yeah yeah, we've seen alot of "new engines" with nice animations on how it works and non are in the market even though they are all supposedly better than what we have now.
@@yuribezmenovthegreat4705 stfuu with your nonsense. yeah their is a worldwide conspiracy among car manufacturers not to allow new engine types. how old are you? maybe 12? and then he asks if others know how economy works haha
This is too good to be true. Better than a turboshaft in power/weight ratio, better than a Diesel in efficiency, and costing only a fraction of those? I won't believe it until I see it on the market.
Lmao you think this gonna go market, hahaha. Wandercluff went to market? No, because no money profit. Lmao if this motors magically got in everyone's cars, tomorro diesel goes -80%
I was waiting for this update on this Engine, that I consider the only new thing that appeared in decades. Rotaries are just the same and I just don't see where it could be better. This one is interesting and promising. But let me tell you.., as an Engineer I can say that hydrogen is a "romantic" dream that has nothing to do with reality ! Yes you've mentioned .., 700 bars ( 10 thousand psi ) is an insane high pressure that I'll never allow in my car, specially with composite materials, no after the Titan submarine. And Hydrogen makes iron base metals Brittle ! And is so thin that leaks through the walls of the tanks. Sorry to say but it's better not to expect anything with Hydrogen. There is no aspect where it is better than fossil fuels.
Where are you finding the thermal efficiency over 60%. I found that in the past also, but nothing exists on their website for efficiency estimates anymore- at least as far as I can find.
Estos conceptos "planos", como el rotativo de Mazda, quedan muy bonitos en animaciones en el plano, pero ahora queda sellar todo eso para que no escape la compresion, y eso con bajo desgaste. Suerte con eso
Hello, i saw that you make holes to equilibrate the piston. What if you make the male disks with two teeth in the opposite position and the female disks with two holes also in the opposite position. The system should be in perfectly equilibrium, the amount of combustion gas would be half but twice in one complete spin. If you need more volume, you can make the disks brighter. So with 10 to 20 percent weight increase you should gain double power. Please excuse my grammatical mistakes.
it's not gonna run reliably unless it uses oil mixture fuel like a two stroke, or oily fuel like diesel fuel. The question is, is the compression high enough to be able to burn diesel fuel.
Too good to be true ! I would like to see this new engine in a car 54 kg , 450 hp , 813 nm : actualy it’s only a dream without proof of concept Wait and see...
With the power stroke happening so far away from the 'crank' axis, high torque seems plausible. I'd have far more immediate doubts about the feasibility of the sort of dimensional precision and stability required to make this thing work reasonably well in the first place. This is a rotary piston engine and all such designs so far have fun into issues with face and apex seals partly caused by uneven thermal expansion no matter which alternate form they take.
In Piston/Cylinder engine.. gas leaks around.. piston Rings but there are lube-oil seal. In rotary engine.. major Gas-Leak all around.. the MAIN- ROTOR.. Even severely gas-leaks when without.. APEX Seals of such Double (Circular) Rotor.!!
Oil in the combustion chamber and titanium parts are a deal breaker in the automotive industry because they are illegal. Thermal efficiency of 60% is something I only believe when I see it. This engine must have quite some rolling resistance if sealed as the rotating surfaces are huge. But a rotating system can reach very high rpm as it does not need to alternate a mass.
Hmmm sounds like a fancy 2 stroke rotary and if i get one of these ill use amsoil interceptor 2 stroke oil with a homemade oil injection system plumbed in with a VRO pump. Might give castor 927 maxima a try, not much low end torque here if it has to rev to 25k rpms but oh well cant have everything! brappp.
I think this is a marvelous concept, but being targeted at the wrong sector. As has been pointed out in other comments the thermal expansion is going to create too many problems. This concept depends on extremely tight tolerances, which may be allowed for at full running temperature, but affects efficiency at start up. So it could be something suited to long/continuous running like a large fixed generator, rather than a small range extender for an EV.
Just based on looking at the mechanical concepts, it seems to me like the tolerances are not nearly as strict as a regular piston engine. Could you briefly explain why you think the tolerances are tighter?
at the point where the "tooth" passes into the next cycle is when you would have the highest pressure, and the fuel is injected at the same time, you are depending on the tolerances to stop the charge from escaping. This is also when you have the least amount of material, ie. point to point, to achieve the seal.
Over my long life I have seen dozens and dozens of "New" engine designs and they sound great in theory and on paper but they never go anywhere! There are always drawbacks that make them untenable.
will not work in this configuration-design. fluid dynamics prevents pressurised air from forming the air fuel charge prior to TDC. also combustion cannot complete to meet the lobe at TDC. so the formation of usable pressure at TDC is impossible.
Cette technologie est bien mais il y a toujours le problème de l'étanchéité, pour résoudre l'étanchéité il faudrait passer par un moteur rotatif à 2 chambres ( à breveter) ou à 3.
