For those of you asking for the size of the units , it would depend on the size of the cabochon , try sizing as you go along with the pattern. I love this tutorial Sidonia , I hope you make many more of your designs, as I am learning.
Your directions & your English are fabulous! Thank you for the very clear & calming instructions. Yes, calming...It was a very meditative experience watching you. Thank you, too, for not adding music, which was probably one of the reasons why it was a rather zen experience.
You bring joy to me a lot! Months of searching for a similar jewelry, but in my country there are many such, or is imported and it is not cheap. THANK YOU! Thank you! Thank you so much!!! God bless you with health and happiness!!! Greetings from Serbia!
Your work is beautiful! I am honored to be able to learn your techniques as I am new to jewelry making. I am in awe of your designs! Thank you so much for sharing!!!
Thank you, Sophie! I purchase my beads from two online shops. One is physically located in Rome - Italy and the other one in Belgium, I left you both links in the description box although only the first one, Rome, has the cabochons. I don't know where do you live but if you don't live too far from Italy ore Belgium, I definitely recommend you this shops. Have a wonderful day, Sidonia :)
Thank you so much for sharing your videos. I am never disappointed when I watch one of your videos. You have an amazing talent. May you continue to be blessed. Now back to the gorgeous ring. I can't find a cabochon 30×22.
Thank you for this tutorial! It's so easy to follow and I learned a new tecnique from you. I love all your works in your channel! thank you for sharing with people :)
Hola Sidonia! Hi Sidonia! I made this ring twice and is loose, not grab the cabuchon. The beads buy it in the store that you mention( cabuchón 30x22). What is the problem?. Thanks for your help and yours owesome desings!...sorry for my bad english.
Bjs elaine.
Sorry, I've got confused. I thought you were talking about the other ring. The tut for the ring band of this ring is called "Ring band for the Swarovski ring". I left you the link in the description box.
I love your method of bezel beading. I have very small hands, so I don't use large rings. However, I prefer to make this a beaded bezel for a necklace. Can you please suggest how I can make this as a Pendant? Thank You!
Hi! You will have to use the tutorial I made for the other ring, the blue one, and make a slight modification. The band for this ring is made of two rows of nine RAW units, twelve seed beads per unit.
Thank you for you sharing this video, you teach the step very clearly, and I learn them without any problem. If you know how to make the ball by using beads, please let me know where I can find it.
Hermoso! Desde Colombia Gracias por compartir tus conocimientos pero me hubiera gustado que lo traducieran ya que muchas no sabemos tu idioma Gracias de nuevo mil Bendiciones
Really pretty bezel design! It seemed finished to me before you stitched the last row. Do you think it would have held the stone in place without the last row? (I watched without the sound with husband napping next to me.)
I just love your videos. Can't wait to try this one. I have a very special occasion coming up and this ring will be perfect. Thanks for sharing your gift. Just one thing: What happened to the band? I clicked the link and it led to a "Christmas Ring" tutorial.
Hi Sidonia, thank you very much for all this awesome tutorial, there are very clear and amazing, I have been looking for the 30x22 Swarovski cabochon on the two website you gave and I can not find it, could you please post a direct link where to buy it? I would appreciate it, to start making this ring. Thanks a lot again
the Swarovski looks like either a size 6 or 8 could you please explain. when I tried with with 4mm Swarovski it didn't look anything like yours - it was very very much smaller thanks for you reply
I made the ring step by step with you. I even ordered all swarovski materials. But, my ring was not lined up correctly and the beading around the cabochon was too big. Any advice?
Dear Sidonia, in this video, you"re using 9 seed beads. Is it because of the size of your cabochon ? Mine is 40 x 30 mm. Should I use 9 beads too (on top of the bicone) ? As it is an oval shape, I wondered if using more seed beads maked it larger or not. Thank you for your answer.
You should make a few units, of both sides - front and back, and see how the edge of the cab "sits" in it. If you feel that the back side of the bezel is not holding the cab well enough, then add 1 seed bead per side of the unit. This way the unit (9 seeds) will have the two sides of the units made of four seeds instead of three and the unit will be formed by 11 seeds. I hope I was clear enough :).
Not very clear but I guess it will beoome clear while doing it. What I don't understand is how adding 1 bead extra will make the unit a 11 beads one (9+1 is 10, no ? LOL) Thank you very much Sidonia
1 bead per side. The unit is made of four sides: thre sides are made of three beads each and the fourth side is the bicone. You will add 1 bead to the two lateral sides. Is it clearer now?
Thank you Sidonia. Actually I found out that this cabochon can't be bezeled because it has flowers on it but they are not painted but sticked to it so the beading becomes wavy. It is not nice. So I made a hole at the top of the cabochon and then I managed to make a kind of loop with some wire, in order to pass a ear hook into it and still have the front of the cabochon facing me. But as I'm new in using wire, it was quite tricky for for me. I think the result is not too bad. Sure it could be better if I had been more acquainted to work with wire but nevermind.....Bye for now and thank you for your help.
I have tried this with a 18x12 stone reducing the bicones to 11 and the base seems fine, but when I do the top netting it is loose and baggy and the stone slips around. Please help, I really love this design, but the larger cabouchon would swamp me.
So I finally decided to do this ring but I encountered a problem. The crystal stone fits loose. I did everything as stated and used the correct size beads. Why is mine so flimsy? Help
Sidonia. you make excellent video, but the voice is very low. Can you please list at the beginning of your videos all the materials used along with the bead/pearl sizes. Thank you!
If I may ask...how do you determine how many sets are required to circle a cabochon? They come in so many different sizes and shapes...it can get confusing as to how many bicone and seed bead sets are needed to go around a special stone. Thanks
Oh, I don't know. I never tried to make something like a chart because I'm not very good in maths, although I think It's a wonderful branch of knowledge. :-) The things I make are coming out just from my imagination... yeah, I think there must be some maths there, maybe I'm just not aware of it.. :D Anyway, jokes aside, I will try to make a chart, although I don't know exactly when or how long it will take. Have a nice day! Sidonia
Thank you for answering my question so quickly! I do understand what you mean. People ask how I come up with my designs and I can't give them a simple answer either. I just say that I have an idea, sit and play with the wire or whatever and it turns into what it is. I seem to know when I am finished with a piece AND when I am not finished. LOL Thanks again! Gail

Hello lovely ring
Биконусы 4мм(18 штук) +15/0 бисер получается очень большая оправа для кабашона 30х22.
You are welcome! :)
Hi Sidonia, if I use a 18^13 oval cabochon, how can I adapt your tutorial??? Thx
Have u seen the bikers ring on youtube...can you make one like it. Its awesome
Hi, Kim. What is a biker ring? Would you send me the title or link of the video?
Sidonia
Dear Sidonia, in this video, you"re using 9 seed beads. Is it because of the size of your cabochon ? Mine is 40 x 30 mm. Should I use 9 beads too (on top of the bicone) ? As it is an oval shape, I wondered if using more seed beads maked it larger or not. Thank you for your answer.

Hello Samantha, first of all tell me what brand were the seed beads used?
Very very nice i like thanks....
I used a 30x22mm Swarovski cabochon.
Sidonia
Superb felicitări. 👍👏👏👏👏🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Hello, if you make 18 units for the oval cabochon of 30x 22, how many units are necessary for the 18 x 13 cabochon?
Hi! I don't know, I don't have chart or something like this. I always work by heart. I will try to make one and make a tutorial.
