RIP Jack Benny (February 14, 1894 - December 26, 1974), aged 80 And RIP George Burns (January 20, 1896 - March 9, 1996), aged 100 You both will be remembered as legends.
How can there possibly be 7 dislikes on this? These people obviously don't appreciate something that is seriously lacking in the entertainment industry today......TALENT!!!!!
They were supposed to be in The Sunshine Boys together, but unfortunately Jack died before filming and Walter Matthau took his place (and he was great also)
Walter Matthau didn't take Jack Benny's place. It was George Burns who replaced Jack Benny because Benny got sick with a disease (I don't have the exact name of the disease.) that would eventually kill him.
@@ralmcg As I recall, Red Skelton was originally cast to play the role that went to Walter Matthau. Skelton balked at the language at the "Smith & Dale" sketch at the end - putz comes to mind - and the bawdy sequences with the nurse. It did work out. It's a priceless film.

Thank you for giving us these dates, whether we (sort of) knew them, or not. By doing so, you are paying proper respect to their lives.
George broke down giving Benny's eulogy and Bob Hope had to finish it. RIP to these two and I'm so thankful they're in reruns on "Antenna tv."
George and Jack, two of the GREATEST comedians who graced the stage, and our lives!
Absolutely incredible skit by 4 of the greatest comedians ever. Kudos to the writers as well!
When you had to have talent to be on TV--- God, I miss those days!

The anti-smoking crowd, no doubt.
LOL, you're probably right about that. And I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if my Aunt Ann was one of them.
Who cares? Focus on the positive.

Jack Benny was nervous in the presence of God.
What does that mean? In God’s presence? Thank you!
@@78-Gran George burns played god

How about Benny and burns
Burns respectfully starts with a capital B.
