As daft as this is going to sound, this video has finally informed me of the order of vst plugin chains on Waveform. I've actually been reading it right to left, i.e. first plugin in the chain next to the fader, etc rather than the other way round. No wonder my mixes sound so bad!

Yes. If you want the vocal to really be aggressive and stand out you can hit them with a couple of compressors like this. And of course eq, and reverb to taste.
One hundred percent of the royalties with distrokid... yeah, that's correct. It's just that my debut album grossed 14,000 plays (9 songs, 40 minutes). Royalties mostly from Spotify and Itunes. Wanna know how much? 4 friggin dollars. Playing live and selling on our own site got us a lot further. The plugins sound okay, though
Yeah Spotify and other music streaming sites don’t pay a lot. It’s not a DistroKid thing it’s those sites. I have found that UA-cam pays the most so if you are sharing links with your fans then share the UA-cam link as much as you can.

I don’t think the Tonebooster legacy stuff is available, I went their website the other day and couldn’t find them.
They are still there. I just checked. Go to this page www.toneboosters.com/support.html scroll down to where it says “where can I find older (legacy v3) plugins?” Click on that and you’ll see the links.
