Fun fact: Mick Gordon has influenced his own genre of metal. They call it Argent Metal, from the game. Anyway, it's basically using things to make music that...don't make music, like how Mick used chainsaws and shit to make this music.
It's amazing.
Chainsaw sound was used for latest Doom Eternal soundtrack; keyboard, effects and 7-string guitars for previous one..

this is actually a variant of Rip & Tear, the version on the official OST is a bit different. both versions still go hard though :) you should hear some of the version of Doom's music on UA-cam that people have added vocals to. some are quite good.

this mix includes a few bits not included in the official ost. i believe this mix is made from everything mick recorded for the game since it keeps jumping between the different riff phases, which is more akin to what you would hear moving around the map playing the game. and after that was done, then he made a new "studio mix" for the ost which is what we're all familiar with.

can I introduce you to our lord and savior Daisuke Ishiwatari, the composer and lead guitarist for the soundtracks of the Guilty Gear and Blazblue franchises? he is a god amongst men and every track he composed is a masterpiece without exception. If I were to recommend a few tracks from him they would be "Still In the Dark", "The Re-coming" and "Holy Orders" from the Guilty Gear series and "Jaeger", "Condemnation Wings" and "Crystal Forest" from the Blazblue series.

My dude, next song by Mick Gordon needs to be "Everything is Going to be OK" from the Prey 2017 video game. It's just the definition of chill. Everything else on that soundtrack is fire, but geared for more thrills and spooks.
Maaaaaaaan that is such a phenomenal song. Super vibed out, but that wall of synth chords he’s playing throughout is absolutely enormous. Fun fact about that one… he used the Polivoks for that one too (the same 80’s soviet synthesizer that makes all the nasty Doom sounds)!

Im a gamer. have been forever and whenever one of Mick Gordon's song comes on my playlist while im gaming i just lock in. I play alot of destiny and whenever one of fo these songs comes on from my playlist on Spotify i become a monster in combat. These songs have unlocked something deep inside id didn't know i could tap into let alone even know it was there. A focus and flow that is almost unnatural bordering on supernatural. There is power in music apparently mine manifest as the slayer in any game i play. My brother told me just last week after having to fight me in PVP and Meathook came on, that, and i Quote " what the hell was that! You are already extremely oppressive and hard to handle but when you listen to doom music you become something else. There is no fighting you like we were doing we spent that whole song running and praying you didnt find us cuz we couldnt stop you. You wnet on rampage." Honestly i still think he's blowing smoke up my ass cuz i still died plenty.

You should listen The Betrayer from DOOM Eternal !! Mick Gordon use a kangling which is a horn made out of a human bone (tibia or femur) which makes the song more creepy (& badass) than is already is !!

So many days late but try the Rip & Tear version on Mick Gordon's own channel for your own listening, this is the game rip you're listening to and that just seems to flow better playing it in game as opposed to what you'd hear from an edited soundtrack.

You haven't even heard the full version. Basically these are game ripped files where every 4 bars music changes on the demons being killed. Mick said in a conference that if you could add up all the files of the Doom Soundtrack you would get about 5 hours of material eternal mayhem.

I think you should check out Mick Gordon's edited version with the video on his channel. This seems like a game rip since the tracks are longer in the game but more disjointed and less like a composed song.
