Fun fact: Superman wears a Freddie Mercury tank top. Freddie was a great fan and admirer of Aretha Franklin and it shows in this performance. It's like he's testifying in church. Some Queen I recommend beyond Bohemian Rhapsody: Liar, Death on Two Legs, Flick of the Wrist, Tear It Up, Spread Your Wings, We Will Rock You (seriously, Adam Lambert?), Play The Game, White Queen @ Hammersmith '75, Flash, I Want It All, I Want to Break Free, Under Pressure @ Wembley '86, Jailhouse Rock and Another One Bites The Dust, both from this concert, The Show Must Go On and No One But You (Only The Good Die Young).
He is the Rock god of all time. His music is universal. The music will continue to be on top. The guitarist Brian May made that guitar out of parts that he and his dad could find. He still plays it today our tour with Adam Lambert.
Queen is Legendary and always will be. Amazing chemistry, totally focused, very harmonized, and a lot of energy. Freddie, Brian, Roger and John, best musicians by far. Musicians are not like that today. Pure natural talent. ❤️🔥
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for not pausing it a million times or yapping through the song. You actually absorbed the performance and had smart things to say
BTW Freddie didn't drink alcohol during performances. He drank tea with honey to keep his throat hydrated & soothed. He said alcohol was drying & he would never risk offending his audience with a burp or belch from beer.
Freddie Mercury is the best male vocal frontman in Rock of all time!! This band is incredible and legendary and three of their musicians could all have easily been lead singers.. the bass player would sing sometime but he was better known for his awesome bass skills and writing Another One Bites the Dust and several other good Queen songs.
Unsurpassable! Freddie's fist-smash on the piano at the end was better than any attempt I ever made to play - total love, and yet so very barely has the magic of Queen been scratched.
Watching Marc's face was the best. Stumbling on these 'appreciating Queen' videos warms my heart. Inevitably with one song, they earn a new fan. They were/are that good.
You're facial expressions are priceless. Like so many young people that watch Freddie for the first time you said this guy has a good voice at the start of the video. That cracks me up. You became more and more amazed as the song went on and you could hear what an amazing instrument Freddie's voice was. In fact, look up greatest voices of all time (not specifically rock) just all and he is ranked at or near the top in any ranking you'll find. Rock on man.
Now THIS is how you react. Thank you for not constantly interrupting! You were totally into it and it's so fun to watch this again for the first time through your eyes! Keep checking out Queen, you will be amazed and I'm sure you will come across songs that you have heard before that you didn't know were theirs. Honestly! Brian is also a god singer. I´ll guess one of the great strenght in the group is the harmonisining voices. Start to feel like the last survivors from world war ll. Saw them live two times in Sweden.
After all these years I'm still amazed how they made all that beautiful noise with just the 4 of them without any electronic gadgets :D It's magic! Thanks for the reaction, greetings from Holland
You were mesmerised from start to finish. That's the Freddie effect in action. The band are so tight - four musical geniuses at the absolute top of their game!
Hi Marc, I've been a Queen fan for over 35 years. I love watching reactions videos from people that are not familiar with the band. Seeing how you reacted to Freddy's voice was priceless. The vast majority of the music industry know he is the greatest frontman ever. You are going to be blown away by the number of classic hit songs that the band put out. Many of which you probably have known your whole life and never knew it was Queen .
not just a singer with an incredible voice, great piano playing. I think it's a perfect triple play with his masterful stage presence. The singing drummer , in the top 4 in my book.
Awesome reaction. These guys still stand up today because they sound just as good or even better live alongside their studio recordings cause of their pure talent and even now their works are a breath of fresh air. regardless Queen's music is so diverse, timeless and put the "rage" in outrageous! have fun!
Any Queen Live is worth your time and reaction. You will never be disappointed whether it's hard rock, mock opera or everything in between. And we, the Queen Faithful, will follow you religiously through your journey!!
People that can play the drums and sing well, always blow my mind. It just strikes my brain as odd for some reason (not that it is). Plus, did you see the angle of his microphone? How would you like to hold your head at that angle while playing the drums for about 2-3 hours? That would suck. Yet, he was still able to sing. Pros, man...
@@MarcMcMillon - I never found it hard to play drums and sing but find it impossible to play guitar or bass and sing. I always end up copying whatever I'm playing on guitar instead of the melody or harmony.
great to see & hear you discover QUEEN. Greatest frontman ever! Great talent, showmanship & incomparable voice! Freddie Mercury is a once in a lifetime pure talent! See, watch their other live concerts, especially his power ballads & the Live Aid performance which set the bar for other bands.Enjoy.
If you love rock and Queen you must react to their legendary 1985 Live Aid performance. You will recognize just some of their big hits in there, as they have too many to count, but they managed to squeeze in as many as they could in their 20 minute set. BTW, love your voice. :)
Great react! It always means more when someone with your singing and drumming talents enjoys this so much. Freddie and Queen did a W I D E variety of songs. My favorite rock number is Another One Bites the Dust, live at Wembley, where Freddie also throws in a little scat singing, the song you just did above, from Montreal; also Hyde Park 1976 You Take My Breath Away, live, simply and stunningly beautiful, just Freddie and piano. You should also enjoy the three songs here in the Barcelona set that he did with famous Spanish opera soprano Montserrat Caballe (one song sung partly in Japanese, Freddie singing in Spanish with her). I just bought the CD and would HIGHLY recommend it to opera fans, Freddie fans, and anyone in between. The music on it is MAGNIFICENT! Put on your best headphones and turn up the volume.
