The recent Lego Tardis set is pretty neat too. More on topic, these are awesome figures and it's great that they added an arm swivel.

I have the Paul McGann Eighth Doctor future. He was my first Doctor and I love all the comics an audio dramas. The figure has an extra sense of importance because my sister tracked it down loose and got it for me for Christmas. It missing the sonic screwdriver but I didn’t care. It was an awesome gift.
Did you watch the show when Tom Baker was The Doctor or in more recent times. I started watching in 1970 when Jon Pertwee became our favourite Time Lord.
My PBS station played an entire story arc every Saturday, so it was like a movie every time! Tom Baker was a big influence on my life. 12 year old me needed a hero, and I found the right one.

I was ecstatic when I got my favorite Doctor Who figure. I finally got the red and gold Dalek supreme from Journey’s End. The one with the three light bulb things on it’s head rather than two. I just love his design and wish it’d stuck around as a dalek commander in the show. Ps: I love Matt from a DnD show I watched on UA-cam. Had no idea he was such a Who figure fan. So happy to see him. THATS MY ROPE!
I thought about going for an "all the Doctors" collection, but the figures just never really blew me away enough for that. I'm happy with my Baker and Tennant figures as representatives of the line. The Flight Control Tardis, though; that's a beauty.
Micheal, as a semi-serious Doctor Who fan, I would be very interested in hearing about the variations on the TARDIS. If you could walk through them, even briefly, before you give the grand reveal of the definitive box, that would be very cool. Thanks for another great episode, esp. on Dr. Who. Back to work now
Such a good video! I've been collecting these figures my whole life (born in 2001, started watching Doctor Who with the revival) and continue to this day though the figures aren't produced as often anymore. That Toys R Us photo brought so much nostalgia, I even remember the sound effect that played from the display. What a wonderful trip down memory lane.
AAAAANND STILL. NO. ADRIC. There's not even an Anthony Ainley Master (because the one they came out with was in fact "Chameleon" posing as The Master! How on earth can there be no Tegan, Nyssa, Adric, Master to go along with the epic "Logopolis" and end of Tom Baker's run?!?
Action figure guide for beginners, then picks out the hardest to find and most expensive versions of the doctors and doesn't talk about a particular set of figures. I've been collecting doctor stuff for 16 years, since I was 9, I started in 2004. Just an example for a couple of the figures in this video. I've been trying to get the comic con versions of the 1st doctor and dalek, both the black and white release and colour. The same goes for the 2nd doctor and cyberman. They're so dam hard and to get and find. They are also very exclusive and expensive. I honestly think this would put a beginner off.
Wow, my two favourite channels coming together, awesome video! I’ve been collecting for about 10 years now, and this video was fascinating, keep up the good work
I'm not a big fan of Doctor who but I think that your video was well put together and a good guide. I don't know which doctor I saw, as it was only one, but the hat and multicolor scarf version rings a bell.
Very cool. Glad someone did this. I actually have a good selection of these, heavy on the classic companions, Sarah, the brunette Romana, Ace,Perri and River Song, I'd die if I had a Donna Noble

Great video, we've had amazing doctor who figures throughout the years, especially from the classic series, as an old school fan I never thought we would see such incredible figures from the classic era, dream come true, now if we could have some figures from red dwarf...
The fact that someone else understands the agonizing I go through in deciding which Doctor Who figures to display sums up why I watch this channel. BUT... How could you leave out The War Doctor between 8 and 9????
i have the 11h in his purple and like that more than the green. the 4th's brown jacket is the definitive one, and indeed the definitive Doctor costume, but...the long grey coat is my favourite costume EVER! i'd love a coat like that!
This video is bittersweet. Had a pretty solid collection going but sold most of it. Only kept the 11 Doctors set. Looking foward to the next installments!
There is actually another version of that S21 outfit Davison, as seen in Caves of Androzani, which is the one from the Resurrecton of the Daleks set, with Davros. The paint apps on the trousers are a little different to that 13 Doctors version, I would say slightly better, the shoes are cleaner and the head is painted normally. I have that version, although on mine there is a bit of a mess on the jumper from glue pulling the paint off in one place.
I've tried multiple times, but I've never really been able to get into Dr Who. I do like the Daleks though. I really wish Character Options would do a Red Dwarf line (which I'm really surprised they haven't done). That would be an instabuy for me.
CO did such a good job on these! I still can't believe how many classic figures they made. Sadly, the current series can't sell a pencil with a logo on it.
Just found this Michael, love it! If you need any other DrWho characters, let me know I could go in a Retroblasting mission for you and hunt them down in the Uk for you. All my very best my good man , Barry
Perfect timing as a store in the UK called B&M Bargains has just released a new wave of the 5 inch line exclusive to their stores based on the Big Finish Doctor Who audio series.
You’ve got an insane collection Michael. I’ve been collecting for nearly a decade and mine is considerably smaller. I started collecting when I was a kid ordering the occasional figure from Amazon whenever I got a gift card, then around 2015 the US suddenly was finally getting the figures at B&N (with the awful 3.75 line available at drugstores). And then almost as quickly as it came, it left after Underground Toys was bought by another company and then CO lost the US license completely. I then decided to move on to Doctor Who DVD collecting which has now become pointless with the Blu-ray line. I’d like to know if you’ve had any problems with your fifth Doctor figures though. The first one I purchased was the post-regeneration variant which was fine. Then I bought the 11 doctor’s set and the figure’s arm immediately fell off at his left bicep. Years later I then bought the 13 doctor’s set and was excited to finally have a proper fifth Doctor only for me to immediately notice a wired join on the top section of the arm. I didn’t touch it but it then proceeded to fall off a shelf a few months later and the arm broke off. For it to happen once is an unfortunate mistake but for it to happen twice to the same person is just ridiculous.
I have a Mickey Smith where his hand broke off right out of the package. I have to use a heat gun or boiling water to loosen joints sometimes on new figures.
Just yesterday I got my collection out to display after years in storage as there are some new figures coming out in the next week or two in the UK. I remember how disappointed I was when the line went to 3 inches. It pretty much died out after that and the toy section dedicated to it was tiny.
My favorite stories for each Doctor: 1st: The Dalek Invasion of Earth, The War Machines, and The Tenth Planet 2nd (Favorite Doctor #1): The Tomb of the Cybermen, The Web of Fear, The Mind Robber, and The War Games 3rd: Spearhead from Space, Terror of the Autons, The Sea Devils, The Time Warrior, and Planet of the Spiders 4th: Robot, Genesis of the Daleks, Terror of the Zygons, Pyramids of Mars, City of Death, and Logopolis 5th: Earthshock, The Five Doctors, and The Caves of Androzani 6th (Favorite Doctor #2): Attack of the Cybermen, Vengeance on Varos, and The Two Doctors 7th (Favorite Doctor #3): Remembrance of the Daleks, The Greatest Show in the Galaxy, and Battlefield 8th: The first series of 8th Doctor adventures from Big Finish
I got the 3rd (my favourite), 4th,8th,9th just this week plus I also managed to get a B&M exclusive TARDIS set, it’s been a great week for my DW collection and this video is a ideal accompaniment 👍
Great video! I only have the 10th doctor and I make my own TARDIS. But I'm lookin forward to get some Daleks and 1st and 4th. Don't think I can get more because they are expensive to import them to my xountry.
I have almost everything from the whole line. It was the white whale of my childhood and when they put those figures out I went credit card crazy for a number of years lol. Michael if you want to really good Peter Davison caves of androzani figure one of the things I did was take the Regeneration Colin Baker figure that was muddy and dirty and I switched heads with a Peter Davison figure and it looks pretty cool. If you ever swinging through Columbia from Atlanta feel free to shoot me a line and come check it out I've got them all in a giant display case it's crammed cuz I've got a lot of other crazy stuff.
I had to go with the "Burgundy" 4th Doctor. He was badass in that. It also goes well with his Time rifle from another set. It's such an iconic image, him sitting with a HUGE gun that can assassinate people out of time. Also, "serious" face... HATED the sculpting of his smiling face. ALSO, looked more like he did in Logopolis.
6th Doctor... all his head sculpts SUCKED. 10th Doctor... went with his "ghost busting" version. 12th Doctor... went with his Davros 2-pack. BETTER head sculpt and hair coloring.
You missed out the superb 'War Doctor' Figure, by the way. I do miss TRU. I used to get the new Doctor Who figures from there an entire wave at a time. And if they didn't have a figure I needed, then the next door branch of Tesco probably would. Here in the UK, the now defunct Woolworths store had their own exclusive Doctor Who figure variants due to a deal with Character Options. My couple of the Doctor's Tenth Incarnation with 3-D glasses came from there. Speaking of which, that incarnation has a mind boggling set of variations if, like me, you're a completist. Look for variations like: coat/no coat; glasses/no glasses; red Converse/cream Converse; clean Converse/dirty Converse; cream Sonic/grey Sonic. Oh, and there's a recent figure of him in his Dinner Jacket, from 'Voyage of the Damned', and 'The Lazarus Experiment'. Don't bother with the 3.75" figures - they aren't very good. I had to repaint most of the human-looking ones (with the exception of the first Peter Capaldi Doctor, and Amy Pond), as they were just really badly painted. The aliens and Daleks are better, and I'll admit enjoying some of the weirder Daleks they produced, such as the production line Dalek, with mutant from 'The Power Of The Daleks', and the very singular 'Dalek Supreme' from 'Planet Of The Daleks'. I much prefer the larger 5" figures, though. It's a worthwhile hobby collecting these - some are great, some are awful some are 'meh'. Don't get disheartened: for every dull and pointless 'Faceless Granny' figure, there will be a superb and pleasing 'Magnus Greel and Mr Sin' set. And really, really smart stuff, too. A range of Daleks with dialogue and sound effects was released, and they are worth getting. One is the 'Special Weapons Dalek' from 'Remembrance Of The Daleks'. It didn't speak. At all. However, in the novelisation of the story, the writer, Ben Aaronovitch, gave it an internal monologue. On the toy, if you hold down the 'skirt hemisphere' that triggers the SFX, and turn the power on, it will beep, and pressing the button will now allow you to hear that internal monologue. Nice.
Personally I prefer for the 6th doctor's blue costume from the audio series. For a few reasons Colin Baker didn't have the time to come into his own as the doctor proper at far as I'm concerned in a TV series. Very much like Sylvester McCoy. And in fact Paul McGann. But like McGann and McCoy in the audio series he really takes over as the doctor and truly becomes a doctor. So for me as much as I am a Colin Baker fan and I like pretty much all the episodes he was in I know it sounds unusual but I really loved the audio series with him in it and I like the blue costume it makes him stand out. Especially in an action figure line up and makes him look like a definitive doctor in the same way Tom Baker scarf and a hat make him stand out as his own definitive doctor
i have a decent collection of the 80s Dapol figures, not as much with the modern figures because honestly it get confusing wth multiple scales and often no scale listed on the sites i am trying to buy them on. and i ONLY collect 3 3/4" and 1:18 so i have no use for bigger figures.
For me 1st doctor( unearthly child) 2nd doctor(season 4 to 6) 3rd doctor(season 7 to 9) 4th doctor( season 13 to 14a) 5th doctor( season 21) 6th doctor( real time) 7th doctor( season 24 to 25) 8th doctor( children of evolution) War doctor( dalek two pack rerelease) 9th doctor( series 1a) 10th doctor( series 3 blue suit) 11th doctor( series 7b) 12th doctor(series 9b) 13th doctor( dark blue coat) 14th doctor
RetroBlasting your co-host......it’s ok though, it’s just another Who-myth like the third Doctor driving a ‘roadster’ - Bessie is a tourer (it has four seats)......and that myth isn’t going anywhere!
I still have several of the Dapol range of figures that came out in the late 80s, including the 2 handed Davros 😁 On another note, who’s the fluffy owl in the panning shot? He’s identical to the one I had as a kid 😍
The great thing about all these different costumes is that everyone can just about pick their favorite version. Nothing wrong with personal preference, just have fun & enjoy them!

mlight6275 there’s a few on e bay also they are going for around £30
Great video! I only have the 10th doctor and I make my own TARDIS. But I'm lookin forward to get some Daleks and 1st and 4th. Don't think I can get more because they are expensive to import them to my xountry.
I always wanted doctor who figures but I never knew where to find them
So many SDCC packs that I can already imagine are impossible to get
The Mego Dr. Who figures are the best to collect, but they are hard to find in the states. I watched fragments of DR Who as a kid on PBS.
When's the next one coming?
I have almost everything from the whole line. It was the white whale of my childhood and when they put those figures out I went credit card crazy for a number of years lol. Michael if you want to really good Peter Davison caves of androzani figure one of the things I did was take the Regeneration Colin Baker figure that was muddy and dirty and I switched heads with a Peter Davison figure and it looks pretty cool. If you ever swinging through Columbia from Atlanta feel free to shoot me a line and come check it out I've got them all in a giant display case it's crammed cuz I've got a lot of other crazy stuff.
10:20 How about the Real Time sixth Doctor?
11:50 And the Dark Eyes eighth Doctor?
You missed out the war doctor
Part 2
But what about the War Doctor?
Tom's Long Grey Coat is my favourite costume of ANY Doctor! I want a coat like that!
Damn I want that big scale Tardis...
Thank you, guys. This is a very good guide to collecting the dr who figures. This will be helpful in spending more money that I don’t have. 😞
Now this was a episode worth watching! Thanks guys!👍👍👍👏👏👏👏🙌🙌🙏😉
Nice.
NO. I. DIDNT. ..... PART.....2......
The last doctor who action figure that were made were the dennys fisher and dapol figures
"Disco-Doctor!" Love it! 👍
You missed the War Doctor???
Part............2........
I love Capaldi's hoodie. Have 2 different versions with the hoodie.
i have a decent collection of the 80s Dapol figures, not as much with the modern figures because honestly it get confusing wth multiple scales and often no scale listed on the sites i am trying to buy them on. and i ONLY collect 3 3/4" and 1:18 so i have no use for bigger figures.
For me
1st doctor( unearthly child)
2nd doctor(season 4 to 6)
3rd doctor(season 7 to 9)
4th doctor( season 13 to 14a)
5th doctor( season 21)
6th doctor( real time)
7th doctor( season 24 to 25)
8th doctor( children of evolution)
War doctor( dalek two pack rerelease)
9th doctor( series 1a)
10th doctor( series 3 blue suit)
11th doctor( series 7b)
12th doctor(series 9b)
13th doctor( dark blue coat)
14th doctor
Thank you for the interesting review. P.S. my favorite Doctor Who is the Fourth Doctor/ Tom Baker. It might be a cliche, but it’s true.
Ten’s coat isn’t a trench coat it’s a long coat, and the costume designer described it that way. Great vid btw.
Who called it a trench coat???
RetroBlasting your co-host......it’s ok though, it’s just another Who-myth like the third Doctor driving a ‘roadster’ - Bessie is a tourer (it has four seats)......and that myth isn’t going anywhere!
Ha! Nice use of Kylie in the video:)
Gotta love how all of Matt Smiths figures have broken shins.
On board for this!
These are all sculpted so well, I’d love to get my paint brush on them, but I know that’s not what it’s all about.
Oh you can, and many collectors do!
Wait, what about War Doctor?
Part.................2
No War Doctor?
Part 2
The Robot set Fourth Doctor figure is the best and most TV accurate. Can't wait until they do a fugitive Doctor (Jo Martin) figure.
I still have several of the Dapol range of figures that came out in the late 80s, including the 2 handed Davros 😁
On another note, who’s the fluffy owl in the panning shot? He’s identical to the one I had as a kid 😍
