Vob cover enter Sandman.. React...
About *Enter Sandman* from 2014. The Warning put that video online so their relatives could see their progression at their homes instead of travelling to Monterrey. Fortunately for us. That video went viral.
You mean FORTUNATELY right?
@@yomahmaful - yes I did. Thanks for the correction.
Agreed. Using the iconic riff as the outro is such a gutsy move.
They have the talent to play that part with great confidence; I wouldnt say gutsy. its a homage to the song that help start them on their musical journey.
@@nukchuu1 By gutsy I mean saving the most noticeable part of the original and using that as an outro takes courage.
Now imagine them playing this live. As the outro hits, the spots come on illuminating Metallica who joins in then they all carry on with the original version.
When I saw the premiere announcement here on UA-cam, my first thought was "Oh no, please not another 1:1 cover", because let's face it, there have been far too many of those in the past 30 years, so this song, as iconic as it may be, is almost a pain in the neck... Well, what can I say, I watched the video 3 times in a row because I was really blown away by what a great interpretation they did of this song. :)
And you're the second person I've seen so far who's noticed that this version here could actually be seamlessly connected to the end of the original, because sound-wise it starts exactly where the original ends.
These girls have created something really great here from my point of view, and I think it will open many doors for them.

「 'Our rock never dies ever. Forever!' 」- from BAND-MAID 'Manners' 🕊️
Old school nerd also pointed that out. So true 🤟🏼
🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
This is absolutely cracy. Those Ladies know how to attract me :D And the Attraction comes from their own intepretation of this song. Like you said, there are so many 1-1 covers out there and they are pretty boring. But this here just rocks, even their early years cover is absolutely cracy
Story is that Metallica’s team invited Alessia, not The Warning, and then someone suggested a collaboration with The Warning (they are on the same agency). They only had a week to do everything and they did it. Most of the material was done in Monterrey, Mexico. This song was also chosen to be used in the trailer of Marvel’s “Midnight’s Sun - The awakening” video game.
As Lars said in an interview with Rolling Stone:
“We said, ‘Pick a song. Do what you want with it. If you want to play it backwards or turn it on its head, we respect and appreciate it.’ ” -Lars Ulrich
Thanks for sharing this Jonas! The guys from Metallica seem like such solid dudes! I loved seeing James tear up when Elton John complimented his music on Stern.
Interesting: There is a video where Alessia says "They asked me if I want to do Enter
Sandman with them"... So for me it is not yet clear who of them was invited...
Video link: ua-cam.com/video/4cJvO__ku9g/v-deo.html
@@TheBitEater I noticed that too. Best guess, management arranged things and The Warning then formally asked Alessia if she wanted to do this together, as in DPA reached out to Alessia to see if she was OK with the arrangement. Not sure we'll ever know the real story or sequence of events.
@@TheBitEater Yes, I have seen both version floating around the nets. I'm guessing 'They' is either artists management, maybe we'll know who asked who eventually ;) The story I shared was the most common one I saw, so that's what I shared. Awesome collab in any case :D
I give credit to Alessia for such a good call and to Metallica for agreeing it was a good idea! This is arguably more goosebump-inspiring than the original. Fantastic performances, arrangement, production, videography!
This reinterpretation is so haunting, eerie, and surreal; sung from the other side, the spirit world where the creepy crawlers are. Pau saying the prayer gives me the heebie jeebies. I would say they have done to this song what Disturbed did to The Sound of Silence; this song is now theirs.
From little kids to lionesses on the prowl slinking through that building & down the stairs.
Brilliant arrangement. Pure talent that just gets better & better.
Saving that guitar riff for the end is like how in James Bond movies they'll just tease the theme and then finally unleash it at a powerful moment for full effect. This video and arrangement was cinematic!
Exactly what the Marvel game teaser has done with it. Made me want to buy the game and I don’t even own a game console. 😄
Thank god for all talented and skilled female rockers they bring life back to the music, Special thanks to "The Warning, LOVEBITES, Jinjer and BRIDEAR. Love from Sweden.
You're so right. I would ass Band-Maid and Gacharic Spin
I would add Plush, Motion Device, and even Liliac and GFM to that list. And that's not even including established acts like Evenessence, Halestorm, or The Pretty Reckless.
you missed Band Maid 😊
@@maurormatos beat me to it
This is not cover. This is a recreation. Best Band in this Universe 🤘🙏🏻❤️🇫🇮
THE WARNIG HOW THEY USE BREAKING PARADIGMS, RISKING WITHOUT FEAR, LEAVING THE COMFORT ZONE, AND AS A RESULT GENERATING A WORK OF ART LONG LIVE MEXICO AND THE 21ST CENTURY ROCK REVOLUTIONARIES !! THE VILLARREAL SISTERS.
NO ME GRITES, 😂 🤟🏼
Thank you for this reaction, the Warning are freaking amazing. This was the best cover I've seen them do in a long time. A lot of their performances from LICEO are killer, my favorites are "Escape the Mind", Hysteria", and "Everlong". Thanks Again.
The Warning did two Muse covers. Because *Ale has stated her favourite band is The Muse.*
Hysteria: 2015

Resistance: 2014

.
Dany got a new black, shiny PRS for this video. Also, Ale has a new black, shiny Spector bass to match Dany.
Dany said she would love to keep that one they sent for this video, but she wasn't sure they would allow her to keep it.
A ALEX WEBSTER signature Spector
Dany also said that the main riff is there but it’s slowed down.
In 2014 Ale's left foot is a cuteness overload!!!😍 And now, she looks the leader of an assassins squad😍😍!!! What a badass entrance😎!!!
Yes you´re right, this girls deliver a message to all of us, we have to go better and better every single day.
Best reaction in the last few days to this song in general, all good vibes no negative energy thanks bro 🙏 great reaction!
The genius of The Warning!!! 🤘🤘🤘😍😍😍
EPIC song that ends in a supernova!!
Very cool arrangements. They did a superb job!
They are getting better and better!
Viva The Warning!! ⚡⚡⚡
This rendition is darker than the original, as in lock all the doors check behind the couch keep a baseball bat and flashlight at the ready kind of dark. Love it🤘😎
The girls did such a awesome job on changing this to suit what was originally intended for the song! Dany Pau and Ale are so awesome at tempo changes during a song so seeing/hearing how it progressed in this song is no surprise but its so cool.
Great job Wave Potter! We will always welcome you back to The Warning! More to explore.
Pau bared her teeth at "things that bite".
This is so much darker than the original, and, in my opinion, more cohesive.
The start of this song is the end of the original song - its almost like a hand-off in a relay race. The Warning starts at the end of the original and they do their own version.
Loved this. One correction though, it was Ale that sang the prayer part in the first one and Pau in the second version
Actually the first one was a call-and-response like the original. Pau's call, and Ale's response. So adorably cute.
@@charlielightfoot7006 That's true, but he didn't acknowledge Ale's part, so I was just stating that part. I always see it as being more Ale's part in the original.
Best rendition of this song hands down! Hail the Warning! Much love for DPA!❤️
Fantastic reaction/review/analysis/observation/breakdown Wave Potter! I love The Warning's revamped arrangement of this timeless classic. Dany said on her Instagram that they arranged, recorded the music and vocals, AND shot the video to this all in one week. 🤔
Thank you for supporting TW!
🔥🤘🤓👍💯👏👏
I knew you’d do a masterful review of this mind blowing version of ES! That section with the three doors and the harmonies is as good as anything I’ve heard them do vocally.
Dany said they want to do it live and what better place to bust it out than at Rockville in November with Metallica in the house…and me!
Hoping it happens at the troubadour as well. 🤞
The first line of this version is the last line James Hetfield sings in the original. Almost as if they meant it as a continuation to the original.
Awesome reaction. Great breakdown.
That. Was. An. Excellent. Reaction. I’ve probably listened to the song 50 times and I discovered a lot of new little details from you that I hadn’t noticed before. Love your enthusiasm, love your broad musical knowledge and omg I love The Warning and Love Love, Love this track. I grew up playing the Beatles and other great ‘60’s and 70’s music in a band and following Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, Cream, Jimi, Pink Floyd and many others. I slept through the 80’s but picked up with Radiohead and Muse and the Black Keys and so much more and I think *this* might be my favourite rock track of all time. Like you said, there is so much going on, so much depth and so many layers vocally and instrumentally. Perfect contrast in vocal styles. So much respect to the original while creatively breathing something completely new into it. The buildup of energy throughout the song. And it all just dovetails and works. Perfectly.
Always enjoy your analysis and enthusiasm for other musicians. Keep up the great work! 👍😎
Everything The Warning does is pure gold! They are simply the best!
Nuff said man. You understand their greatness and still developing! Wait until the rest of the World discovers this Phenomenon! Oh and 4 new songs coming next month, part of a next album called Mayday
Great, entertaining reaction! You touched on it. The Warning are much more than just a great band. Your reference to Muse was interesting. I was never a listener to Muse but now I need to be. Just a note, Spector and PRS sent Ale and Dany special black intruments just for this video.
Excellent presentation Wave! What an incredibly cool groove these women represent her. What a talented band!
Perfectly reimagined
Wouldn't it be great if The Warning linked up with Band Maid for a tour or even an album - World Domination must surely follow.
That'd be amazing
YES!
Band Maid is a typical Asian wanna-be Western, useless band....
@@jdg48439 they're excellent musicians
one thing that hasn't change.. Pau was just as intense then as now, lol
I've been away from youtube music for a while but what Iagreat reaction to come back to! Love that you showed their first Enter Sandman then this amazing new cover. These ladies certainly know how to put together a music video. Thanks for putting this reaction together.
I just took a look at your merch and it's great that Rosie is featured as well. Will look more carefully later.
This is really great, I love the harmonies and that slow roll original riff playing when Pau is doing the prayer and during the harmonies. Super great Reaction / Analysis Wave Potter you always have interesting insight and really positive energy.. 🤘⚡🤘
This is a worthy and awesome reaction! Dude gives insightful observations.
I wish my hands weren't all messed up and I could still play. I'd jump on one of those Firefly LP copies in a second! I've seen a couple guys on YT actually reviewing those, and overall the QC and sound on those is really good compared to some of the stuff Gibson is putting out these days.😜 That said, it really is amazing how far these gals have come in a few short years, and they've certainly worked their butts off for it! This collab with Alessia was brilliant, and I actually wouldn't mind seeing them do a couple more if they can get together in the near future. It would really be cool if they can get her on stage with them sometime during their upcoming tour, to do this track and maybe a few others.😉 Great review Wave.. much appreciated! 🤘😎🤘 *P.S.* They filmed this at a burned out factory in Monterrey, MX, and yep, perfect location and ambience for this track!👻
Realized I hadn't subbed. Taken care of now. More of The Warning is always a great thing.
Great analysis! Thank you for the music lesson.
Love this cover the warning super band 🤟
Producers make the final difference. The Warning are like the best ingredients for a prefect food dish, but you need a great chef for this meal to be realized. Yes, they've gotten better, but with a top tier producer, outer space is now the limit.
Look over aleisia's head when you start the video after the first break (1:03) Bat?
You are right they pretty much start off where Metallica ends their version. Then This one ends where Metallica's really kicks in. So you have 2 different songs telling the same story in a never ending circle.......
THE WARNING LO MEJOR DE LO MEJOR THE WARNING THE BEST OF THE BEST
The constant smile on your face and the input of your musical knowledge made me a subscriber. Keep up the great work my friend.
THE WARNING HAS WORKED A LOT TO BE ONE OF THE BEST ROCK BANDS IN 2021, TALENT, QUALITY AND A LOT OF HUMILITY
WP you need to explore Queen Of The Murder Scene the song writing should be from a mature person i can't believe they were so young when they wrote and performed it . So they are my new favorite band even though i have liked them for awhile ; great reaction
Great reaction brother! This is a Masterpiece...I love the original but this is next level! 🖤🔥🤘💖
In the beginning it can be a James Bond theme Song... Love this Version!!!
Great Reaction ! BTW It was Ale who recited the Prayer in the 2014 Version and Pau in this new Version
Actually, if you back and check, you'll see that they both did it, it was a back and forth between the two of them.
Hermano me gusta como haces tus reacciones ,estas chicas han hecho un gran trabajo y han logrado una evolución impresionante es innegable el talento que tienen y reconocer que han trabajado para lograr desarrollarlo, gracias por la advertencia
Super reaction. Thanks
The Warning never fails to amaze me.
Absolute genius arrangement. Ladies from our north and south boarders did am amazing job on this American masterpiece. 👏 No wonder METALICA put this first on the BLACKLIST. 🔥
Good reaction/review 👍👍🤘
It's now 135 hours since the song was released. This is now what I think of as Enter Sandman. The original is so overplayed, and every band that fancies themselves metal or hard rock covers it, usually with no particular inspiration other than "this is *Enter Sandman*". This has a musical beauty and sophistication that the original lacks. It keeps the elements of the original, but with far more polish, majesty, and yes, even power. And I completely agree about the buildup after Pau's spoken lines (that's Ale in 2014). The three repetitions of "hush, little baby", each building in intensity and complexity, with the bridge to the final riff as heavy as can be, make for a fantastic close to the song.
I've heard four of the other five versions of this song on Blacklist. All of them are simply stylistic variations on the original. This is the only one that dared do something different, and they nailed it. And while a few of the others did a video, none of them did it with this level of artistry. Real hustle on their part.
I hope you eventually checked out their live performance at the Teatro Mettopolitan CDMX in august 2022.
It was Ale, the first time doing prayer part with Dany the second time was Pau! Both did great
The song was re-arranged, recorded, mixed and the video filmed, all in a week. Rudy their manager directed the video. The guitar and bass in the video is not theirs, but black ones that were sent to them by PRS & Spector.
Videos that may interest you about their gear.

Great reaction Wave!
Fire 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘
It's so funny, Dany is such a performer that spent the day before and the day of the recording practicing her angry James Hetfield face....
Mind blowing 🤯🤪how good they are now 👏👏👏👏great video 😎🔥👍🏻🥂
Seriously awesome. It has “Bond Theme” feels! 🤟🏻
You forgot to mention the great stances by the Stancemeister ;) hehe
If your like her Les Paul and PRS, she has 2 - count them - Rick Toone Spearfish. And she’s got a new Acoustasonic she loves as well….
Really great reaction, a top 3 for sure.
"This almost reminds me of Muse". They're all huge Muse fans, so that makes perfect sense lol!

Everything sounds like Muse to you Wave. ....just kidding.
He's in pretty good company, considering that that's one of Ale's favorite bands.
@@robertkrawitz8237 Wave is actually amazing. He can pick a small part out of a song and tell you that it sounds like .... then he pulls up the song plays the bit and he's right.
Any relation to Harry Potter? 😂 Sorry, sounds like a dad joke.
