "held on" (as Ashley put it recently) as long as she did... nevertheless she was able to find blessing in that life & share it with others.
I agree and I totally miss her like she was such a constant in our world and did so much for others despite her facing such a horrible mental illness that truly needs more discussion and action around it she was brave through it all and I am proud of her for it she will always be respected and loved by me her and her entire family are cared for and prayed for as are you we need to be the love that builds the bridge
That’s one proud momma you can see it in her face when they sing
I saw a documentary where she said she had the best seat in the house to watch Wy's extraordinary talent.

She sings her sadness I can feel her pain. God came because he thought she did her job on Earth. She left this world leaving us her family, and the songs she sang. You can see the love thru her eyes and voice. She Will always be w/ us. Love di d build a bridge and she needed to cross it, there is no shame on her for she gave more to the world than she had. rest in peace princess of love and caring.

Don’t forget Naomi was very talented too. Her songwriting was phenomenal and her beautiful harmony made the Judds very unique and successful. Naomi’s drive is the reason they made it in Country Music. Without Naomi there would be no Judds!!
Thinking of Naomi this week. My heart breaks for Wynonna and Ashley.

These are two songs that I can actually hear Naomi’s voice. She could really sing but wanted to complement her daughter never overshadow
Naomi also had an incredible onstage charisma. That sashay to the mic stand at 3:25 speaks volumes - she commanded a stage. May her memory be a blessing.

I’ve been wondering lately if there’s any recordings out there of just Naomi singing. And you’re right, this is the first song where you can hear Naomi’s voice loud and clear.
I have been wondering if sometimes Naomi’s microphone was turned down. Some performances you can hear her well and others not so much! Also Wynonna has a very strong powerful voice that could easily overpower Naomi’s voice.
Oh my heart, I thought I was done grieving Naomi’s death, but the tears flowed so hard again seeing this, River Of Time, is the only remaining CD I have by The Judds, my oldest son was a toddler & I found him scooting my Judds CD’s across our hard wood floors & I took them from him & explained, as well as I could, that CD’s and vinyl albums get ruined when they are scratched. I promised him I would make cassette tapes of any & all music he wanted to play, he was only 4 & I kept my promise & his musical taste reflects my husband’s & my musical preferences, still. I also was pregnant and delivered our second son in 1989, so many happy memories, even though I had another miracle son that year, who would scratch my remaining Judds albums. I married my husband in 1979, the same year Naomi met Larry. We had to do fertility tests & I was told it was impossible for me to conceive, much less carry a baby full term, but I put my trust & faith in God.

The power of great harmonies you could hardly ever hear Naomi because her harmonies blend so well with Wynonna, but this version of river of time you can hear Naomi‘s voice and how good it actually was.
I am on a Judd marathon recently. Read all 3 books. 30 years later this music will live on forever. Love them

I remember when this was on tv always watched Johnny. A sadness now for the loss of this beautiful lady.this is my favorite song brings me to tears every time i hear it. As Ashley said she was walked home. RIP you are loved and will be missed forever..

River of Time hit harder than I thought it would. I love The Judds and I'll always love The Judds. ❤️ Naomi may be gone, but she left so much of herself, her talent for us. She will live on through that gift that she left us and in her two beautiful and talented daughters. Wynonna, such a presence, such a voice. Ashley, such grace. They are both strong, capable women. What they lived through, when their mama passed, would break most of us. Now Naomi is watching them and smiling down at her two beautiful babies.
Naomi will always be missed, but I pray that she has found the peace that eluded her in life.
I have never walked in her shoes and it was never given to me, to stand as a judge for her life. I do understand, to some very small degree, the thing that might cause a person to not want to go on. Rest well Naomi, you will not be forgotten.

@@deconry I have been a fan since they first made it though was not very into country music of old days much, just Rock and Roll, Jazz and Blues and Elvis is and always has been my number one... Now I love most kinds of music except Rap and Beatles, never liked... The Judds I felt not unlike Elvis had so much meaning to their ssd songs and ballads and could cross from country to blues to gospel and Rock and Roll with those voices and ballads... I lovd the richness and depth of Wynonna and always have loved Elvis as he sings anything and so great at performing on stage...
They were so beautiful, and to sing together is magic. They stuck together, I use to sing with my younger sister that way. We signed record deals. But never could fly, the way some families could!! Both of those songs are beautiful!!
