Your video took me from point A, to point B, without missing a hitch. This was the most simplistic install because of your video. I can't thank you enough! 3 years ago, still coming in clutch in 2024, thank you, Sir!
The wiring from the back are connected matching the rca colors. I got the black wire to the chassis ground, and the red wire to the back trailer red wire. I would like to find out if the connections are correct or not.
@@BiggestCuh that's how I had it first before, now I have both red rca wires together just like the video with the black grounded to the screw on the chassis. The lights will still turn on with ignition on.
I have installed my backup camera license plate on my 2001 ford f150 and everything works great. Except for one thing that the led lights on the backup camera turns on even on daylight when turning the ignition on. How can I get that fixed? If someone knows how to fix this issue let me know pleace thank you.
I cant fugure out why everytime I put in reversemy AC and camera blow the fuse.. I installed a new cam power from deck to the rear. It worked for a while. Is there somtihing am missing?
If you have a volt meter make sure the power wire isnt grounding out. Sounds almost like the wire your grounding out is grounding when its be activated. If it worked fine before it could be the camera it self is causing a internal short
I just disconnected both rca red wires from the back trailer red wire. Connected only both red rca wires together by itsel now and still the led lights still turns on at daylaight with the ignition on.
I’m wanting to wire my camera so I can see my trailer when I put it in reverse and also when I’m driving down the road how do I wire it 2001 F150 Supercrew 5.4
You could run your camera to the back of your truck and have a Deutsch connecter or any other waterproof connecter right there at your hitch so that way you can disconnect it when disconnecting your trailer. The hardest part will be the RCA portion of it all you might want to just buy an extension piece to put in between there.
