I wasn’t going to subscribe to you guys - cuz I subscribe to too many UA-camrs. Then I realized that I lived in Lenoir NC FOR 10 years and didn’t even know there was a “the blowing rock.” Still living in the area so I decided I needed to subscribe- cuz you may teach me something about where I live. Thanks for sharing your finds around here.
Came very close to the top 20+ years ago. Really like your video. Wonder how this fared during the storm.. There used to be a big wide sign at the entrance (like 30+ feet across) when we were there. Also went to Wiseman's Peak... That's where you have to be careful, too, and not lose your footage and fall/slip off!
@@FridaysForever we live near Charlotte, NC. Boone and Blowing Rock are where we go to get away for a night or two. Great restaurants in the area as well. I just discovered your channel and am binge watching them. When my kids were young we went to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge a lot.
We were just at Grandfather Mountain yesterday, 1/13. There was snow up there so quite a bit was closed off including the stairs to the bridge. We could go but a few feet past the end of the bridge. It was a beautiful clear day and very pretty. Too bad you didn't go there years ago before they updated the bridge, it was more fun, meaning it was rickety and swung much more than now.
One new years day we went to ravens rock, for take hike day,the north carolina mountains are very high and beautiful. If you ever get the chance take your grandchidren to the natural sciences museum,in durham nc!!!!!!!!!!!
THANKS FOR ANOTHER GREAT SHOW LUV EVERYTHING ABOUT IT SAD YALL DID NOT GET TO EAT MAY BE A GOOD DAY TO FAST LUV SEEING THE BRIDGE AND ALL OF THE WILD LIFE B SAFE GOD BLESS
Hey @Cory Fowler! Thank you so much for watching and commenting and we are glad you enjoyed the video. We did have some bbq in Newland NC when we came down off the mountain and it was so good.
Been there a few times. Last two times they shut the bridge down due to high winds. I wasn't able to get any pictures of the bridge in 2020 the last time I was there. I did several pics from the overlooks on the way up to the top of the mountain.
Man that fog makes crossing that swinging bridge look a little scary, but I remember a passage in the Bible where the LORD says to fear not, I'm with you until the end of the ages! Glad as Christians when can walk by faith and not by sight !
From our 4000' mountain top we can see Grandfather Mountain. On a beautiful sunny day we went to Grandfather Mountain without jackets and almost froze to death. I did not like the stabilized swinging bridge very much. They swear another condo will never be built on the mountain top again.
Wow,, looks like you had a good day inspite of the fog.. Thank you for showing us the habitat with the animals.. it was very interesting. 👍, Thanks again for sharing!!💝
Thanks y'all, that was a beautiful adventure. I got to visit there, myself, years back, it was a nice experience then too....but looks like there are more things to do and see now-a-days...loved the animal habit too.
By karen living in and growing up in virginia, she definitely knows to wear the right shoes for walking up,down and around the mountain areas💃🙆🙌👌👍🖒👋👏🎒📿👖👕👞👌👍🖒👋👏.
Fog didn’t deter our adventure being awesome as usual!

That was cool. I never knew that much was up there. Definitely worth a trip over from Gatlinburg. Gail Taylor

2:31 Back when people's heads were messed up about masks.
Good one even with the froggy skies. I wonder how many phones get dropped by accident off the bridge.
Hey Bruce! I'd say a lot of phones go over!!
You and Karen always choose the perfect music. You all are always an inspiration to all your viewers!

Been several times, but haven’t had the courage to cross the bridge.
It does shake but you can do it Lisa!
Can't do it! Too afraid of heights!!!!
It is a bit scary Janet especially if you have a fear of heights. Thanks for watching and sharing with us.
I stopped after the masks on top of a mountian
It's beautiful!
