Kimchi Making Bowl (hakdok 학독) using Slab Onggi technique

Hyangjong making a hakdok using one handmade slab. He also made the little tool himself used for the inside markings.

The bowl is not essential in kimchi making process but it can enhance the flavours and it aids the mixing process. Sadly, most Korean households now use metal or plastic bowls...
