650 CE - India
Native spices of Moluccas & coastal West Papua mentioned in Ancient indian Hindu book of Ayurveda (Book of Medicine), notably Jatiphala / Pala (nutmeg), Lavanga / Cengkeh (cloves) and Candana / cendana (sandalwood).
Ancient Indians called Moluccas as Samudranta with Samudra (ocean) and Anta (end). This indicate ancient trade routes between sice island of moluccas and Dravidin kingdm in southern india.
847 CE - Moluccas
Persian Geographer Ibn Khodadbeh worked in Abbasid Caliphate described Island of Wak Wak lies east of China and south of India (Southeast Asia), Rich in gold and ebony wood (Kayu Hitam).
Arabs visiting the spice island calling it 'Jazirat al-Mulk' as the islands as inhabited by various kings (raja) compared to centralized empire in Sumatra (zabag/Sribuza/ Srivijaya) and Java (Qomr/Khmer/Shailendras). Al-Mulk later evolved into Maluku and known by Europeans as Moluccas.
Srivijaya envoy to Tang Empire and later Song Empire in china often presented Bird of Paradise, native to Papua, as tribute.
The Chinese regarded the bird as Fenghuang (Phoenix)
In 16th century, previously Germanic land-based Iberian kingdoms of Portugal, Castile and Aragon had transformed into maritime power with the knowledge gained from defeating Moorish Andalusians and Genoese expertise, rival of the Venetians.
Portuguese manage to circumnavigate Africa after passing cape of Good Hope/Cabo da Boa Esperança and dominate spice trade in Indian ocean up to spice island in Moluccas, while Spaniards who took to the west found new continent of America and found its way to the Pacific ocean after passing Strait of Magellan/ Estrecho de Magallanes. Both Iberian powers eventually met in spice island of Moluccas. With Portuguese dominate spice trade in Indian ocean up to Japan while Spaniards dominate Atlantic ocean silver and slave trade in the America.

One of the most forgotten kingdom in West Papua. Sran (it is mentioned in Negarakretagama) founded in 1309, Rat Sran Eman Muun. They were centered in Adi Island before moving to Eman currently Kaimana.
They played a pivotal role in introducing islam in Kaimana and West Papua. The legend said the Rat Sran meet with Gajah Mada where they exchange gifts and maybe form a tributary relationship.

Onin dan Benarda Mertaray juga bisa dipakai. J.W. Van Hille lebih spesifik bahas Rumbati yg dari jawa, mereka juga referensinya pake publikasi memorie-(vervolg) van ovengave kok tergantung afdeelingnya (terutama yg Fakfak penulisnya Miedema dan Stockhof) nah dicari pasti ada tuh di Leiden sumber bahasa Belanda. Lucu org papua tapi melupakan sejarah papua dikira org primitif semua kah jaman itu?

Tidak ada bukti historical source yg kuat, kalo memang ada benar2 ada kaitannya dengan kerajaan Sriwijaya.
Yang pasti bukti manuskrip kuno, atau enkripsi kuno dari kerajaan Tionghoa pasti ada. Kalo memang ada ya tunjukkan...... bahwa pernah terjadi pengiriman burung cenderawasih
Cerita sejarah itu harus punya bukti yg kuat, karena pada abad 12, 13, pedagang China, india dan Islam (Arab) datang langsung ke Maluku.
Orang Papua (byak) hanya punya ikatan dengan orang Maluku yang disebut dlm bahasa Mani Bob ( teman dagang )
Apalagi wwanin itu bukan semenanjung onin, sangat jauh berbeda huruf nya. Wwanin, Onin Fak-Fak.
Terlebih lagi, nagarakartagama itu bukan buku sejarah, itu cuman pujian sang pujangga.
dan yang lebih parahnya buku tersebut nama aslinya adalah Desawarnana, Soekarno yg menyuruh untuk merubah menjadi nagarakartagama.
Jadi kesimpulannya jangan karena hasrat kalian ingin menguasai daerah lain sampai2 kalian menginjak harga diri bangsa lain melalui manipulasi sejarah.
Makanya Hatta katakan: kalo memang betul-betul ada bukti sejarah bahwa Papua adalah bagian dari kita barulah saya mau mengakuinya.
