- I created this one color tie dye T-shirt using natural ingredient (BLUEBERRIES) and the Crumble technique! The purple color looks so PRETTYY!!! PERFECT FOR SUMMER TIME! I hope you guys give this DYI a try! 💜💜💜
UPDATE: I don't recommend washing it using the washing machine. It faded the purple into a light purple gray-ish color. Hand wash if you want lasting color! :)

Hey next time if you try with blueberries....wash the clothing in vinegar it might help make the bright lavender stain you like last a bit longer!! Great video and I love your excitement it makes me feel so happy you are 🤗

Hi, it looks great. Could you maybe try out beets because I think that would give a pretty pink color.

Hi sorry didn’t have a chance to update! The color did fade into a light ash ish purple. I don’t recommend washing in the machine lol
Do you think you will you get the same purple kinda color with red onion skins? Since I wondered if onions stay longer in the fabric than blue berries?
Onions skin 100% stays longer than blueberries! 😊

I did try it but blueberries in general doesn’t stick to the fabric well/for a long time :(
I wonder if frozen blueberries would do the same job as fresh ones 🤔 btw yours turned out sooo good it’s gorgeous 🥰

omg did it today with frozen and it worked perfectly. when i was heating up the water and mashing the berries i added a splash of the hot water to make them easier to mush then added that the rest of the boiling water then sieve and tie dye

Hand wash with cold water is best :)
In the UK Blueberries are expensive, I would rather buy dye. The colour looked wonderful though✌🏾+ 💜

Does anyone know if the saltwater part can be done in a bathtub? I have a vintage piece that I want to dye but don’t necessarily want to put in my cooking pots lol
I think that should be fine as long as you soak it for awhile :)

Hi!! Yes! I would suggest hand washing to keep the color vibrant :)

Hi I’m planning on doing this using onion skins do you think I should add salt into the pot when I’m boiling the skins? Do you think there is a difference between using salt and using vinegar comparing your last video?
No need for salt when during with onion skin :) it naturally gives a strong color bond

Hand wash would be best but I only hand wash the first time n machine wash the rest and the color is still good :)

No I haven’t tried beets or hibiscus but I feel like beets should deposits some colors. My favorite is the onion skins for the best natural dye! Excited for you to experience my with your sets!! GL!💜

I’m not sure since I haven’t tried with blue grapes yet! But I think blueberries might have more pigmentation than blue grapes :)
