- I ordered this Orbit Water Timer from Amazon on Thursday April 9th, and hooked it up.
It was super simple, and very easy to program. I tested the manual option and set it for six min. It started and cut off as expected.
The only thing that I'm concerned about is the battery life in the unit. I'm not sure how much battery power the Orbit Water Timer consumes. - Навчання та стиль
Hey TBG GREAT video. I live in Austin. Bought a home about 10 years ago ,corner lot. I use the Orbit 4 channel timer. I wanted to put in a Irrigation system for my yard. I called around for cost. Cheapest was 1700. I put in my own with flex hose T L connectors. 5 misters down side of fence. 5 misters on sidewalks. 3 popups in front yard. 4 misters on other side of house (between neighbor and me singles like yours). 3 popups in back yard. Price $325.00. Am very happy. Will recommend your site to more people. So far as Battery life, changed them once in 6 years. Disconnected them every year because of freezing temperatures, GREAT JOB!!!!
My batteries have been working in my irritation timer since 2017.
Good to know. 😊
Good Batteries last 3 years or so.
Please show us how you connected your main hose to your drip hose. Thank you
Great information.
My only doubt is for how long we can program this equipment? Only for one week or only for a month or for a whole year ?
If we program it for 12 hours, will this keep on working till the battery dies or only for a week & shuts off automatically?
Please provide me a answer.
it will run on whatever schedule you set until the batteries die
Hello up to what pressure can take ? 4 bar ? Or more
You don't have back flow or a filter on it ,and the pressure will kill the timer
What do you currently set it for now that you have had time to play with it and make adjustments?
I have a timer like the one you show. What is the gadget on the left side for? Do I flip it up to start the water??
Can I time this to run for three hours one time a week? Zyosia grass.
How do you winterize this system ?
Manuel doesn't turn on water?
So... I can connect the timer directly to the water valve, turn the water On and just leave it like that???
That's what I did. It's been on there ever since!
So, yours still working? Mine seem to fail. Reset sometimes fixes it. When failing, shows dead battery but not dead at all.
Yep, still working like a champ! I've neglected it for over a year though. With all the rain, I keep turning it off though.
were you able to fix this issue? , after i press the reset button it works for about 30 seconds and then turns off showing dead battery sign.. even with new batteries.
Wow.....everything is slower in texas....
Hey, this is Joydip from India. My recently bought orbit timer isn't working in every 12 hour mode. Only activates once a day. Only starts at 6 am but not again at 6 pm. Need advice.
Call the CS line
No working every 12 hour mode
Translite
what is that thing on the side you added to the hose attachment ?
So the water has to be on? Doesn’t that rack up the water bill
Wordpressgoals nah... it only flows when it kicks on..
Texas Backyard Gardener but the water valve needs to be on
Hi. Is that waterproof? What if the timer gets wet?
It is waterproof
@texasbackyardgardener8873 thank you for replying. 😃
From that time of installing, does the unit still working properly so far
It does.... Still working great.
what about battery life?
Hi Siamak G, you know what, since I've installed it, it's last about about so far, and I have yet to change the battery on it. Thanks for watching! :)
Texas Backyard Gardener When is "since". For the rest of people who took the short bus like me, it would help if a certain time period is mentioned.
@@texasbackyardgardener8873 What means "since" ? Could you be more specific?
- I wanted to see it be SCREWED ON to THE FAUCET. .. Over 6 minutes in, and you skipped it. ... Next
Zzzz. Too long
