Tony Hughes was the saddest portrayal. They done so much more than just show him being killed. The fact that they showed that much of his life growing up and his ambitions, with his mother struggling, made it just so much sadder.
the way the show portrayed his story was devastating so sad , all victims deserved justice

I was crying when his mom found out, I got so attached to him and was hoping he didn’t get killed.. he was such a positive light. 😢
I kept hoping he wouldn’t get killed even though I already knew he was on the official victims list. He was a beautifully portrayed character and it was devastating seeing him go like that.
I cried so much during this episode. It was truly heartbreaking 💔
Evan Peters should get an award for his incredible acting.
No he shouldn't. He should get some acknowledgement that can help his agents get more jobs for him, but an award for playing a serial killer shouldn't be an option. That's a slap in the face to the victims and families.
@@jaylabell2886 he’s an actor you can’t get mad at him for doing his job he’s not the one who actully killed the victims grow up

Gacy's execution and Dahmer's baptism at the same time while there's a solar eclipse happening is something straight out of an American Horror Story
I never knew that. That's amazing.
@@jcepri They said it's creepy and the way they shown it in the series is actually one of the most chilling for me like wth what a terrifying connection
I see what you did there
Yea I didn't know that until the show. That's mind blowing.
The universe was in tune to what was going on that day geez
imagine dahmer asking you to go to his place with him, you rejected or something and then later you see him on the news for killing people, all those people must've been so shocked and realized how damn lucky they were. it's chilling af.
Glad to see Drew in this discussion. I look forward to his commentary. Love where this channel is going with all the content! Keep it up!
Evan Peters is becoming one of my favourite actors. Hope he gets some more and bigger roles.
I don't understand how a series with the purpose of telling someone's life story would possibly put anything in there that didn't occur in real life. Especially a character like Cleveland who is such a massive part of the storyline and almost takes over Dahmer's spotlight. His story was compelling enough so there was no need to tell things any other way than how it happened. Different if it was based on the story. But seeing as it was THE story it's just strange. However, I was so impressed with the series and I just hope the victims families are okay with all the coming out again.
What bothered me most about the series wasn't the obvious....it was how in the 70s and 80s people apparently had the speech, opinions and perspectives of someone from 2022
yeah i agree. they take the 2022 woke sensibilities and try to impose them on characters from the past
So one of the main characters in the series, the next door neighbor, wasn't real? That's a pretty big deal.
First episode is the hardest to watch. I had anxiety & palpation while watching that episode.
They got the contacts thing wrong. He wore them not only to feel powerful but to install fear into them
The Milwaukee Police Department really failed the shit out of those victims smfh Boosie definitely right, they should def pay the victims families for reopening this chapter of their lives
I just thought of this, it’s so scary to believe but if Tracy Edwards wouldn’t have made and escape with those handcuffs on, I guarantee the cops wouldn’t have believed a black man just running around screaming for help. They would’ve ignored him, I’m sure, but since that small detail was there - leverage was received
Richard Jenkins, the actor who played Dahmer's father also did an amazing job. Well, all actors in this series were living in their roles 👏
I agree he was totally believable.
Good casting option to. He looked a lot like Lionel. The guy playing Jeff had the part down pretty good as well. Especially his speech pattern. When he talked Jeffery had sort of a way to it, and I feel he captured that really well.
Lionel was unbelievable.
They should've picked a different actor. I kept seeing the "Step Brothers" dad.
@@Machoke. Yes I agree on the speech pattern but having heard Dahmer speak quite a few times, he went too heavily on the accent.

Yes. She was in fear of him.
@@vanessas2363 I think that was ridiculous for his father to put that responsibility on her!!! Thank God he didn’t hurt her!
His mother and father were so damn selfish ! All that neglect Dahmer experienced since childhood and for his father to just dump him on his grandma's doorstep! Wtf
She probably was wondering why a Black man was in her house! I'm not saying she could have been racially biased, but if she was, it definitely saved his life
@Mr Dacus the navigator and did you catch that lil shade he threw about “grandma if you’re so concerned why don’t you call an ambulance, yea I know why.” I said 😳😳😳😳🤔🤔🤔
Evan peters is the hidden gem Hollywood has been missing. Whatever he works on next project I’ll be watching it regardless what genre it will be
People will have no choice but to recognize his genius eventually!
Absolutely love Evan!
i’ve been watching him ever since his Tate Langdon character from AHS season 1
quite sure ahs took up all his time, should have head out to the movies
Niecy Nash did a great job too. She out acted Evan when they were together
The most amazingly well done part of the series was the Tony Hughes episode. Most shows like this are hyper focused on the killer with the victims getting little screen time beyond being killed - but Ryan made the audience spend a solid twenty minutes getting to know Tony, his family, his struggles and his dreams, everything that Dahmer took from his victims. It was powerful.
I was hoping he would be the one to change dahmer’s trust issues and just get a good life together. Really showed some serious separation anxiety issues there whether that’s accurate or not
@@josecat436 oh definitely accurate. His interview with stone Phillips made that pretty clear. He even admits it wasn't even about the killing, it was about keeping them with him. Dudes ability to give and receive love was completely pretzeled.
This is one of the best episodes of television I've ever seen. And absolutely devastating.
I got so attached which is why it was so heartbreaking for me ugh
Hopefully someday they can take peace with that portrayal. Seems a lot of the families are not happy with the series.
I understand why some of the family members are upset but this show gave the victims their names and a story they weren't just dahmer's victim they were men who had family and a life. The show also pointed out how the police and justice system failed to stop him multiple times just because they were racist and homophobic.
Yep. It's not about Dahmer, it's about how society and the cops just swept stuff like homosexuality, race, and everything else under the rug.
True, in the long run the show will do justice to victims and their families. But I can't imaging the pain they go through every time this story becomes "trending" and reopens their wounds over and over again...
I AM THE BEEST YOUUTUBER YOU'RE ALL TRAASH COMPARED TO ME IM THE BEEST 😏😏 😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏
Well let’s see, they didn’t let the families know before making it, they have literally told this sicko story in over 20 movies, shows, and documentaries. When is enough enough? If people want to learn, there is a thing called Google, don’t need to keep making the family of these poor innocent people, whom this sicko dismembered and ate, relive it over and over. Just stop, y’all are sick
Exactly. They act like this is the first ever dramatization ever created? Crimes are bound to be documented. The only thing I don’t agree with is the families not getting some form of compensation.
I don’t see anyone talking about the fact that Glenda went through so much, sleeping every single night smelling that smell, and hearing screams at night and trying to call for the police for help and they ignored her and she was so unheard, that poor lady went through so much
I know huh I bet she was left traumatized to smelling bad odors.
That’s because she didn’t; she never met dahmer. She lived in a different building
I thought they said in the video she didn't really live next door to Dahmer, but in the building next to Oxford apartments?
@@xtscarfacem8255 I would’ve been traumatized forever :((

No words for how brilliant Evan Peters is. One of the best actors of this age yet still a little underrated.
Everything I’ve seen him in has been TV shows, mostly American Horror Story and now Dahmer which is basically a true American Horror Story. He is a great actor but he needs to get a part in a major movie production to really get noticed. Preferably not a horror movie or else he’s going to get type casted.

Evan peter's acting skills creep me tf out, he defo nailed this role, what an amazing actor.
Watch AHS, you’ll be blown away by his acting skills, he’s really too good at this kind of roles it’s like his forte
It is truly scary how point on Evan Peters gets on American Horror Story with all the characters he plays knocks it out of the park every single time
The fact the police failed multiple times to do their jobs really frustrates me. I cannot believe they brought that baby BACK to Dahmer. 😩
And the many times his neighbor called and they ignored her!
they fcuked up big time....
And then were awarded officers of the year!!! Absolutely disgusting

And one of them went on to be head of the department it’s so sad
Evan Peters did a phenomenal job. The mannerisms, low tone, how emotionless he was, the way he explains…A1!!
He had a flat affect, which is different from being emotionless. It just means he didn't outwardly express them
Maybe, but his "Jeffrey" have nothing to do with real Jeff Dahmer. In a film you see always sweating guy trying to be metrosexual, and very aggressiv. Jeff is something else.
I got chills when he insisted that Glenda eat the sandwich he made for her. I wasn't sure if it was because it had human meat in it or it was drugged, since he wanted to get rid of her for the eviction (could be both I suppose). The way he was getting aggressive until her daughter showed up made every hair on my body stand up 😳
Edit- it doesn't matter if the scene was fake or not. It was still chilling. A scene can be scary and still be fiction.

I’m of two minds about this series. On one hand I didn’t need to see another Jeffery Dahmer/serial killer story. On the other hand, this is definitely the best adaptation and retelling of the Jeffery Dahmer story.
Exactly this. I was like this is a 10/10 series, but I feel bad giving it a rating of 10/10. Ugh.
I'm conflicted, too. This is by far the best Ryan Murphy True Crime Drama I've seen. OJ was cheesy and had an unnecessary reference to the Kardashian daughters. The Versace one had a heart throb as Andrew Cunanan, which was too glamorizing. Saying this is the most engaging and accurate of the three still isn't saying much
With a bit of racial preachyness for the woke crowd. Such a downer
@@AnDr3w066 Jesse Jackson showing up was true, though. But some people perceived him as one more person exploiting the situation. Plus, dozens of people were showing up to have their pictures taken at the Oxford Apartments, not just a couple of belligerent teenagers.

Evan Peters is turning into the go-to performer of serial killers...and I'm here for it.
Everything he touches turns to magic. He's just absolutely fantastic in everything and I'm all for it. Dude is one of the greats. To see him and Anton Yelchin together would have been something
What other serial killers has he played? I know he was a school shooter in one thing and friend to a “super” hero in another. Even had an office job until he got spanked at one point. But I’ve never seen him as a serial killer before.

The Tony Hudges episode had me in tears and the part when sinthasomphone mother was cutting her son out of photos broke my heart. I really want that park built to remember all the victims. Remember the victims not the murderer

It's soo sad how the authorities treated Glenda when she reported every single day
one of the other inacurracies of the show. glenda didnt live next door, but the next building over. and she didnt call the cops daily, specifically not about the smell and noises as she was in a whole other building. in the show she said she had been calling for months and months, but according to reports the calls were over a period of 7 weeks. not sure why they changed that for the show; maybe to emphasize her concern, or to make the cops look bad.
@@thebrandoshow7878 the incompetent police made themselves look bad
@@thebrandoshow7878 Exactly. The writers tried so hard to make glenda this hero and victim of it all. The cops weren't great but Glenda had such little involvement in all this in real life. Disgustingly inaccurate
Until you realize glenda didn't even live in the building, never knew about the smells and screams, never saw the boy herself, never called the cops nearly as much as portrayed. Really bizarre move from the series to make Glenda more of a victim than 95% of the people Dahmer actually killed.
Glenda was an annoying woman in the series,..full of inaccuracies
I'm a little afraid to view this series, but I've got a deep respect for Evan Peters.
He really is an incredible actor.
I’ve watched clips but just clips gave me a headache
I also was afraid to watch it but I did because I was too curious. The first and second episode were kinda disturbing and the scariest for me but after it shows more of his childhood and then the victims pov and it gets less and less scary (overall it wasn't as scary as I thought). It was very informative and eye opening and I enjoyed it
It’s actually not scary. It’s sick because you know that all of this in fact happened. They also don’t show too much of actual killing or blood. To be honest: I cried in the episode where he killed the 14 year old.
Nothing to be afraid of series wasn't that graphic to be honest I feel like the first dahmer movie was more disturbing then this
@Littenz that’s what I thought too. But the families are complaining anyways cause they don’t get any money from the show. They say the show is disrespectful but i honestly think it’s a good thing to make sure the victims won’t be forgotten. Because to be honest I’ve never heard any of their names before. But I heard the name Jeffrey Dahmer. Which is wrong. The victims should be known. But just my opinion on this
Evan peters did an amazing job as Jeffrey dahmer
This series so creepy and the fact it’s real is so disturbing. Really great series to watch and the actors did a phenomenal job.
Totally agree. The only bad part was why the writers felt such a need to make Glenda one of the biggest story lines. She didn't even really live at the apartments, never even saw the boy herself, etc... They spent more time making her a victim over the actual victims / victims families in this story,
Is it very indeed creepy. I came downstairs and sat with my mom watching it but after 1 episode i just couldn’t see anymore, and jeffreys god awful voice is so annoying. The actors were really amazing though ❤️
Yess in 2017 when the movie “my friend dahmer” came out, I remember thinking that the perfect person to portray dahmer would be Evan Peters. He always does PHENOMENAL in American horror story and did AMAZING in this show. It’s so interesting and creepy.

That is what really hurt me. That white privilege, the racist stereotypes, that blind omission, cops not being held accountable, the city government not being g held accountable, the homophobic remarks and careless disregard when people called about it repeatedly.

It's crazier to think Dahmer had a body on the floor when cops came to drop off the 14 yr old... that should have been number 1. Pure negligence from police department per usual
I swear only fools like you guys would be annoyed at cops because something other cops did 40 years ago😂.

This infuriates me each time I remember. How could they!? I mean decaying bodies smell A LOT, it's not a smell you can just ignore! And to think one of them even got a management position later on....omfg....
What bothers me more about the whole story was that those two cops were not held negligent at all. I’m sure in real life Jeff dahmer must’ve been at least a little more charismatic for people to trust him. I mean that’s how he got away with it when one escaped and was brought back. Other than that I agree that he did great. I just think it could’ve been more subtle when his victims were in his apartment.
He's gonna need some therapy after that role.
One detail the series did get correct is Dahmer really did call many of his victim's family members and told them to stop searching for them because they were dead, thinking it would give them a sense of closure.
I love the lack of background music in the show. It really allows for more immersion. Other shows should take note.
Background music can enhance a show if done right.
I do like the lack of background music in the show, but think it was overdone. Lack of music with carefully chosen passages with music can heighten the scenes where there is no music at all.
The series was incredible, but Glenda's character was SO INACCURATE. She lived in a different building, never saw the boy herself, didn't call the cops nearly as much as portrayed, never knew about the smells or screams, etc... They made glenda more of a victim than most of the actual victims. Really bizarre from the creators of the show
Why didn’t you guys mention that Tracey Edwards wasn’t gay , and he wasn’t in the gay bar (he was in the mall) … he also didn’t suck on his finger and pose for the pictures like that … Jeff also didn’t even come across too Tracey as gay either& it’s pretty weird how they just thought to put all of that for no reason
Exactly.
Agree, or strip dance for him on the floor wtf, I found it degrading for no reason, specially as there is testimony footage out there of Tracy telling how exactly the night went

The weight of a murderer's sin is very great, and therefore according to Manu-saṁhitā a murderer must be killed. By killing a murderer the government shows mercy to him because if a murderer is not killed in this life, he will be killed and forced to suffer many times in future lives. Since people do not know about the next life and the intricate workings of nature, they manufacture their own laws, but they should properly consult the established injunctions of the śāstras and act accordingly. In India even today the Hindu community often takes advice from expert scholars regarding how to counteract sinful activities. In Christianity also there is a process of confession and atonement. Therefore atonement is required, and atonement must be undergone according to the gravity of one's sinful acts.

Dean Vaughn Tony Hughes Konerar Sinthasomphone death ☠ made my heartbreak
Should of shown more graphic details when that dude return for his keys, but I understand that most folks wouldn't stop crying promptly on, had to keep it watchable 😅
The fact that they sent Konerak Sinthasomphone back after escaping is truly unforgivable! How could you send a innocent child back who was clearly not 19? This is so evil, he could've been happy, he could've had kids! But that was all taken away from him! All of the victims could've had long happy lives....if it wasn't MONSTER and if the police just listened... RIP to all the victims🕊
To be fair the manner in which they were reporting him was pathetic. Like actually listen to the phone calls and try to forget the context after the fact. It's like "yeah there's a nasty smell coming from his apartment and he's an odd man". People don't get that at the time old people were calling the cops on gay men for no reason, and it would always have them investigating some kind of dildo dungeon, which is kind of disgusting if you're a hetero man who doesn't want to touch something that's been in another man's ass.
They can deny it all they want, but I truly believe that racism and homophobia made those 2 jokes of a cop give that poor boy back to Dahmer
Cops need proof of guilt, not proof of innocence. Otherwise it's a fishing expedition and it's not legal. It isn't legal to just search a home either without a warrant. To me the fault here, other than Dahmer's, lies with the neighbor for not being able to present actual evidence of criminality to the police, secondly on the DA for not issuing a warrant and thirdly on the police for not requesting one. The reason they finally searched his apartment was that the guy who escaped it and his handcuffs provided probable cause, which is the only excuse police can use to enter a domicile without a warrant.
You don't want to reverse this tradition, trust me. It's not perfect but better than the opposite thing. Stopping unlawful searches is the entire reason for the western legal tradition, because it gets abused. This is why there's a Fourth Amendment: to stop police abuse of the citizens. It's supposed to hogtie them, and you should be wary of anyone encouraging you to abandon it, whether it's MSNBC, Al Sharpton or Netflix. They up to some shenanigans!

In honour of his victims.... Never forgotten .... We cannot begin to imagine the true horrors that these innocent men went through. My heart goes out to all affected by his heinous crimes
Jeffrey Dahmer victims list:
His first victim was Steven Hicks, a hitchhiker he befriended and invited back to his parents’ home in Ohio for beers on 18 June 1978.
There he knocked the 18-year-old unconscious with a dumb-bell, strangled him, dissected the body and buried the remains in a shallow grave in the garden.
Steven Tuomi was his second victim, killed in a rented room at the Ambassador Hotel in Milwalkee on 20 November 1987.
Dahmer claimed he had no intention of killing the 25-year-old after inviting him back to his room but awoke to find him dead on his bed.
His third victim was 14-year-old James Doxtator, who he met outside a gay bar in Wisconsin on 16 January 1988.
Dahmer lured him to his grandmother’s home in West Allis, where he strangled him and kept his body in the basement before dismembering and discarding with the rubbish.
No remains were ever found.
On 24 March the same year, Dahmer drugged and strangled Richard Guerrero in his bedroom in West Allis.
After dismembering and discarding the 22-year-old’s body, he kept the skull for several months.
A year later on 25 March, Dahmer drugged and strangled Anthony Sears at his grandmother’s home.
The 24-year-olds skull and genitals were found in a filing cabinet at Dahmer’s home when he was arrested in 1991.
In 1990, Dahmer took the lives of four men in the space of as many months while living at his apartment in Milwaukee.
On 20 May, he killed Raymond Smith at the apartment by drugging him with sleeping pills and then strangling him.
He later spray painted the 32-year-old’s skull and kept it in a filing cabinet.
A month later on 14 June, he drugged and strangled a former acquaintance Edward Smith.
He accidentally destroyed all the remains and so was unable to keep any body parts.
Dahmer met Ernest Miller outside a bookshop on 2 September in 1990, drugged him and then knifed him in the neck at his apartment.
Then three weeks later on 24 September, he strangled David Thomas at his apartment and then dismembering him.
I wish they showed all the victimns lives instead of just a few the only victimn who story they really told fully was tony hughes

@@valrach7303 I think the commenter was comparing how most killers will lie and say they didn't do it but Dahmer calmly told the police everything and asked for the death penalty. He didn't fight to stay alive, even when he was beaten to death.
Every single person who has invested time in studying the dahmer case knows,... him getting caught was his ultimate relief. Not only did he know he was wrong, him killing people he didn't hate and even was in love with was only out of his desperation to them not leaving.
Jeff’s mindset just likes animal trying to capture their victim. In many scenes of the movie, the father kind of psychologically grooming him to be cruel and shown him how to terror the death corps of animals which were unnecessary. The father was to blame, Jeff’s family very cool heart as it seems.
The boy is not his boyfriend. Mojo is wrong.
This adaptation really humanized the victims, they deserve a memorial. Tracy and Glenda deserved so much more. Dahmer shouldn't have been born, he skated by for too long and this showed how much cops don't care about the marginalized.

The Milwaukee Police didn't want them back. The 2 cops were then shown being given awards which never happened. The part with the police prank calling Konerak's father never happened either. Jefferey wasn't a psycopath, he was sane enough to know what he was doing. He knew right from wrong. He had self hate. He knew he could stop and knew what he was doing was wrong. He chose not to stop. What makes him different and worse than other killes is he was self aware, and he admitted his crimes but could never look his victims family's in the eye.
@Karma Loud and wrong. As jeffery was getting arrested he said "For what I've done I should be dead." This clearly proves he didn't admit his crimes because he didn't like court. He admitted his crimes because he understood how wrong what he did was. It was also unnecessary to insult me.
