Love these beautiful patterns by Stephanie! This works perfectly with Swarovski crystals but the ones by Preciosa are too thick. Probably have to bezel those with delicas. I love this pattern more though! 😊❤️❤️❤️❤️
Interesting! I don't have any Preciosa fancy stones but I am sure there is a way to adjust the pattern to work with stones other than Swarovski. I'll have to give the Chinese crystal and Czech Crystals a go and see how it works.
I thought at first it was my mistake, but after 2x, I realized it was the 27mm I purchased from Preciosa. When I switched to Swarovski, it fell into place like a glove! There must be a way to make the inside height thicker, but I don’t know. 🥲

I don't think it's a waste of time to beautify the bezel on the back. But I was taught by my clothing design instructor in college to make the inside of a garment as finished looking as the outside (eg French seams, etc.), so it's a concept I'm familiar with.

Hi Stephanie, I have seen this video before, and love it. A question, I recently purchased some really nice Swarovski stones, various sizes. The shapes are irregular, would your interlace pattern work on an irregular shaped stone? I thought RAW would be better, because of it's ability to shape or encase an object better.

It's so difficult to come up with a truly beautiful beaded bezel that works for just about any shape, but I'm finding that this is working out well on almost every cabochon in my stash!!
I have some really beautiful large (48mm -60mm!!) unfaceted Oval Cabs in Carnelian, Aventurine, Amethyst and Onyx - as well as BIG pear-cuts - all unfaceted ... I am hoping that you would kindly show us some other ideas on how best to deal with those bigger Cabs we all have in our stash? I find that the seed-beaded bezels like seed-peyote and seed-RAW don't work well with these biggest of Cabs .. they need bigger beads to grip their smooth, polished edges which are also quite thin for the sizes of the stones. Thanks for listening! You're the best teacher ... I love your work, and love your clear instructions ... it ALWAYS works out and you've taught me so much!! Thanks so much for sharing your love of bead-weaving ... it's so infectious : )

And, Oooohh .. Thank you so much!! I really appreciate your easy teaching style and clear instructions. And now that I've learned the basic stitches I am also learning to create my own designs out of my stash ... but I have to admit that bead-bezeled Cabochons are a bit scary! I started off doing them the embroidered way (bead-embroidered onto felt or Lacy's Stiff Stuff) but then I discovered your own method but these very large cabs have me stumped. Their sheer size requires some extra embellishment, I think. Well I'll have a play over the coming weekend and see what I can do! I have some particularly large and very beautiful 'laminated' mother-of-pearl and abalone shell horse-eye cabochons .. I honestly don't know how to deal with those! But yes, they are all flat backed,and all are unfaceted. Icdo love cabs, but I got too excited when I bought these .. now I don't know what to do with them. Thank you so much for your kind answers and your advice .. it REALLY helps! XX

Ever amazed at your brilliant designs. These are dimensional pieces with Multi-embellishments like bead embroidery bezels. These have to be some of your most beautiful creations! Thank you. Could the scarf filigree bails/or hanger links, (Found some at Panda Whole) and bicone-clad stones be used in development of a set of napkin rings? Each napkin ring could be different? You are a creative problem-solving genius, so just throwing it out there for you to consider?

Oh my gosh Stephanie they are all so beautiful...!! I think you are the only one to do the interlace stitch - you should patent that one lady!! I posted a pic of the interlaced bezeled ring I made for my sister as a Christmas gift and I made a necklace to go with it. I wish I had seen this video first as I would have done the interlace bezel to match her ring. I did the old delica stand by and used the same bicones as embellishments so they would match. But my goodness - all those beautiful stones - a lot of talented work!!! Do you ever sell your jewelry and if so - where? Anyways - thank you for another fantastic tutorial...!!! You’re the BEST!! Wow,so beautiful! I was given this 24mm flaky gold Cabochon flat and foiled on the back,and I was wondering if the measurements would work as you did it on the round black one? Thank You for sharing.
Thank you Connie😊🙏🌻 The bezel will not work on a flat back stone as is. It’s for a stone that has a dimensional back. I have been working on bezeling a flat cabochon using this bezel and a Peyote bezel. I haven’t quite figured out the sequence yet 🤣 😊💕

Will Toho seed beads work? I realize that they are a little larger then Miyuki beads. If yes, what adjustments to make?
I’m sure you could get Toho to work with this bezel. However, I don’t have Toho’s so I can only suggest you sew the first round and hold it around the stone. Adjust accordingly.

Thank you 🙏🌻😊 Swarovski makes a 27mm rivoli? I didn’t know that lol 😂 If it is an oval rivoli then it won’t work but a round might. I say go for it but I haven’t done it so it will be interesting see it done! The beading on the back might have to be adjusted.

Stephanie, what kind of bead wire do you recommend?
Hi I love this project and thank you. However, when putting on. A bail, I originally had them facing the right way but when I purchased more they weren’t . I put on a jump ring as per your instructions but it wasn’t closed (obviously) so therefore , even though I had sewn round many times after awhile it worked loose and I dropped the pendant. The pattern for the bow is the pattern for the ring. Follow the instructions for the square stitch strip for the ring. Make it 7 inches long and tie it in to a bow 🌻The pattern starts at approx minute 9:00 on the video.
