I remember going there when I was a kid...probably in middle school(around 1986). I remember the road scared me to death...and as I'm afraid of heights, the bridge was a major challenge, but I made it across, and have pictures on the other side. I remember back then, they had hang glider ramps on the other side of the bridge, on the edge of the mountain. You could go up to them, and I have a picture taken with my dad sitting on one.
I enjoyed this very much and fond family memories it brought back. There is a noticeable absence of children and young people. Things change. (edit) Perhaps the the wrong day for them. A Tuesday.
So your walking on the "grandfather mountain" in North Carolina called the "swinging bridge" the part that really sank the ship was.. walking halfway across the bridge skipped over the.. 2000 feet highest point, the most thrilling part of excitement THE BOTTOM! Faces stiffened by the windy cold air hoping no one bumps into eachother by accident, once again missing the MARK.. point of interest... thank you it must've been scary shaky cold. ⛄☃🌬
I think i saw an old friend of mine at the minute 14, i guess thats Willie, i'm really glad to see you man, i hope you see this message. I'm Josué (eric) from México.
Thanks for sharing such a beautiful video. I'm came to GFM today for the views, but unfortunately there is extremely too much fog over here, you barely drive anywhere because it's very difficult to see.
This video is great, but may I suggest a shorter more edited version. This is great for the Director’s Cut, but some UA-cam viewers might prefer a shorter version say maybe three or four minutes of your best footage.
I remember my Father took us there back in 1969 in his 69 Chevy Custom Impala. On a good day you can see Charlotte NC from there.

The view from that bridge is beautiful and scary, just moved to Charlotte in May 2019. Need to take trip up to GF mountain asap.
