The Beat has the same E07A motor as the Acty and other keituros so timing belts and water pumps are available on e-bay. I have the part numbers for the locally available stuff like oil filter, thermostat... when needed.
The Honda Beat is joy distilled into a single vehicle. I absolutely loved the one I imported and eventually sold, but I've been seriously considering bringing in another one for just me. Last one was pink though, and was so, so dope.

I'm so relieved that you didn't buy that over priced, clapped out, red Beat with the Lambo doors. This one has just the right amount of issues to work on, and will give you plenty of content, which I will watch. I think you made the right choice.
I didn't hate the Life, but I'm glad you unloaded that econo-box. It just didn't suit you. This Beat is just the right condition for your channel: Not a total resto, in pretty good mechanical nick, and potential to end up something really nice, and worthy of a former Miata fan-boy. Good job, Nick!

Not sure about NY, but most states just grief trucks and vans but cars are fine. Mostly because of side by side sellers.
