“Sunday Light” is a coming of age story, and touches on the frightening aspects of religion, ritual, and secrecy through the eyes of someone discovering the truth behind the door for the first time. Strong vocals soar throughout the composition, reaching dizzying heights and diving into low and commanding tones, backed with strings and reverbed keys - it makes for majestic, but haunted nostalgia.

I moved to a remote town in Texas. I am alone most of the time, next to plants and my escape to ChoirBoy’s music.

sameee, i was too a fellow ex-mormon, In fact, what made me leave the church was that I was excommunicated by the life that my father led, my brothers and I were judged for things that we did not even do, we became discouraged and stopped going.
Saw them last weekend and got to chat with Adam for a bit. He is very kind and hearing him and the band live was amazing.

I love their music. Such a great retro 80's sound. Reminds me of Erasure,and other artists from this era.
Definitely transcends beyond Erasure, but I get what you mean, 😄 I sometimes think of Bronski Beat, but… the frontman (I need to respectfully find out his name) has his total unique style of which is saving my life currently by distraction.

I thought i was the only one who caught the wild beasts similarity. Right on.
Here's an observation I had about this video, and I wonder if anyone else noticed: At least two of the scenes in this video were filmed in masonic temple rooms. These two scenes are the one where he is kneeling at a triangular altar, and another where there is a cross and a bench up against a window, and you can clearly see the symbols of some of the degrees of York Rite of Freemasonry displayed above the window and on the walls. The first room is actually a lodge room inside the Salt Lake City Masonic Temple. This second room looks like the lobby or a sitting room, almost certainly in the same masonic temple, and I think the cross is a prop that was put there for the video.
Presumably he used this space because he could not get access to a mormon temple in order to film the video. The interesting part to me is, that I think of this as an important reminder of the fact that the mormon temple endowments are derived from the rites of Freemasonry... particularly the first three degrees of the craft. Even the lyric "donning apron so surprising" is a reminder of this.

I remember when this track first dropped, and i hadn't hard any of Adams other stuff like Human Leather which is also badass, or any of his previous songs, and dang this video was shot so well, blew me away. This is a track i'll keep revisiting for the remainder of my days.
