Alain Smith I wasn’t aware of his control on the molecular level. That’s cool as hell. For all these powers that Gambit has, he is truly underrated for a mutant.
Great Episode Gambit is my favourite character, and I am constantly defending how badass he is :D However in Gambit's first appearance, he uses his hypnotic charm on goons of The Shadow King, the ones chasing young Storm. As he makes eye contact and compliments the "victim", they calm down and are willing to do things for him. The Shadow King watches from above and says "...his hypnotic charm is powerful, even I may fall victim to it." (close to that, I don't have my issue in front of me for he exact quote). So a telepath that has been known to be an issue for Charles Xavier, does not want to be the focus of Gambit's hypnotic charm ability, I would not say that is a 'weak' ability. Great to see more and more people that have love for Gambit. Hopefully Disney will see how unique of a character, back story, and life Gambit has and make an incredible movie about it. Take Care and Be Well
I like him but have you forgotten Wolverine, Cyclops, Jean Grey/The Phoenix, Storm, Nightcrawler, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Mystique, Magneto, Beast, Psylocke, Shadowcat, Iceman, Rouge, Dazzler, Banshee, Professor X, Deadpool, Domino, Collosus, Magik, Cannonball, Cable, Wolfsbane, Sunspot, Blink, Polaris, Bishop, Angel, Havok, and there's way more where that came from
I was so excited when I learned me and Remy are from the same city. I felt more like I became represented in anything I find Gambit in, especially when playing "X-MEN: NEXT DIMENSION", "X-MEN LEGENDS", "X-MEN LEGENDS II: RISE OF APOCALYPSE" and "ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 2".
Louisiana here also; thats why I hope they keep him cajun in the movies. Rumor was that Marvel was going to make Gambit a western movie; I hope not. It wasn't confirm thought. You have to keep him Cajun and shoot it in Louisiana; also make sure the actor can pull off a cajun accent.
Louisiana guy here, yeah gambit is so awesome, as much as I love the avengers and FF, the X men are my favorite batch with them coming from all over the world
I actually liked Taylor Kitsch as Gambit. I just think the butchering of Origins: Wolverine movie made everyone forget that Taylor Kitsch was the perfect casting for Gambit. (Actually that entire movie was casted perfectly; just not executed well).
Some abilities that weren't mentioned: 1. He can charge objects with kinetic energy and use them as enhanced weapons instead of throwing them as explosives. 2. Can use his power to cut through stuff by charging the part of a surface he came into contact with. He has used this to cut holes in ceilings.
Gambit has always been my favorite, I think his flaws make him more relatable as a character. He is definitely the coolest character from the X-Men franchise. He was totally badass in Marvel vs Capcom, his back and forth with Wolverine in the 90’s anime was great. I think it’s hard to cast someone to play Gambit, due to the complexity of the character.
That's accurate on a scary level. For example one of the powers this Omega Level Mutant has is what is argued as immortality basically in one storyline when Bobby was seemingly killed due to being melted into a puddle when he was in his Iceman form a couple of seconds to a minute later he was able to bring himself back to life with no issues and this supposed immortality means Bobby has a healing factor on par with Deadpool cause Bobby on numerous occasions has regenerated lost limbs.
Hands down this was the best gambit fact video out there i also loved the little tidbits they threw in that wrent part of the top 10 and the fact that the girl doing the list seemed to have a genuine interest in what she was talking about
Love Remy LeBeau he has & always will be one of my favorite mutants & Wolverine is second when he isn't trying to get into Jean's pants, then Rogue, Nightcrawler, there are others but here are some of my favorites Gambit being at the top.
Her more nuanced powers that come with weather control. She can control the elements themselves, which means she holds sway over the electromagnetic field. She can move the planets if she was powerful enough. She can see the electromagnetic spectrum. She can control the environment with such precision that she can freeze the blood in a person’s body. She can manipulate the atmosphere around her in such a way that she can breathe underwater or temporarily in space. There are also many other things.
Love Gambit ♥ I really just wish they would get a fresh face to play these characters. People that can actually act but not a well known actor. Someone who can actually delve into the character and blow away our minds.
I love how they draw Gambit in action much like Dagger. Speaking of Dagger it would have been awesome if they had a Gambit cameo in Cloak & Dagger before the cancellation.
He is. He's just also all those other things. He's generally the least trusted of the X-Men and has been kicked out a few times through faults of his own and others.
None of that is true at all, Gambit is only known for being with two women, Bella and Rogue, the others were just flings and the only time they didn't trust him was after they found out about the Marauders... but that makes them hypocrites since they had done crimes as well and he has always been counted on when they need him.
I love Gambit. Whoever plays him needs to be amazing or the project will fall flat. He does have a special kind of luck. It's not glaring, but a subtle boost.
So I consider myself a professional gambit follower and I have to say this video did him justice but I would have loved to hear more of his run ins with other heroes and villains showing how he can live in both worlds seamlessly, or how he once took out the avengers, spiderman, and how he was originally created to infiltrate and destroy the xmen from within, he is quite literally the BEST comic character, even better then batman in my opinion, since he would probably end up robbing Bruce Wayne finding out his secret and using that to hold the advantage in a fight, all of which I did in my personal gambit comic
Maybe wayyyy back in the 90's. Jack has dementia and is rumored to have possible early sign of alzhiemers. And unless you like watching senior citizens hit on young chick's and do impossible stunts for their age, JVD would be a horrible choice as well. Yes, they were good for their time, but unfortunately, that time has passed by.
That's back in 19th century. Besides, savate was a game that the French sailors created. It was a sport converted into combat and than a combat sport. In the 21 century! The hands and feet is focus as one unit.
Not widely known as a Gambit fact: he is a failed experimental clone of Mr Sinister, at least in the X-Men The end story arc. Unlike most of the The End story arcs this one tied up a lot of backstories for a lot of characters as well as a What If style future for the Mutant race. In particular that of Kitty Pryde.
because The End series was basically a What If, and that particular part of is not true of the 616 version of Gambit. That series was written by Chris Claremont, based upon one of his original ideas on who Gambit really was. Originally, Claremont was going to reveal that Gambit was actually Mr. Sinister himself, or at least an aspect of him. Sinister at that time, was also originally planned to have been an immortal child who lived at the same orphanage that Cyclops grew up in, able to change his form into whatever he wanted to look like. Hence the rather silly names of "Mister Sinister" and "Gambit". When Claremont left the series, the new writers went a completely different way with the character.
I hope we get a new Gambit. Instead of getting Mr. Sinister's help, he gets Xavier's help first or he learned to control his energy to heal the lost part then learn control from the prof. Like how prof thought of Cyclops' control issue, he might think of something for Remy. Then make him like a 6th ranger to make him even more cool.
At one time, Josh Holloway of “Lost” was considered to play Gambit. He turned it down because he said Gambit was too much like his “Lost” character, Sawyer.
There is one actor that used to look the part and could do the acrobatics and the accent of Gambit. That is Jean Claude van Damme. Not sure about his acting skills but other than that, he was perfect.
Taylor Kitsch should for sure return as live action Gambit. Cherry on top to make Chris Potter (since his younger age looks a little bit like 90's TAS Gambit) play old version of live action Gambit for the Gambit standalone movie.
Cap won, but it was a very tough fight. After some noteworthy Hand to Hand Combat (well, staff vs shield) Gambit uses his powers to "charge up" Cap's armored shirt/suit. It explodes & knocks Captain America into a body of water. Gambit thought it might have killed Rogers, but The Cap'n got up pissed & KO'd Gambit.
The "writer" of that issue was playing favorites and ignored Gambit's combat history, Cap doesn't bring anything to a fight that Gambit hasn't been through before and there's no way Cap would have been able to withstand Gambit's powers since Cap doesn't have super strength, it's only a little bit above humans. www.reddit.com/r/respectthreads/comments/71escu/respect_gambit_marvel_616/
1) AvsX was a joke. They had Magneto lose to Ironman for gods sake. 2) Gambit's charging of a chain mail suit on Cap should have Kod if not killed him. Caps been taken out by bullets, a charged card is equivalent to a grenade, a charged suit of armor should have turned Cap into a smear. 3) Gambit is faster and has better reflexes than cap. The idea of him just getting punched out is silly.
I remember back in the 90s X-Men days watched for 2 reasons: Wolverine and Gambit. Those 2 made the show for me, Gambit was just cool and has rizz before rizz existed lol! Plus his powers are awesome
As for Rogue & Gambit couple, it just love that came to be true. I love X-Men Gold #30 for it finally giving me what I want (Rogue & Gambit marriage) and the "Mr. & Mrs. X" mini-series that followed that dealt with them on the worst way to spend honeymoon, though comical as it was.
When I was 12, I thought that John Corbett was the perfect casting. A Cajun accent is really hard to do and he'd be more New Orleans accent because he's from there, not Southwest Louisiana. I have had a crazy love for Gambit and Rogue since then and I am so happy they are now married! I even parlayed my love into a feature adapted into a mini-series about a Cajun woman's family history. Check out their history; it's very complex with a tragic beginning story.
Amanda Mcknight,! You forgot Gambit's ability to predict the future through tarot cards when he was temporarily blinded!;) As well as his hypnotic mutant charm !
I never really cared for Gambit. It's not that I didn't like him I just didn't pay attention to him. But after reading Deadpool vs Gambit I realized he's actually a pretty cool character

The solo Gambit project needs to happen. The MCU knows what the audience wants. And we want more gambit. Channing Tatum did an amazing job in portraying the character and I would love to see more of him

Marcel W all they way

Marcel W The reason why I like Gambit because I live in New Orleans
As a guy from Louisiana it’s cool to have a hero that’s not from New York there’s so many from there.....
That why the X-Men are so popular
Facts as a Louisianan also I concur
I was so excited when I learned me and Remy are from the same city. I felt more like I became represented in anything I find Gambit in, especially when playing "X-MEN: NEXT DIMENSION", "X-MEN LEGENDS", "X-MEN LEGENDS II: RISE OF APOCALYPSE" and "ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 2".

Ah someone else watched comics explained too
i love gambit so much i wish that movie would come out
A Gambit movies would have been great to watch.
Got cancelled
I'm happy it got canned because Channing Tatum as gambit sounds like complete garbage maybe we will get a recast with a better actor
Not only that... but Tatum wanted the film to be a romantic comedy...
Gambit is my favorite character but glad the movie was canceled. Tatum wouldn't have done Gambit justice. Maybe Scott Adkins???
The power to somehow make a weird blue collar and pink muscle shirt look awesome

Taylor Kitsch did an excellent job playing Gambit in The Wolverine. He gave Wolverine a hell of a fight with the Bo Staff.
Gambit has always my favorite X-Man. Thanks for giving him the recognition he deserves.
Gambit is my #1 Favorite Mutant/X-Men and he's in my top 5 favorite overall Superhero in Comics!
He's basically the whole royal flush gang into one.
DO ONE WITH ICEMAN! Like Gambit, he's seen as "a one-trick pony" but really can do so many things with his mutant ability

Gambit's greatest power was to stop the Channing Tatum movie before it began!
