This was a very helpful and great video i must say, I mainly play 1.8 pvp and while im not horrible at 1.9 I got outplayed by a lot of people who knew what they were doing. I didnt know most of these things but I do now and im going to try using them(and hope they dont hit me through my shield because of ping like always)

You toutorial was better than everyone's because I am 1.8.9 main and I needed to know the basics, people were getting advanced. BTW I still dont get Stuns. IK the PCrits. Maybe I can already do them because of 1.8.9 Hit selecting experience.
Yea! P-crits are basically just delayed hit selecting. As for stuns, I'm not quite sure how to describe it. The idea is that the first hit disables your opponent's shield, then the second hit deals knockback and hits them backward. While this doesn't do damage, it prevents them from hitting you after you disable their shield. Something I probably should've mentioned is that for a stun to work well, your opponent shouldn't have too much forward moment; they won't be knocked back enough. I hope that helps!
theres a strategy where you disable a shield without stunning, take the autohit and then hitselect with the sword and start a combo so not stunning is sometimes good
Yea, I know about Momentum Breaks, but this was mostly supposed to be a beginner-oriented tutorial. You are correct though, stunning isn’t always the best. Thanks for bringing it up!

Optionally you can sword chain them too after disabling their shield and ngl my sword chains are very deadly
Yea! Always disable the shield before using sword (with some exceptions, but very few)
Good tutorial, execpt you completley forgot to mention the 2 ranged weapons, and when to use them

Like you mean letting go of w right before you hit? That works as long as W is still being pressed. W has to be pressed to get the knock back hit.

I don't use it personally (I find it annoying when trying to crit) but a lot of people do. It's really just personal preference. If you hate pressing control, you could consider setting sprint to caps lock or something. Sorry I can't help you more!

if u think sword is very good with critchains, dont overuse, they are (almost) only good when u hit when the cooldown is finished for more then one time

@@TheMithrandir i was an axe lt5. this video enlightened me, and i immediatley started noticing differences in my skill. i started to use more strats and getting high winstreaks. i eventually got the chance to fight 3 low tier twos, which i all ten hearted.

For sure! For NA, I like play.pvplegacy.net, critmc.net, and mcpvp.club. For EU, Stray.gg and play.leyon.uk are both quite good. Not sure about Oceania, sorry. Hope that helps!

Try these tactics against play3rs like jackeracid
I have. It's tough fighting her, but they do work. You just have to do them near perfectly lol. P-crits especially work on her I've noticed- she doesn't immediately back away after engaging

It’s a custom pack that I’ve compiled using assets I (for the most part) didn’t create so I don’t share it, sorry. If you’re just looking for the low shield Feather Client has a really good mod that allows you to adjust it, or Vanilla Tweaks just had a nice low shield pack.

@@TheMithrandir if I try backstabbing my opponent and try to get close to them, they always disable my shield first. Do you have any tips?
Are you autohitting? If you're autohitting with good aim, that should honestly be better for you then a backstab would be simply because you're guaranteed to get it. If they're stunning you, try to have more forward momentum and get closer to them. It's really hard to stun players who are close to you.

@@randomdude58-gaming I understand where you're coming from, but no matter the skill of the player backstabs have a risk factor involved in them. Autohits are a 100% guaranteed hit, so I'd take that over a gamble with a backstab.
